Great tip Tanelle. And glad your getting time in such a beautiful place....you def deserve it. Hey how about some tips on navigating the gym, getting on / off equipment etc. ❤️
I don't take any anti-spasm medication. They spasms every day, most of the time between transferring. And when I am not so busy doing life I will put e-stim on them (but that hasn't happened for years). Oh! and I stand as much as I can with braces or in a standing frame or with the Paragolfer
James Ortiz You’re quite mistaken... I’m not aiming to stir the pot here, at all. Let her chime in and tell you so or watch her other videos. She has no core at all, no abdominal or back function.
She's injured at T6 and is likely "chest down" I'd guess she can feel most of her breast but the lowest part of them may be hypersensitive or lack feeling at all.
That's pretty much all arms and shoulders. She makes it look way easier than it is because she's strong and has kept her weight in check. A person with the use of their legs cannot really comprehend how much your balance is screwed up while trying to do something like this.
The hat is from Backcountry Brewing in Nelson BC ;) They were sponsors of this past July's adaptive trek from Revelstoke to Nelson (me and another adaptive athlete did the 250kms by kayak and hand cycle). Hawaii is more accessible in some ways (because they are supposed to follow ADA) and really not in others (because of heritage status of buildings and communities). Better in some ways and worse in others I suppose.
Love your spirit and do anything attitude, you remind me of a young me! Curious, were you fitted for the chair your in? Reason I ask is it looks a bit big for you. I know the lighter titanium chairs are super expensive but as active as you are a TA light may be the way to go! I’m in Atlanta and have some decent contacts, not to mention my wife is a rehab case manager with awesome connections. Let me know if you would like some input, ok if not. Keep up the great work, rooting for you from the Deep South
You can stay on the beach to tan in a bikini, while here in winter .... I'm officially envious! 😤😂 A series of videos on how to adapt to accessible and inaccessible beaches and sea (reaching the beach, swimming, etc.)? Keep it up girl! 💪🏻😉
Beautiful transmission. ..And a beautiful place too
I just love how you share your personal challenges and knowledge so everyone can learn from you thank you so much.
No sweat! I'm living it anyways. Might as well share :)

Good core and long strong arms.
James Ortiz No core, at all I’m pretty sure...
@@rackemwells if no core she wouldn't be able to sit up in the chair.
