    that is the cycle! Vicious. Once you realize why you drink alcohol, then it gives you an idea why you should quit. I like drinking alcohol because I like getting drunk. I never like having just one beer and calling it a night. To me, I would rather have zero alcohol than one beer. So why would I fight myself just to drink a couple of beers or try to. That’s when I realize I just had to quit, and now four years sober and I’ve never been happier!

    • @patrickjulius7352
      @patrickjulius7352 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      I seem to notice this too. I don't necessarily want to get drunk but I don't want 1 either. I want 3-5 and then I want it more frequently. I've noticed energy required to moderate alcohol quantities on any given night and then to also moderate frequency (just one day a wk, just on weekends, etc.) is more energy than when I've just been abstinent and remove it as an option.

    The hangover from hell!! That’s what made me quit and stay sober. I had a devastating relationship with alcohol and i know that after 33yrs sober I have absolutely won. I had alcohol poisoning that last time, and I know deep in my heart I will NEVER drink again. Why? Because I know it would kill me. The end!!

    Great video Leon, I am a month without putting that poison in my mouth, I haven't been WATCHING your videos, I been STUDYING it🤫🙃.
    Tonight is also a big soccer match between Portugal vs France in the Euro 2024.
    Normally I will chill by myself on a cold day and have poison to drink to enjoy the game.
    But screw that, I can enjoy watching the game without drinking poison.
    All thanks to your videos, my mindset has shifted.
    When I have extra cash, I want to learn more and get deeper into first principal thinking and just learn.
    I NEVER ever thought, It would be so easy for me to quit alcohol aka poison.
    Thank you again Leon, you deserve way more subs❤❤❤...

      Just do not drink no matter what happens. I can Promise you, as people promised me, that one day the obsession will be gone, and you won't know when that happened, One day, I was like"I haven't thought of Alcohol, and I have no idea what date and time that happened..When I quit, I was so bad, I had tell myself "I am not going to drink for the next 5 minutes" And then I am not going to drink for the next hour, and then I will not drink today, maybe tomorrow, and tomorrow reset the 24 hour clock. Trust me, Do not drink,. And he's right,, you need to do it for yourself. I am sober 13 years.

I stopped drinking five months ago and it's been easier than I thought, you're so right. You just have to change your mindset and make the decision. Hey, congs and proud of you and everyone who has had managed to quit alcohol even if I don’t know you. I’ve been trying to quit on and off since January and it has been a struggle. I have tried practically everything I can. Gym, therapy, church, whatever I can think of but every month or two I drink for one night and drink heavily then go back to quitting. I feel like I don’t have the strength and I’m losing the battle. I don’t drink everyday, I don’t even like it but when I do I do it heavily. I regret the day I first tasted alcohol and wish I could turn back time. It has damaged the relationship I have with the love of my life, it has damaged how my mother sees me because my father was a heavy abuser of alcohol. I have tried but failed. I feel alone in this battle and just want to find a way to stop. Please advise how you managed because I feel helpless
