I think this is what the breakdown means for anyone else curious:
Beans - feeling of acceleration/speed
Cookie - value for money
Wrench - ease of maintenance
Squid - feeling of handling
Penguin - how much Sarah personally likes the car
Yep that's exactly it 😎
They make much more sense seeing them written out
Beans = vroom vroom
Cookie = value and number of the sweet chocolate features
Wrench = how easy it is to recover your 10mm
Squid = how it handles on tentacle roads.
Penguin = how likely a penguin would steal Sarah’s CC and buy one.
A 15mm maybe, 10mm go to the land of socks and pens.
About 2k miles into ownership, I can't argue with your thoughts. Simply having a 3-pedal 6-speed is worth it over almost everything else. This is refined just enough to feel 'grown up', but quick and sporty enough to keep on-ramps and backroads fun. I appreciate the honest and thorough reviews. 0-60 isn't going to beat many, but the 2nd and 3rd gear pulls are a blast around town.
I'm closing on 4K. Could not agree more! Gearing is not ideal for 0-60 but 2nd and 3rd gear pulls are absolutely a blast. Quick handling on twisty roads is a hoot!
I got my 6 speed 2 months ago and it’s sitting with 9,000 miles on it. Thank you for validating my very expensive decision.
If you're down here looking for an explanation of Sarah's ratings... keep looking. 🤣
The 2 comments above yours was the explanation for me
I’ve had two Acuras, they are such great cars.
Wow, max torque at 1800 rpm is nice. The hatchback is my preference as well. Glad you made the scoring system the same on both channels. A thorough review without getting too spec nerdy. St Patrick Day nails look nice.
I would rather know the 0-60 time and braking distance than sway bar diameters and how cute the dipstick is.

Enjoyed your comment ! Many folks don't understand common sense.
BUT . . . am curious how you compare an electric motor to an internal combustion engine . . . . which makes more sense ? ?
AND for stress & tension relief after a difficult day I recommend Angelina Jordan from 2014 Norway's Got Talent , the winner at 8 years old with only four songs .

Dang now I'm going to have to back and watch the video again just to see her finger nails lol
Great reivew Sarah! I've got that same model-in blue. I love it I get 35 MPG with some spirited driving-mixed city/freeway. When I get into slow and go traffic (Cal Bay Area) I'm able to shfit far less often than I did in my 2009 5 speed Civic. I'm amazed that I can drive at 5 mph in 2nd without lugging. Saves clutch wear. Handling is amazing. Twisty back roads are fun.
I always get a chuckle from the random shit Sarah says lol.
My neighbor just bought a brand new one . Pearl white outside . Gorgeous RED 😃 interior . Stick shift too. 😎
Def one of my fav cars as of late, especially with recent trends heading towards soulless electrification
9:26 Heat forged and crack separated connecting rods means that the rods and caps were forged from a single piece metal blank that was heated up, placed in a die, then squeezed under high pressure to take the desired shape. The big end of the rod is then cracked in half to form the cap. This gives a rod and cap that when bolted together gives a microscopically smooth connection between the two pieces that is much more seamless than you could get from fitting together two machined parts. This in turn means less friction between the connecting rod and the crankshaft, but also means that each rod and cap are a matched set and have to be installed together, so extra care is needed to ensure they don't get separated when working on the engine.
SO much simpler than an electric motor which has two parts . . . .
. . . . . a 'Rotor' and a 'Stator' . Of course this advanced technique may be used in forming sophisticated parts in an electric motor . . . . ? ?
Very interesting. Thank you for the detailed explanation.
Your reviews have quickly become my favourite
Bot my first one used with 6K miles, drove it until 9K. Got rear end totaled - got the 2024. Swear it's more responsive, sound systems better, what a fun car.
Waiting for 2024 Integra Type S. Should be revealed this month, launched this summer. Confirmed 320 horsepower, 310 lb.-ft. of torque. Hope you'll choose to go to its launch event, even though you were saying it's a huge waste of time. Review then. 👍
Another great review, Sarah! Watch both your channels regularly and they are my faves on The Tube. Your nerdiness, humour, and borderline OCD 😊are absolute FIRE. Keep up the awesome content but please make sure you always take time for yourself. 🖤
What a great surprise… an unexpected Sarah review to start out April! I really like the ass end of that Integra. Very clean and rich looking. If Honda/Acura has one area they’ve always struggled with compared to the competition, it has been cabin road noise, and it’s a mystery why. Anyway, it is always a kick to see you handle a manual transmission and the joy it puts on your face. Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Luv the video, watching several times. I so much want this car. Thank you
Love your enthusiasm for manual transmissions.
My local Acura dealership,McGrath Acura in Libertyville Illinois, has about 20 of these on the lot.
They're not exactly flying off the lot.Although every singly one of them is a CVTlol.
CVT shocking
CVT! NOPE
Great car. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!
Bought my integra a few weeks ago an absolutely love it! Great review on this car!
I just bought one of those and I love it and everything about this video
Looking forward to this assessment. Thank you 😊
Speaking of eggs. In a microwaveable bowl crack an egg, add water til the egg is covered by an inch of water. Microwave for 45 seconds and viola! A perfect poached egg in less time than it takes to toast your bread. Edit: cover the bowl ....just in case 😂
Love the emoji following " ....just in case" ! ! ! Gonna guess that cracking the egg does not insure the membrane inside is 'compromised' = a small 'splosian may occur when the membrane finally succumbs to the heat . . . . . . . .
I enjoy eggs for taste & nutritional value = thanks ! ! ! take care, rh
Ok I think your braking test alone convinced me to buy this lol. I was hesitant to buy cause it’s FWD and living in the PNW, AWD would be ideal. But I think I will survive driving in this.
My wife says the front passenger seat looks like a Thriller jacket lol.
The VTEC on the exhaust side is used to help spool the turbo faster and they don't need VTEC on the intake side since the turbo pushes the air into the engine. There is a slight overboost likely on the Acura to make up the extra weight over the SI.
Hi Sarah, Thanks for the in depth reviews. Its been sometime since you've uploaded new videos, hope you and your team are doing fine.
I bet the plastic covering reflects more noise back into the cabin area than the hair carpet which it why you see it underneath. (Which you state later in the video. 😑😄😇)
Great braking in the rain!
I don't mind the hood prop. It's old-school.
Honda enthusiasts are a funny bunch.
Sarah put together a calendar? I’d buy it
Sarah, you could do with some Timing gear! gives you accurate acceleration times and braking distances.
IMHO it might be a viable alternative to a compact SUV - it's as practical, but more agile, and also available with a manual. What SUV-s nowadays offer a manual as an option? - None, I think.
Just got the 2022 SI and the reason I got it over the Integra was because it did not have the adaptive suspension. It’s like a $1000 per strut. So I can understand why they left certain features off the SI and put them in the Integra. But I wish it had an SI+ mode where you got some more gauges like oil and coolant temperature, it already has a boost and g gauges.
for as much as they are charging for the Si in houston it made more sense to get to the integra for me. As far as the strut im not sure about that price but i dont think i would be worried about that for awhile.
Integra is a si plus.
@@beeboodu1 I got it for MSRP in NY so it was worth it. It was sitting on the showroom floor for 6 months, probably because nobody wanted to pay the mark up. I got it as a leftover because the 2023 were coming in.
@@jesters16 wtf where in NY, every dealer here ive contacted wants over msrp for even Used 11th gen Si
btw the canadian model has the adpative suspension
7:37 I actually think that was on purpose to give the old school feel of the previous gen.
Love the leather interior and the color choice
Your intellectual analysis is always fun, humorous and informative! Great second channel! Love my Honda Ridgeline and the review you did on it confirmed for us to purchase one! What an intelligent automotive manufacturer. And as always, you look very........ smart!
8:23 wouldn't be shocked if that's the case. This supposedly only has 22 more HP compared to my late Camry, yet it feels like a rocket compared to that car.
Great review of a great car!
Love this girls style. Great stuff.
I like the coin heater. 😉😁
Mine doesn't has that. 😂🤣
Very great video thank you🚋🛸🚘🚁
Just wait mate I’m just getting my coffee 🇦🇺👍🤗😀
You're too young to know the 1992 movie _"My cousin Vinny"_
Watching your videos, you remind me of the character _"Lisa"_ in that movie.
Beautiful character with knowledge about cars 😉
I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me,the way the LED daytime running lights was reflecting off your cool pants, thought I was high or something 😅
When you said "200 horsepower my ass" I had to rewind to make sure I'd heard it right. 😀
D'oh!
Maybe they sent out souped-up cars with the twin spool turbos to reviewers thinking they wouldn't check what was actually installed.
Frijoles!! It's basically a sport touring civic hatchback
Nothing like the throaty exhaust sound while 'giving it the beans' to let you know your driving last century's technology . . . . . . . . . .

3:45 You CAN get A-Spec with Tech and a CVT. Just saying.
My two local Acura dealers are full of Integra’s. I test drove one last year and they had a $3-5K markup on them. I guess people figured out that the Civic Touring is a whole cheaper and pretty much the same car. This car is a watered down ILX.
Dealer markup is pushing away the intelligent customers. We need more people refusing to pay mark ups to fix that problem.
I like that Acura got it right and that the CVT is only available on the lower trim specs of the Integra, unlike Subaru where you can only get the upgraded trim if you go with the CVT 🤣
The CVT is available on literally every trim except the Type S.
Sarah, would you choose this over the MK8 GTI? Thanks for the review!
Why does it sound better than my new Type R?
The new Integra Type-S is going to sound even better!
@@GiveItTheBeans Looking forward to the hairy cardboard comparison video. Expecting it to be a 10 full penguins review.
@@GiveItTheBeans Wayyyyyy better. It (The Integra Type S) sounds way louder and more raspy than the FL5 Civic Type R.
Hi,
Where are you from? Thanks!
I love the New Acura Integra can’t wait for thr Type S and you look very beautiful And Gorgeous Sarah
Excellent video Sarah 👍😉
It is nice that Acura is making nice looking cars again!
Love to see you do a test of the Ineos Grenadier.
Also really looking forward to a review from you on the Type S...
60 mm = 2.36 inches. Love your reviews!
I can't wait for the reveal of the Acura Integra Type S, next Thursday on April 13th, a day early before the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, or Friday, April 14th, the day of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
The Acura Integra Type S is definitely going to be the one to get for sure. It's going to be far more readily available of the FL5 Civic Type R, and it should be just as fun as the FL5 Civic Type R if not better than the Civic Type R as the ultimate street performance driver's car.
I have a 2021 acura tlx sh-awd. Please do a review ❤
Great test, sarah !!..as always🤩
Okay, I'm finally over my cranky "not like the old Integra" moment. Given the exterior design is refined to the point of extreme vanilla, the biggest selling point for me was the interior, but then again I'm old as dirt.
Same!!! What happened to the Integra of old ?! 😫
@betteheadbettehead4800 It's gone and never comeback. This is the Integra of the new and what we see is what we get. The coupe was not the only body style people. They had a 5-door lift back in all 3 of its generations and a 4-door sedan in the 2nd and 3rd generation. The old Integras, as well as the RSX, were not that fast either back in the day. Times have changed, but the chassis underpinnings from the Civic is what the Integra always was in all of its body styles, and this is no different.
The old Japanese-spec DB8 Honda Integra Type R sedan from 1995-1997 was only 195hp, the global DC2 Acura Integra Type R coupe from 1998-2001 was only 197hp, and the DC5 Honda Integra Type R (Integra name in Japan) aka the DC5 Acura RSX Type S was only 210hp.
So here's the deal with the specs on this thing. Honda is TOTALLY sand bagging it-- and the Integra was tested separately by Hondata, and made a bit more power than the Si! It makes sense given the car is a touch heavier. I have no clue why Acura/Honda are marketing these specs incorrectly. It definitely does NOT have an MHI turbo, it has an IHI turbo... and it makes closer to 225hp which is a LOT more than 200! It's really puzzling because the under-rating is likely to hurt sales. Saying you only make 200hp gives Hyundai free license to say "the Elantra N-Line makes more than the Civic Si! WOW!" even though it absolutely does not.
As always, I freakin love your videos, Sarah. You're beautiful and funny and smart, and it's really nice to see more women in the car scene. Please never stop posting these vids.
What’s an mhi & a ihi? & what’s the difference if u don’t mind me asking
Not the first time a manufacturer has been sandbagging about an engine s output. Looks pretty nice, just the Civic for us UK folk though it looks similar with a rear hatch.
Came for the car. Stayed for Sarah
Yet another excellent review, packed full of really relevant info…..and some quirky comments, personally would go for the civic, more stripped down, but could be persuaded by the hatch, us Brits do love our “Hatch Backs”
You always have fun with the Hondas. 👍🏻
If I had to get a Civic, this is the one I’d choose. Simply because of it being a hatchback. 👏🏻🙂
They should’ve made a coupe the front and the rear would be awesome in a coupe. The interior to. I think they would’ve been fine. People would’ve bought it
Seems like a great car, although I do wish there was a way to get a stripped down version that didn't cost so much. Overall I like it
You mean like a Civic?
@@nah3193 Exactly...LOL
What is ALUMINIUM?
Great value. Great review.
Nice car and review, agreed an Acura should have hood struts, not a prop rod.
They crack the connecting rods that way because under the heavy pressure in the splitting process actually makes the 2 half’s of the rod supposedly stronger 🤓
watched from Bryan,Tx
Metric...it just makes more sense.
Nice review. Thanks Sarah.
If they want strength they should use pin fitted rods like on Japanese motorcycles. Mine starts floating valves at 12000 rpm.
What's the ride quality between the A spec & the Si like
I’m guessing that the integra probably has a better ride quality because it has adaptive dampers (can switch between softer and stiffer suspension) while the si has fixed dampers
Looks like you got a storm Sarah from a week ago we had out here in California..
Skunk2 is going to re-map that whole ECU soon! Where's my SH version?!
Any gas problems with all those beans?
I’m loving Cowgirl looking Sarah . Loving the Honda again to. JX
I'd like to see the Integra sharing a Cadillac CT5 platform.
@danielokpomeshine9532 there's something to say.
I like the Integra, I think they put smaller engine into this, than the older models. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Does the adaptive suspension matter if you were gonna upgrade to coil overs.
I just found out the worst flaw of the new acura integra and it's not the lack of rear vents or rear seat heat or 2L from type r
There's no HomeLink. Can you believe that? No idea what Acura was thinking leaving that out.
I just bought my ASpec Tech 6MT and that is one thing that drives me crazy about it -- especially since every other Acura model has it and the Civic Sport Touring hatchback has Homelink. I just say my standard refrain that I've been saying since I bought my new '81 Accord -- "Honda........"
"Cute car parts " that might be the first time I've heard this 😆 🤣
Thanks Sarah
😎🍺👍🇦🇺
Wow impressive pricing on this Acura.
NICE CAR
Do you got a video of the corolla Gr friend
What is your maintenance score? High or low. Asking for a friend.
A lift out in the middle of Texas 😂😂😂, 2 Honda/Acura in 2 days is great.
Is that the Civic chassis, I wonder. I don't know if you mentioned it.
Yes
Sarah thoughts on an Infiniti q50?
Of course a Toyota ad pops up as I'm watching this.
I had one of these, LOVED it at first. The seats began wearing, great…rattles which my beater don’t even have (2011 impala), sunroof leak, and then oil dilution. Threatened to take them to court, they bought it back. It was also slow, and ran on premium, so I didn’t even save on gas. Happy to be rid of it
I'll take things that never happened for $500, Alex.
10:42 do you add coolant into the plastics container?
No you need blinker fluid to add
