You did a job that was worth the price. Color ,care and design of paint and wood were so thoughtful to retain the integrity of the piece. Stay safe, each of you.

@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture I didn’t hear you say and wasn’t aware Sherwin Williams had chalk paint. Which is good to know, because chalk paint is what I use as well. Thanks for the reply!
Can't wait until next week. I have 2 bedrooms of that exact same French Provincial, and original hardware. I haven't figured out what to do with it, I was just going to paint it all white, it has yellowed and the "gold" detail is scary. Do you know if the rustoleum white oil based paint turns yellow? It says it won't but I thought all oilbased paint does, could be a special formula? I did not find you in time! I did not know about latex covered with a clear topcoat was durable and I thought it would be junky looking, I was wrong.
Not sure on the rustoleum product. Haven’t used it. I did however have to peel off 2 layers of latex paint on next weeks flip. That was awful. I did a very detailed sanding job to make sure the chalk paint would adhere and I used a VERY bright color that shows everything so it had to be perfect. Wanted to leave it on the street a few times 😂.
Ah! Darn I forgot the footage! Must have been too excited about the end result. Yes top coated in our usual Spar Urethane by Minwax. thanks for watching!
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture OK, maybe pin a comment? I know that top coat is your Modus Operandi, so thought you had some reason. Hey, no big deal. I cannot remember how much I forgot yesterday. Have you tried to use the wax over your topcoat? I think it gives it that hand rubbed finish. Almost like instead of a chrome shine, it is like a silver sheen. Sorry more advice from your know-it-all fan! This color is tonally closer to the wood and doesn't contrast as much, I really like the effect, which I thought I would not. Tampa, FL
Looking at this wood, I would not think it needed sealed for bleed through, but you never know. So, it wasn't a "told you so moment", men don't mind being proven wrong. NOT like women do! I am sure your husband admitted he was wrong. It would have fooled me. You two make a great team, congrats on the profit. Then again the buyer got a good deal as well. YOU have to admit that your husband will NOT do shoddy work and it is VERY noticeable, not something to be ashamed of, in the end this will only improve your brand.
I said when we unloaded it the top will need to be primed just in case I just had this feeling about it and you cant really see it in the video but as soon as the paint hit those spots… BOOM there was the bleed thru. Oh well. Quick fix. Oh no he didn’t mind. He knows it a rarity for him to mess anything up. It’s usually me!! Lol have a blessed day!

Nope no color to it! Just a sealer. Thanks for watching!
