I’m 63 years old and I’ve been drinking since 15 years of age. I hide it the best I can, I’ve been heavily drinking vodka for the last 15 years. I stop on the was home from work and pick up 8 minis . That keeps me in check. If I buy a big bottle, I will drink all of. I hold down a job. I have been 10 days sober now and it is very hard but I’m trying
secret #2. to stop using negative terms to define who you are is so incredible. i believe its prolly good to do at first, to admit you have a problem and youre addicted. but then you dont need to continue saying it, especially if youre getting better. we manifest ourselves so often without even thinking it by saying things like that. you can speak something into existence. good or bad.
heavy drinker here. I am just two days in, lol, so things can go south quickly. But I will say that 2 days in and I feel better already, full of energy I do love cold lemon water, it is a big help so far and good for the liver
I was 2days of it as well now im 6months hasn’t been easy with me it’s 1 or 2 bottles of vodka with cans per day cure first thing in morning day in day out but being 6months dry gives me hope so hang in there and keep trying no matter what 💪🇮🇪☘️🇬🇧💪
It's never too late! I have gone back to it so many times.. but you just got to keep stopping! Every time you stop you got to keep reinforcing why you're not going to do it anymore. Life is much better without alcohol! Everyone knows it takes a little bit of time maybe a few months to get new routines and new habits formed.. but you probably done it before you can do it again!
I can attest to the truth that deliverance from the chains of alcohol has changed me as a person. I was a slave, a prisoner in chains. But today I'm free!! Life is better today than it was 3 years ago.
SOOOO DAMN TRUEEEE THE WHOLE VIDEO!! THANK YOU ALOT LEON! STILL WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS AFTER A YEAR LATER NOW. KEEP DOING THESE VIDEOS! YOUR VIDEOS HELPED ME ALOT LAST YEAR IN 2023. NOW IM STILL SOBER ALMOST 1,5 year 💪🏽😄 ya’ll keep pushing with sober life it is really the best thing🫶🏽
Knowing why u drank in the first place is 100 percent of succeeding. I used to drink 30 years ago was to numb emotional pain I had not addressed. Childhood trauma.
So danm right! You have a problem if you identify you being an alcoholic! Never say that say the opposite! I’m sober …though i was sober for many years… I unfortunately drank again but now i decided to cut it back out again because i can feel how toxic it actually is to my body and overall health!
Once I realized that I was drinking to lower my iq to enjoy mundane things - I instantly never wanted to drink again. 2.5 months and I've barely had a craving. Once you break free of your alcohol jailer, you can enjoy things just as much sober as drunk. Also, the hangover nonsense that i had to deal with on a regular basis. That was number 2 for me that needed to end. It all just logically clicked one day and my pull was gone just like that. Lastly and I have to agree - drinking adds NO value or increased experience. You are merely damaging your life to enjoy boring people and boring things. It's no way to live
Thanks for the content. Wish I had found your channel earlier. Iv been struggling with alcohol for the past four years ever since I moved out from home and got a job as a chef. The past three days I have been watching your videos and it's the first three days in four years I haven't had a drink!
I tried AA and it was not a fit much for the same reasons you cite here. in addition, some AA members did not keep meetings confidential and that pretty much killed it for me. No knock against folk that it works for. So I'm back on the path of sobriety and have done it on my own. This and other videos have been sooo very helpful!
@@danilecashin4126 it's folk reliving hurts but there was nothing therapeutic about it. Bui again, that was my personal experience at a specific chapter of AA. There is value in being among like minded people.
If you're advanced drinker. Dont stop cold turkey. It can be deadly. Doctors say gradually reduce drinking and then quit. My dad was. Psychiatrist and doctor he said the same. However if you aren't advanced drinker. You can go straight to cold turkey.
I recently found out that non-alcoholic beer can actually be a good tool. I used to think it was kind of a dumb product, but now, if I have one or two on a day when I'm tempted to drink, it takes the temptation away.
You were experiencing withdrawal Depending on how long and how much you Drank, it could lead to what they call d.T Delirium. Trimmed, if your hands starts shaking, you could have a seizure which could possibly kill you. So it's not wise to try to detox at home by yourself. So, yes, what the man told you about getting to a hospital would probably be. Why is this choice course? That was 6 days ago, so you should be in the clear by now. Hopefully, if you got Help unless your body was not that dependent on alcohol. Trust me, God damn itrust me. I've been an alcoholic for. I've currently been sober for 2 and a 1/2 months. Good luck to you.
I just got out of detox and my body is all itchy, does anyone know when that goes away. First day out of detox after my last round of pills I slept for 12 hours. Now I’m on day 5, I’ve been drinking since 13 now I’m 33 and I was drinking beers and vodka for the past 4 years everyday.
I am a binge drinker, I like relaxing with a beer or 12 !!! Spend too much money and living a boring life !!! I don't smoke or do drugs, so I drink !!! A habit !!!!
Exactly what i did between whole year of 2022 till 2023 march. So for 1 year and couple of months i needed it after work so i drank 3-4 beers but now i am sober for the same time of period like when i drank and it feels so much better. Like life it pretty the same and everything but still you dont fuck your head and emotions and dont get hangover every morning and tired af and most beatiful you live life and you feel it! ❤️
dang, thats a long ad. drinking is a habit. just change your lifestyle by doing other habits and get rid of this habit. I drank for decades and I do it for companionship and its a bad habit. Incorporate other habits and get rid of the drinking habit. Im happy to read, walk, bike, gym, research better diet. dont need a guy to tell ya how to live. Just do it, but only if you want to.
I'd disagree in as much alcohol does give you something , that initial buzz of having a beer in the hot sun . Can give u a good temporary high , but that comes with alot of negatives afterwards . Not worth loosing brain volume for that's for sure !!

There is pros and cons with AA. Its a good program but there is way to much negative self talk

Check in with a doctor. If you drink everyday, you may need to talk to a professional about seceeding
alcohol kills neurons, your memory your self steem and your mojo too
I used to drink to be creative, it was really an scape.
