- We are going over the steps to program the HomeLink built-in garage door opener for a 2021 Mustang GT Premium, no tools required.
1. Step 1 (Switch the Ignition On) - 0:05
2. Step 2 (Press 1 of 3 Buttons) - 0:11
3. Step 3 (Press & Hold Garage Door Opener Button) - 0:16
4. Step 4 (Press & Hold Button from Step 2) - 0:21
5. Clearing Code Step (Press & Hold (2) Outer Buttons) - 0:49

Been watching everything to find out how to do this directly. Because of this vid, I learned you have to use the OEM remote. A 3rd party clicker won’t work. Many thanks!

I did a test with my aftermarket (Amazon) remote, and it was able to program the Mustang Garage Door Opener.
@@mcgurrentertainment maybe there’s one more step for older openers or something? It is not working no matter what I do

My 3rd party Amazon click would NOT work. Had to use the one that came with the door!

So when your remote is stolen from your car. I guess you're screwed. Got any other ideas? like how to use the Liftmaster garage door control buttons?
Yes. There should be another method in the manual that allows you to use the Liftmaster to program.
I like how this is NOT what the actual Ford Manual says, but this works and the OEM Instructions don't.

Why doesnt this work? As soon as i press the mustang garage opener the light blinks then disappears
Did you try clearing the codes and starting again?
@@mcgurrentertainment yes I did the reset thing when you hold the two buttons for 10 seconds and it cleared. I keep trying it and it just doesn't do anything once I do the steps nothing happens
It's difficult to say. Could be the type of garage door you have, could be a faulty opener.
Door-han garage key doesn't work this way. Any suggestions?
You can try programming it directly from the Garage Door Motor.

If you do not have a remote clicker will the button on the garage door motor work?
Great question. Yes, there is a second method to program the Mustang garage door opener. You will press the "Learn" button on your garage door opener motor. Then, press and hold one of the three HomeLink function buttons for 2 seconds.
