Hi Trent, love your videos! Retired now from many years of blimp flying and am living in Denmark, flying a French built Reims F-150M around Scandinavia. You are an inspiration that keeps me running to the airport to get my feet off the ground, you bring back the fun! I’ve shared your channel with tons of my Danish pilot friends and we always look forward to your next installment. We would love to start a back country flying group here but the population density is high here and the aviation rules are very tough, not to mention so few planes here are capable of bush flying conditions. So, for the time being we will keep flying our Cessnas, Pipers etc. and do our back country dreaming by watching you have fun! Take care, fly safe and keep the videos coming!!! Sandra
The best thing about having Trent as a friend.... You get awesome professional grade footage of yourself flying!!!!! hehehe Glad your back up in the air, miss your videos.
I was just thinking that his friend couldn't ask for a better set of videos. The weather was beautiful; the framing of his plane was just perfect; I want one of those for me.... oh, crap! I don't have a plane. I guess I'll just have to watch Trent and his friends!! ;^)
I worked at the local FBO at No Las. Vegas airport. Many of the US Air Force Thunderbird pilots were partners in a Citabria. They told me they sometimes just want to get back to simple flying
Hey Trent, also got the DJI FPV and found out you can turn off the traffic alerts. DJI placed it deep in the settings but its in the advanced safety settings called Airsense. Safe flying!
I agree I never have a greaser landing, even though I am still a new pilot just about to get take my checkride. I like that you go through basics when you have not flown in a while. It shows your commitment to safety.
I've been flying for just over 37 years various types of airplanes and now on and fly a Whitman Tailwind W8. Not really a short field aircraft but it does get down reasonably well. I've always stood by the adage that there's nothing as useless as the air above or the runway behind so all of my landings have been short-field. Obviously in gusting conditions you carry some extra speed but even then you be surprised what you can do with full flaps just slow things down. This video if it didn't have ads in it which I know you need, it's such a quality it could be played in a movie theater. you do a fantastic job Trent and I hope you keep it up.
Great to have you back flying in company. I can’t think of another Vlog with as high production values - yours are just so pleasing on the eye. Great stuff
Just a wicked video!!! Great job on the drone flying and capturing pure awesomeness!!! Readying through some off the other comments, I agree would be a great idea to fly with and or just interview Gil a bit on his airforce years and what brought him into bush flying!!! Again you and your flying friends rock and keep bringing great content for others for years to come!! Good job Trent!!!Cheers from NE,BC, CANADA
Trent, a safety tip for you. Always treat a prop as though it’s hot when pulling it through and keep yourself clear on each blade rotation. Great shots from the drone.
Very cool Trent going to be watching you a lot, busy next few months as I prepare to move back to Alaska after being gone 24 years. God bless you and Hailey.
Nice work Trent - Looking forward to seeing you and catching up with you at MayDaySTOL! (It not only SHOULD be a good time, it's going to be an EPIC time!)
Trent! Great to see you back man. Been missing you! Live flying vicariously through you and take great inspiration from your videography. There is a reason for just shy of 400K subscribers! Keep on keeping on!! Oh, loved the look at DJI FPV!
I know you fly drones for a living but damn.... if it’s not too much to ask for I’m sure everyone would love to see more of your craft like this it’s AMAZING! True talent on the sticks both flying a plane and a drone just amazing
It is really good to see you in the air again, keep those skills sharp! Just got me an electric vehicle, 2021 Bolt EV, and I feel like I am flying. This thing is quick! Wheels down + shiny side up.
The little crooked video of the drone made me wanne tilt my head a couple of times but it’s amazing what that little thing can do. Also that they seemed to put ADSB in it. Over all, a great video - as always!
Trent: "Because, the most likely way that you're going to bend up your airplane is on rollout having a ground loop." Also Trent: Casually talks through the entire short approach, touchdown, and rollout. Impressive skills.
More vids pls! I really love your videos Trent, and they have inspired me to become a bush plane pilot. As soon as I can, I'm getting into flight school and getting a kitfox to call my own.
Trent, Naturally the FPV videos are outstanding! Done by a DRONE CAMERA EXPERT. very well done and edited, I am sure Gill must have enjoyed seeing his plane and flying skills on video.
My Sunday afternoon is saved! great to see more flying! I'm trying to convince my friend with a farm to make an airstrip, that's the easy part, trying to convince my wife I should be allowed to buy a bush plane? that's the really really hard part :) Thanks Trent for keeping up the great content. Hope one day you can make it down to Australia, Cheers
I love the amount of freedom you guys have over there. If I would chase a little road at 15 ft AGL in The Netherlands, I would be arrested! 🙈 Love the content, Trent! 👍🏻 Keep it up!
Your comment about riding motorcycles in traffic being dangerous reminds me of a comment of the commander of the USAF Thunderbirds made to a reporter when asked what the most dangerous maneuver the team had to do. His reply was driving to the air base each day in traffic.😀
Haha, totally agree. I’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger on the DJI FPV. I’d rather have a Kitfox! Love the visibility in that thing. I have a pile of DJI products and have a love hate relationship with them. A friend brought over a DJI spark one time and I tried to fly it around my yard and trees. It went into freak out mode and the automation took over. It popped up and flew away from the trees. I landed it and handed it back to my friend and didn’t want to fly it any more. I do like my Mavic 2 Pro....on the fence about the new FPV. I might just build a manual Fpv with a go pro. I do love the simplicity of buy and fly with DJI. That’s really interesting about the ADSB warning near manned aircraft. Keep up the cool videos Trent! Hopefully I’ll see you out at Oshkosh or a fly in some day! Tip
I would like to get a bush plane in future, but problem is, here in Finland there is really few places you can actually land. Most of Finland is just forest and fields that have crops. Maybe if i would go to north there could maybe be these kind of empty areas where i could land but i am not sure.
A 25 mission WW2 pilot friend, now gone, but told me the Army Air Corp bought Cubs for the pilots to use during down times. He said the lost quite a few pilots in England playing with the Cubs. A memory from the past! Low and slow can be fun! I left my Cessna 210 to build and Avid Hauler, but no longer have a plane or fly, SAD!
I recently watched a few vids on costs of owning a Cessna 182.... Holy smokes, batman! One annual service cost over 14 GRAND! Average annual was like $7,000! Hanger space in Houston area... Zero! Had to hanger in Dinkytown! I've followed your channel for awhile and how that kitfox was mostly the only choice. Has to be a lot cheaper in many ways from a more traditional aircraft. To me bush flying is akin to my offroading on a quad with rough roads and uncertain footing!
Here in the UK Kitfox fliers have had trouble with loss of aileron authority when having the flaps down. So a lot of guys do not use flaps and resort to Sideslipping to get into the slot. Each to his own I guess. Regards, Jim in NI UK
Got very excited when you said “outside of Lincoln.” I thought, he doesn’t mean Nebraska does he? You did! Bringing family and friends. Maybe see you there 🤙
I don't think there is anyone else that captures the essence of flying on video and showing others just how fun it is. Well done.
It would be cool to hear more about Gil and flying f16s vs Bushplanes!
Maybe an interview?
I would like to watch that episode
Yes I would watch that. Its such a contrast.
"I flew F16's, It's a different kind of flying". Need more Gil! Thanks Trent for another cool vlog.
Great idea
Like that shot of him landing! Greased that and touched down right at the top of that bump
Nobody in an airplane:
Trent in an air plane: "we might as well stop by my house"
I’m going to slow it up now, Ha funny one, he’s flying at kitfox and he has to say he’s flying slower. Is that a joke.
thats the life
I second an interview with Gil.
Also thanks for reminding about time out of seat and being a litte more vigilant when you return.

" I need to get something from home, id better stop in to get it......"
That is a pilot life right there!
The best thing about having Trent as a friend.... You get awesome professional grade footage of yourself flying!!!!! hehehe Glad your back up in the air, miss your videos.

After flying F-16s flying a cub must be like flying in slow mo.
He probably landed a super cub before the landed an F-16. Up until some 18 years ago, the Israeli flight school used them for initial flights.
I worked at the local FBO at No Las. Vegas airport. Many of the US Air Force Thunderbird pilots were partners in a Citabria. They told me they sometimes just want to get back to simple flying
@@aGabay pretty sure usaf uses carbon cubs for primary training.
@@superbill9066 I'm talking about old school super cubs!
I flew home today at FL450, it must feel like scraping the ground as well as slow.
Good to see you back in the air....sharing with all of us. Beautiful!
Wonderful, gorgeous shots from 10:00 - 12:35!
Hey Trent, also got the DJI FPV and found out you can turn off the traffic alerts. DJI placed it deep in the settings but its in the advanced safety settings called Airsense. Safe flying!
Wow watching the second drone chase at 9:50 gave me chills. It encapsulates the beauty of flight so well
You're one hell of a drone pilot too Trent. 👍
I'd hope so, that's how he pays for his full scale flying :D
That shot going down the hill in the FPV towards your airplanes was unreal!
I agree I never have a greaser landing, even though I am still a new pilot just about to get take my checkride. I like that you go through basics when you have not flown in a while. It shows your commitment to safety.
Cool FPV shots...right off the wingtip - caution wake turbulence! Glad to hear you are back to work.
Finally a worthy video to watch over breakfast
Yea thanks for posting I have been super board

Your love for Aviation and your experience in the editing room show in every one of your videos, truly awesome! Thank you 🤟🏽
Great to have you back flying in company. I can’t think of another Vlog with as high production values - yours are just so pleasing on the eye. Great stuff
What stunning landscapes you have to play around!
Again you did it : It is a visual treat ! So nice to watch! Thank you!
I really enjoyed the videography in this one! Awesome shots following the plane with DJI FPV, and awesome flying!
love the video footage It's just awesome. glad to see you flying again have missed your videos.
Trent ... Love your videos. What views in combination with nature. You are the best.
Love the use of the 360 Max Lens Mod on the Hero 9.
Nice film! Great locations and pov bush flying on a sunday morning... Thanks!
That was fun!....Great drone shots where Gil's prop looked like it was stopped...And what Nicholas Eng said below...More on Gil flying F16s please...
"Back in the saddle again"! Thank You for sharing your flying and droning adventures!
Just a wicked video!!! Great job on the drone flying and capturing pure awesomeness!!! Trent, a safety tip for you. Always treat a prop as though it’s hot when pulling it through and keep yourself clear on each blade rotation. Great shots from the drone.
Later that day, F-16 lands on your strip.
Very cool Trent going to be watching you a lot, busy next few months as I prepare to move back to Alaska after being gone 24 years. God bless you and Hailey.
Currently in a love-hate relationship with my DJI FPV too... I totally feel you!!!
Trent, once again some crazy sick footage. Glad you finally got back up in the air... almost forgot how much fun it is to fly right seat with you!
Was hoping that the family and you where doing well. Nice to have a video again. Glad to see you been busy working. Take care 'Spin'
Very nice footage Trent. Well done. Atleast its spring your side now. Enjoy
Love the drone shots Trent. Thanks for sharing and be safe.
Superb video Trent. I especially liked the drone flying shots and the flying in the canyons. Let’s have a vid with Gil and his experiences in the F16.
Keep flying and making great videos Trent. I enjoy it and hope to fly myself some day.
Nice work Trent - Looking forward to seeing you and catching up with you at MayDaySTOL! (It not only SHOULD be a good time, it's going to be an EPIC time!)
I loved the mix of planes and FPV. First video I've seen of yours. Keep doing what you're doing. You're killing it!
This was incredible I loved all the canyons you flew through and that second landing spot was awesome, love your videos!
Excited to see you guys at MayDay. It is indeed "outside of Lincoln" - about 84 nm! Hope you guys get some good footage on your way here.
Too much aerial content in here and I’m loving it!!!
Trent, I agree with Gil, great flying! Also, those were still some impressive shots with the DJI FPV. A pro on both types of flying. Great video!
Trent you are truly Blessed, Awesome video, and keep them coming!
Hey 👋 Trent! I became a Bush plane's fan because of your videos. Thanks man 🙂👍
Trent! Great to see you back man. Been missing you! Live flying vicariously through you and take great inspiration from your videography. There is a reason for just shy of 400K subscribers! Keep on keeping on!! Oh, loved the look at DJI FPV!

Glad your back to videos I was worried its been boring without them
I was going through flying withdrawals.... Glad you’re back!
Great footage, glad to see you flying.
Excellent, fantastic video, I love what you do. Thanks. Mike
Great video! Thanks for sharing. You guys are living the dream!
From Canada
Such great footage Trent - thanks so much - R

Great to see you flying again, nice footage.
So Trent....when do we get to see you fly an “F-16” haha. Great video man! Glad to see you back.
Great video - Love - Love - Love the DJI FPV footage - Awesome!
Trent: "Because, the most likely way that you're going to bend up your airplane is on rollout having a ground loop."
Also Trent: Casually talks through the entire short approach, touchdown, and rollout.
Impressive skills.
Right? I'm thinking wow you should never be holding convo especially on landing... Good job Trent!
Jonesing for video. The follow shots and final slowmo down valley over scrub was epic! Look forward to fly season.
Awesome video as always Trent! Thank you!
More vids pls! I really love your videos Trent, and they have inspired me to become a bush plane pilot. As soon as I can, I'm getting into flight school and getting a kitfox to call my own.
Certainly the best of your recent videos!!!
Trent, you’re spot on about your analogy of dji drones. I’m flying the Air2 and it’s a great done but dji needs to get rid of all the restrictions.
Trent, Naturally the FPV videos are outstanding! Done by a DRONE CAMERA EXPERT. very well done and edited, I am sure Gill must have enjoyed seeing his plane and flying skills on video.

Hello Trent from Sydney, Australia
* amazing images of the prairie, thank you and happy easter.

Always relaxing watching your flying, no matter how long between vidios.
I love the amount of freedom you guys have over there. If I would chase a little road at 15 ft AGL in The Netherlands, I would be arrested! 🙈 Love the content, Trent! 👍🏻 Keep it up!
Going to the MayDayStol drags. Can’t wait.
The greatest videos ever. Greetings from Peru. You`re amazing man!

Very nice drone footage! Here we can see, how a professional acts! 😃

That gimbal for the over the shoulder shots ... just awesome!
Great video! It will be nice once you get your hangar done. Nice way to combine FPV and regular flying🪂👌

What a sweet video! It was very fun to watch!
Will be up there for PRS early June...hope to see you flying. I loved this FPV footage.
This was a great video man! Great flying, great filming!
Nice cuts and music. #GoodFeels
👍🎈
I live in Alaska and when you check out peoples flight patterns they be going crazy
The gimbled fwd facing camera was really sweet. Thx.
Geat to see you back...lol...nice vlog today...
It’s good to see you flying again
Hey glad to see your flying again, we look forward to your videos. I thought we lost you there.
What a good video bro!! and by the way very beautiful landscape.
Drone shots are nice. Hope you keep them coming.
Oh come on, you know you love the FTR 1200 🤪 can wait to see the weather get better there
