It may have been stolen or the crack in the side was enough to total it. It did not have keys, so no one knew if it would start or how used it was. In this video, we give it a deep cleaning, we get new keys and go for a first startup! This thing is nearly brand new for half off!

The spark is awesome! Remember to look out the coolant level, it has a closed loop cooling system and also the oil level. The sound is normal, the vibration of the engine makes the impeller and nozzle sound like that.

That noise is perfectly normal and that’s being caused by the propeller since it doesn’t have water to lube it from metal to metal

The noise is normal but the *impeller* has a plastic wear ring around it, not necessarily metal but yeah general concept is correct

These rotax are almost bulletproof, they’re so good. Sport mode makes a huge difference
To answer your question. They are very reliable engines. I see many here in Minnesota with 1k-2k hours running strong. If you keep up on maintenance they will last a very long time. The hulls are easy to work on and replace plus you can still get every part for that machine.
I bought a spark trixx for 2. To do an oil change I suggest letting the dealer do it as you have to take the top part of the haul off. When doing a flush remember to turn on the engine first and then turn the water. When turning it off turn off the water first and then the engine. Engine sounds great. $5500 is a give away for it.
Sounds perfectly fine it’s also fine to rev as long as you have water running through it
Hey guy's had a 2014 Sea-Doo GTI-SE 130 thing was amazing. The pump noise out of water is normal. Dont run it more then 30 second to 1 minute out of the water. Always check the impeller for debris. Use the drain plug to get all the extra water out. Give it a good once over with maintenance and fix your hull issue and you should hopefully be good to go out on the water. One last thing not all states require it but at least her in NYS we have to have a boating license or be in the company of someone with a boater license in order to operate a Sea-Doo or it could be a fine. As always wear a life jacket for safety and attach the key to it as added precaution...looks like a good buy though so far!
My family owns a Sea-doo GTX. The sound when you started it sounds fine when its off the trailer thats how ours sounds out of water. Also the footwells are made to fill with water.
You guys should definitely do a regular spark to trixx spark conversion and document how that works. Would be a lot of fun and would give y’all a sick jetski.
Owned a spark since they came out in 14’. That noise is completely normal when out of water, it takes regular gas (that’s what the Rotax are rated for and yes very reliable).. I would check the hull for any damages that is most likely the biggest reason why it was written off.. a few other things, don’t ever jump the battery it’ll damage the ECU, check the wear ring (if you suck up any rocks it’ll damage it and the spark won’t run) it is very easy to replace, but definitely check this and the bottom hull before you put it in the water. The middle red button is to to cycle through modes (hours, RPM, speed) and if you press it for 2 seconds (while in the water) then followed by a second press you will get into sport mode which will let you rev it a lot faster and whatnot. The top speed of the 90HP version is 50mph so if it’s not reaching that then you have a problem and will need to pull the top deck off (it’s not like a conventional jet ski where you have simple access to the engine bay by removing the seat), if you remove the seat on the spark it’ll only access the fire extinguisher. Also yours seems to have a comfort seat ($300 value!) right on guys, great deal and keep up the good work.
That sounds absolutely normal.
You can get some components for it to make it much more fun. This is the Spark, but they also have what's called a Spark Trixx.
It has a few extras and graphics. Foot pedals in the back and an extended Variable Trim System will allow you to do Wheelies on the water. They can all be added on as separate components that you buy and install yourself.
It likely was in an accident (the cracks) and the insurance company scrapped it.
Not sure if anyone said this yet but you want to flush out the system after each ride, when you do that you want to turn the seadoo on first then the water and let it run for 90-120 seconds. Afterwards you want to turn the water off then the seadoo so you do not flood the engine 👍🏻

I have a jet ski and it usually sounds metallic out of water, but you might wanna check your side fins looks like the one on the right was missing

A suggestion on repairing that cracked black trim piece. Since it is modular, just remove it and do the majority of the repair on the back side. Good luck.
Super Normal Sound. Besides the crack, it was a steal of a deal. That sound is no water lubrications for the propellers so it was basically clanking metal to metal.

I bought a Brand new Spark Trixx 2022 and mine makes that same rickety noise when you rev it, that’s just how those motors sound.

The metallic sound is normal, don’t worry. You can Rev it till 5K no problem on the water hose. But only let it run for 2 minutes on the trailer, els the carbon ring will wear out

There is a computer that will limit revs when new. There are lots of demo of oil change on line. Do not run See Doo long even with hose going to it. Something called Car on Seal will wear out if the hull is not in water.
The amount of 2 year old jet ski that are already trashed especially seadoo sparks is a lot. People don't take care of these and they ruin them. Glad you got one that looks pretty good and starts up.
Not that seadoo sparks are bad, it is just people don't do the maintenance on them.

It sounds abit rough on the rev. If it has gone up a gravel bank or something just check it hasn’t sucked up any rocks into the impeller.

Seadoo is a great my buddies have sparks they do have some problems but seadoo as a brand is overall perfect in my opinion the best and the sparks are sought after because of how easy they are defo did great on this
The Noise is perfect
If you don't know why this was returned and was cheap, then DON'T trust the gas that's in it. Especially since you are seeing so much mud. If may have been inverted or submerged and even though the gas tank is a sealed system, water can still get in there through the filler tube when inverted.
Also - get a heat welder from Harbor Freight to fix that crack - its super easy to do. There's too much stress there for JB Weld. The side panels are not available individually, the replacement would be the entire top deck. It's a LOT of work to replace a top deck because of everything you have to swap over.
Yes, you got a good JetSki that’s one of the best for beginner get jet jet skis you can get really strong but the engine sounds a little rattled
I wonder if you can take that cracked piece off and in Weld the inside and the. Then Wrap bother of them to make it look new.

It sounds ok, the middle button is for sport mode, you just hold it for 3 seconds and sport mode will be active

The way its sounds, you might want to jack it up to about four feet, and then put a new JetSki underneath it. That should do the trick.
I was 11k in with 3 year of service for fully loaded. Mine dosent take a special key and it has everything 3up spark trixx 2023 with sound system
Sounds perfect but you gave me a heart attack when you turned it off before the water can’t stress that enough you will flood the motor if you turn off the water after the Seadoo
I respect going for an option you can enjoy to its fullest potential instead of buying the fastest one you can find. Can always go to JP racing later on and have them give it the juice.

If you go to the sea Doo dealer they sell a maintenance kit like oil filter and spark plugs would be a good thing to do before it goes in the water. Also change out the plastic piece don’t job weld it you don’t want water getting in there
It looks like it was in a flood like an actual saltwater flood or hurricane but it sounds perfectly normal and the way those things are sealed up you're good you just may need to fix some external Parts everything else looks and sounds good
I would have worried that it would have been sunk and hydro locked...could have been a nightmare super fast...I would do all the maintenance next...

First 50 hours on spark you don’t have his full power. Is from factory the limit on first 50 hours. After that you will be happy with all 90HP of it
