- Moonstomping is a very new Glitch that allows players to create Stretched Thwomps, to teleport any Item to the Player and more.

How far away does the moon need to be for the door setup?
At 2:18 you can see the exact setup
How do you get the moon in the day? I've tried it with the black hole glitch (now that I got it working) but the moon/sun always stayed part of the theme
@@abrasmage put the sun in the black hole, change to night and undo. That's what I remember
Change to night, not to day. The rest is right 👌
I love how you were using the moon during the day themes as if it was just a normal part of the game

I would like to note that some people may not understand your explanation of the glitch. I would highly recommend watching the Retro Game Mechanics Explained video about the cloud/orb in the original SMW, because it's very similar.

Yeah, that's what I was guessing, since most glitches are initially discovered by accident and then more things about them are discovered from there.
I can't imagine anybody actually trying to find such a glitch and succeeding

Okay, at this point Super Mario Maker 2 is just an absolute glitchfest. Literally, we now have sprite slot glitches. What is this? Super Mario World? Super Mario 64? What's next? A glitch that lets us mod the game at free will that is super easy to pull off? Arbitrary Code Execution that is also easy to pull off and doesn't require any complex code manipulation, unlike Super Mario World? We're literally glitching up sprite slots by having other sprites load over the air sprite, thanks to the moon! This isn't Super Mario Maker 2. This is Super Mario World Maker - Now with 200% more glitches. It just feels more like 0.1.0 than 1.0.1.

I made a Black Hole, put the sun in it, made it night, then undid.
It's just for aesthetical reasons :)
How to prank your friend
Create/open a setup to teleport a p-switch, make sure that mario gets stuck in a 2-wide space at the end
Save the level
Close and open mario maker 2
Teleport the p-switch
Give the console to your friend
If they try to do absolutely anything, the game crashes

It works in SMB3 and SMB, but not in SMW or NSMBU, since there need to be boots.
