That thing sounds damn good for just the front and down pipes installed. Honda and Acura really did something special with that looped exhaust system they created. Rear sway bar does heaps in terms of body control and rotation on these chassis’s. Highly recommend, but I imagine y’all already have something ordered or in mind :) Absolutely love this build!

Intercooler doesn’t lower the car temperature, it lowers the intake air making the car produce more power. That power actually makes the car run hotter. To reduce car temps, you must activate the radiator spring earlier and increase the cooling capacity with a better radiator.

I have the car and finally opened her up merging on the highway and the car is fast despite reviewers making comments that its lethargic but when you shift hard you can feel that jerk from the motor mount. That fact that it's a Simple process I'm going to make that my next mod after a tune

It looks terrible :/ I LOVE this channel and even gotten merch, but it looks terrible. They coulda gone with a sportier wheel. Just make it look different.
My concern after watching this is long term engine life. Some years ago I had a Saab 9-3 where the down pipe ran down and under the engine just like this. They had a notorious problem for sludging the engines due to the exhaust heat on the oil pan and 10k manufacture oil change intervals. Just food for thought, maybe it won't be an issue here. Great videos keep them coming.
Did all the PRL bolt ons for my 22 Si and my clutch started slipping. I couldn't source anything other than the action stage 1 (20S) and it's rated for FBO +e85. I'm tuning with phearable and we just finished with pump gas so it's finally time for the E30 tune 🌽. So far the clutch has held up well, slightly stiffer than factory but not much and I actually find it easier with more resistance to shift smooth. Nice build hope to see more!
I guess I should have waited until the end. Seems like a big improvement from the factory after bolt ons with the acceleration. Man. I'm all too familiar with transmission & motor mounts. I had all replaced for over 800.00 including labor. Definitely improves your ride quality and protects your engine and transmission from moving a lot, which well cause problems down the line if it isn't fixed

@@shibaspeed All Type-S models including the MDX and TLX are not meant to be limited. Due to part shortages, it affects the total production numbers. That’s on most manufacturers. Yet CTR is a limited production model, on the FK8, aside from the LE, I believe 6000 production units per year

No one wanted to do it, but I’m helping a person gut their stock OEM downpipe/header on their brand new Acura Integra A-spec. We did this to a Honda CTR (USDM) and 10th gen Civic Si downpipe, and it unleashed ridiculously more power than a full catless setup combined. We even ported the inlet and outlet to the gutted downpipe/header. It does need to be tuned, especially when you run FBO, because of the massive empty chamber that is left when you bash out the huge catalysts.
@@ahcgarage It sure is.... We will probably eventually get another one from a salvage yard in the next 5-6 years. One will eventually come up. It's probably best to note that this DIY hackjob technique be done in a EMISSIONS-FREE TESTING ZONE. lol Another person somewhere else on FB suggested to just either gut the topmost pre-cat and to leave the bottom cat (2nd cat) alone. I haven't checked thoroughly, but I'm assuming with these big of catalytic converters, there might not be a 3rd/addition downstream cat (usually only used on V6 engine models).

A couple of years late to this video, but I wanted to point out something on the stock exhaust that the new one is missing. That metal mesh over the convolutes is there to protect them from damage. Convolutes (Bellows) are very fragile, being only ~.006" thick per ply. I am assuming that the Bellows is only 2 plies. One small rock impact and that entire expensive piece of hardware is so much junk. There is no patching it. The manufacture would have to cut out the old and weld in a new bellows.
Is it worth more to get the cvt integra and tune/modify it or the Elantra N dct? I like the integra and would prefer to get the manual but heavy daily traffic is why I’m steering away from manual and also I know the cvt isn’t easily modified

Never heard of PRL. Is this something that came into prominence with the new honda turbo motors? Last time i looked into honda performance mods was in the k-series era.
K-Series is still very popular but the newer turbo engines are gaining quite a bit of popularity as well. PRL is mainly for the newer applications. We have been using their production for the past few years, couldn't be more happier. The things is that once you do that you are up around the price of a CT-R, but still stuck with the 1.5 liter engine as a center piece of the car.

We have yet heard possibly sludging engine due to heat from downpipe.

We are seeking to upgrade our clutch as well prior to flex and tune. We will have more coverage very soon.

Its comes with the extended harness with the downpipe kit
So the Down pipe and the front pipe are the same thing?
Downpipe connected directly after the turbo, and front pipe connects between the downpipe and your exhaust b-pipe

What 1.8 they don't make one anymore in North America it's 1.5t or 2.0t

Never heard of PRL. Is this something that came into prominence with the new honda turbo motors? Last time i looked into honda performance mods was in the k-series era.
K-Series is still very popular but the newer turbo engines are gaining quite a bit of popularity as well. PRL is mainly for the newer applications. We have been using their production for the past few years, couldn't be more happier. Here's their site:
