I LOVED my bright red 1988 DA Integra 1.6 16EX... ONLY car I've ever owned to regularly rev hard to the redline in top gear (approx 130Mph) even with the 17" Alloys I fitted, that PGM-F1 Crossflow head designed engine was superb! And those pop up headlights... Always a classic! Damn... I wish I still had it... 😕 😎🇬🇧

I bought the 6MT this last weekend. It was top of my listL Jackie McMillan summed it up about Honda longevity-I drove a 2009 Civic 5Speed Manual for the last 14 years-230K with my only repair being the clutch master and slave cylinders at 220K. I love the Integra! A real joy to drive. I'm breaking it in currently.

This looks like a really nice car. I spent many hours as a passenger in and learned to drive in my father's 1987 Acura Integra LS. That car made me fall in love with driving, lift backs, 5-doors, and Honda/Acura vehicles and directly lead me owning a 2019 FK8. Also this looks way better in the back than an 11th gen Civic hatch; I drove behind one of those the other day and that is not a rear end which I find attractive.

Yeah, bluntly Sarah, thats total bullshit, you ABSOLUTELY are one of the most well spoken automotive journalists on any media, easy equal of most of the UK and US Top Gear or Fifth Gear hosts. Don't let not having the qualification from a school of journalism define you, most people who graduate from those places end up working in advertising or public relations because they're not at the level of professionalism or dedication that you exemplify.

Another great video. Your hair never looked better! The first new car I bought after graduating from college was an '88 Integra. Loved that car and driving it. Wish they would make a 3-door hatch like I had. I don't want/need four doors and I find the liftbacks visually unappealing. Also, I'd prefer to see a little more power. The top model should get Civic R power.

I had a 2001 RSX with a manual transmission when it was so new there were only two RSXs on the lot. I’ve been told that the RSX was not as hardcore as the previous Integra. For me, it was pure fun to drive and to own. I would’ve loved a 3 door integra, but the practicality of a 5 door Integra is rhetorical.

    • @xlr8hard

      Rsx's were only from 2002-2006

    • @anthonytriana4209
      @anthonytriana4209 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@xlr8hard I bought my RSX in November of 2001. The Acura I bought was a 2002 model. Like I said, it was so new only two RSXes were at the new Acura lot. I test drove the previous model 3 years earlier and I’m sorry to say that I didn’t care for it. This second time I went because my Dad suggested it. I had a choice between a red RSX with leather interior and an automatic transmission or a light brown metallic RSX with cloth interior and a manual transmission. I chose the light brown metallic with manual transmission. The transmission was great and I never burned the clutch (more than 75k miles on the odometer). The interior proved to be beneficial because I live in Texas. I have never before and never again heard angels lightly sing or have I seen clouds part to expose sunshine on the car in question while car shopping. I joke about the angels, but the clouds parting was 100% true. The cars were locked tight and I was only allowed to SIT in the car if I was genuinely interested in purchasing the car. The car purchase procedure lasted all of two hours. I wish Acura/Honda made something like this again. It would be cool to see a viable competitor to the GT86/BRZ. I fully understand why they don’t, though. This is the first time I’ve thought about this in easily 15 years. Thank you that!

Excellent review, despite the lack of a lift in the middle of a wedding venue in Texas.
And there definitely should be a Type-S in 2-3 years from now. Current Civic platform already can accommodate a K20C 2.0L engine, the only question is which version of it they'll choose - 306hp K20C1 as in Civic Type R would be nice, but 272hp K20C6 as in TLX is fine too. Though, don't think they should put SH-AWD in it - it will make the car too heavy.
As for the exterior, the car looks amazing in a liftback body style - sleek and practical. This is a Honda I'd buy. Awesome! (As a side note, hope you'll get another cool liftback for a review - new Arteon, it now features updated 300hp EA888 engine).
P.S. I like your music preferences - Baba Yaga, Megadeth... Impeccable taste. 😉

I really like my new Integra. I did get the CVT because as much as I love a manual this car is mostly doing city driving and taking my children and their friends to and from school. The CVT is fine but the excitement factor is missing. Only other complaint is the darn rear camera is always dirty or foggy. Wish all cars did the VW logo cover for their rear cameras. Great review because, for one, many other reviews disparage the 23 Integra as an overpriced Civic Si, which is a superficial assessment and inaccurate.

Sarah, your washed-out black denim skirt fits the throw-back, late 80's era for your review...which I'm sure you wore on purpose.🤘

Hey Sarah - did you ever review/drive the 10th Gen Accord w/ Manual Transmission? How does this compare?

I haven’t commented since the Cadillac Blackwing ( didn’t have the time ) but watched all your Ford Ranger videos… great work 👍
I’m not a huge fan of imports, but for a ride with ya I’d make an exception ☺️

I test drove it on Wednesday. The interior is beautiful. The gauge cluster screen is kinda lackluster compared to rivals. The clutch was extremely light. Steering wasn't as responsive as I would have hoped, car felt kind of heavy. At this price point, (at least for the manual), the GTI is a much better option.

Civic is the benchmark and better than the GLI

@@rahimi4762 huh? the Civic Si doesn’t come close to the GTI. Less hp, torque, features. Cant even get heated seats on it.

@@rahimi4762 GTI , not GLI. The gti completely shames this car in every merrit of performance. The hondas with cvts and turbo motors have also had many problems

@@spathotan I dont even understand how anyone can chose a sports model version of a car and say 0-60 in 7.8 seconds 0-60 is okay . I get that isn't the main purpose of these cars but that is slower than my 2014 mazda 3 hatchback .

Very much agree, idle stop start is annoying.
Otherwise a great car to drive in summer conditions

Hey Sarah, I think that’s a great car for the money, agree a three door would be the way to go I’ve never owned a four-door car a truck but only this latest one try to get a 2 door 8 foot bed which was pretty much impossible in four-wheel-drive anyways great review as always I thought getting a lift would save your back turns out it saves your knees as well🙂 have a great one as always🐧🐧🐧👍
