    This session really helped as I heard Little as the voice of reason saying "You are overfolding" when facing a decision for all my chips with pocket 2s in the BB with 12 BBs against a shove from the SB on the bubble. I called, hit a set and went on to get 2nd in the tourney!

      fair play, did he have a better pair and you sucked out with a set, or was it like Ax + ? reason why is dont be result orientated

      Nice...did the same thing when I got J 4 suited. At our home games this is known as the "Robie" and damn if he doesn't hit it more often than not! Was sitting there with 3.5 bigs left and same thing, that little voice said YOLO!! Hit the spade flush on the river and everyone at the table called my all in, went on to get 5th out of 74 players and tripled my $$.

    Just got the intro membership to get the app and some content. Will consider the pay membership if I can start playing more often and more profitably... the material on defending BB and framework for flop play already I think helped me substantially...

    i struggle with the push/fold strats... im willing to study post-flop, i think the 2-2.5x raises are appropriate here :)

    Jonathan can you provide the pokercoaching app content for PC please? I use your floattheturn push/fold charts but would like the GTO min raise additions too. Thanks.

    How much do you adjust your utg shove range with an 8-10bb stack and a bb ante format? Shouldn't we be shoving a tad wider since the bb ante will greatly reduce our fold equity on future hands?

    I played some GGPoker All-In-or-Fold and I figure the combination of rake and variance makes things difficult. The Jam% HUD gives a pretty good idea of how people are playing but I find most people seem to be using something like these charts - enough that there isn't that much of an edge available unless you find a good table.

    Hello. Your content is great. I'm starting playing MTTs semiprofessionaly and I'm loving your channel. Hopefully I will be able to enroll to p'okercoaching in the near future. Question: If I make a min raise with this strategy, should I be using it based on eff stack sizes? For example, I opr 15bb eff, someone with a 40bb stack on the BTN goes all in, I just can take the action on the charts right? Of course I will take into consideration all other factors, but in general this is how it works right? Tank you for the great content. I wish you the best!!! You have one more Mexican fan :D

    • @PokerCoaching
      @PokerCoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Assuming the 40bb stack is not pushing into people who have 40bbs before the action gets to you, then you are playing 15bb effective, so you can use the charts.

    your content is great, thank you. I concur, post-flop strategy is crucial. I find these charts to be intuitive; nonetheless, helpful to hear someone else articulate. do you have any content pertaining to big stack "chip leader" strategy in poker tournaments--specifically, how to mentally adapt to losing your lead and prevent going on tilt after the leaderboard changes. As I type, I continue to play premium hands fairly well but find myself losing several large pots to aggressive players either at showdown or an all-in bet on the river that I reluctantly end up folding (mainly out of fear of degrading my stack any further).
    Additional context: I am a "conservative" player and devote attention to the odds (and in some cases the reversed implied thereof) and the hand history, mainly. Historically, once I gain a substantial chip lead, I am able to maintain and continuously build it for quite some time. I fold a lot but play hands that should be played accordant with my position HOWEVER, the moment I lose the the "Chip Leader" position (e.g. tonight, I had 531,000 ((331 BBs)) to the second place of 211,000 ((131 BBs))-then about 50-60 hands later--12 players left--, it's like the weather completely changed and dooms day was upon my phone. Opponents began gambling (emphasis on gambling) it was hard to put them on a hand, let alone a range of hands. Action like raising all in to my justified and well wagered continuation bet. Are they capitalizing on my uncertainty and picking up on the devolution of my stack? I'm now in 6th place and it seems I am 1. completely deviating from my normal strategy and play 2. losing (donating) chips every hand 3. growing increasingly nervous that I will get knocked out. (updated I've been knocked out) Essentially, the moment someone takes chip lead after I've played hours of seemingly flawless poker. Anything you might suggest for avoiding somehow becoming the world's most awful player at this stage would be appreciated. The demotion-to-2nd-place-tilt is something I woefully cannot seem to grasp nor overcome. This is an SOS,
    Thank you for all your contributions to the development of my play strategy thus far. It's appreciated.

      You have to get concepts like "chip leader" out of your mind because they are irrelevant. Having lots of chips just lets you lose more pots before going broke compared to your opponents. Essentially, stop worrying about things that don't matter. It is really easy to lose three hands in a row.

    If you all in on the button with 15BB without your strongest hands isn't this exploitable? Since they know your range is capped

    Las night almost in the bubble after two days playing I went all in with JJ in big blind with an UTG raise and a call form the small blind..UTG went all in and small blind fold. I knew I was in bad position. He had KK. I think I should have called and see the flop and then fold..I wanted to be in prizes 😞. It was a lot of effort two days playing
