Trent, you were the first plane TH-camr that I started watching, all those years ago, and you're just about to hit 500k now. It's a sad day to see the Freedom Fox go, but at the same time I wish you all the same success as the stories continue.
Had a blast watching this KitFox evolve over the years, and ill never forget it! Thanks Trent for all the great content, what you do inspires me to do what I love doing.
Bitter sweet. Been following FreedomFox's trip home to Texas. I just booked a trip to pick up my new to me Aerotrek A240. This year will be epic for all of us!
Many years ago when I was homebound I discovered your adventures with Freedom Fox and your videos were a great boost to my morale. Staying tuned for more adventures in the new plane. Cheers.
So glad everything worked out. I know it's a heartbreak to see the Bird Go, except that it's going to a good home wishing Dave all the very best and great success. And in the meantime I hope you all have a Blessed & very Merry Christmas!
2017, m6 step dad was building a kit fox. U got him into wanting to fly again. And it got me watching you videos. Going to miss that beautiful piece of art.. I'll keep following her. And you.
Every time I watch it takes me back to 17 years old in 1962 flying out of Grants Pass OR. Flew to Roseburg to get enough cross country and meet the examiner with 40 hours and 40 minutes
I’m glad I was able to see it at Reno 2019 and meet you Trent in front of it. A truly wonderful plane you’ve had all these years. But I do know it’s time to move to something different. Can’t wait for what’s to come next.
It was never about the FreedonFox.....ahhh! dang! ..... it was always about the FreedomFox. We were just a wingman enjoying the ride. This I am gonna miss.
Sad to see it go but it seems its going to a good home. Its been great watching your trips and adventures over the years and looking forward to ones with your new plane. Thanks for all the fun times Trent and wishing you and Hayley a very Merry Christmas from NZ & all the best for 2025. Cheers 🍻
I know the feeling. I sold my classic truck. I got a lot of thumbs up everywhere I went. Prices were so high, I couldn't resist, plus the mission I had for it ended. I figure I'll buy another one if I need it one day.
It's gotta be hard to walk away for something that's been an integral part of your life and identity. Looking forward to following along on the new ride.
I do recall one of my favourite adventures of yours was with the Mustangs! Very, very cool indeed! Thank you Trent, for all the wicked adventures with the Freedom Fox! Look forward to seeing your Cub real soon. Take care and hope to see you in your Cub up here in Canada!
I couldn't be happier thnx for the send. While I'm ever optimistically looking forward; I bet the past will be cherished by many. Someday I hope to realize appreciation for the injected charged rotax engines.
Trent enjoyed this time with the KitFox and you, yeah maybe it is time but it is a hard pill to swallow at times now a new year comes and a new plane friend
Flew that jabiru from California to Ohio. Did stuff I probably shouldn’t have .. but a fun 2000. Mile trip . Chasing wild horse s in Montana ! No I didn’t 50 feet off the ground with a student license with the instructor saying go for it ..
I cant believe its gone ...watching it take off without you piloting left me light headed...oh man... The next plane had better be better ??? what ever....
These videos, the Freedomfox, the back county adventures have been so epic. Can't wait for the future build to be completed and the adventures that await. So cool to capture this cool moment handing over the plane. I'm not a pilot, I fly the Freedomfox in my simrig FS2020/24. It was really interesting watching the process of someone never having flown the Kitfox before and basically going through that whole process while he awaits his full licence. Really cool.
Yeah, you're going to miss this airplane. But only right up to the moment you fly the one you build yourself. Have fun, stay safe and healthy, make more good content,... and stick to squarespace.
that must feel weird as hell flying right seat in your plane with someone else in charge. looking forward to seeing your new rig. take the fog as a good omen.
G’day Trent. On your recommendation I bought an Insta360 x4 & loving it. I have it mounted on my RANS S-21 Outbound with an Al pole held on by Flightfix Maui mounting brackets. I love your carbon fibre telescopic pole & might go that way. Who sells it & what is its full extended length. What brackets are you using to retain? Thanks Greg
Is there any truth to the rumours your Dad was Robert Palmer the Singer. You look like him When in doubt find the Horse and ask it. Lol. Love your channel
Been watching for years bought my first aircraft from California had the privilege of flying in the monster cub ! Water skiing down the river . Unless your in the 7 figure income . YOU can’t play in this world ..
Why did you sell it? You looked like you got so much enjoyment out of it. Are you going to be okay with your wife behind you while flying in the new Cub? Seems like it would be hard to carry on a conversation not being able to see each others face. I guess you weighed your options and the Cub came out on top.👍
This is truly one of those bitter sweet moments, it is going to a good home, but man i am going to miss seeing her in your videos.. She is an amazing plane.
Man. Truly the end of an era. Dave seems like a good caretaker. Onward and upward!
Trent, you were the first plane TH-camr that I started watching, all those years ago, and you're just about to hit 500k now. It's a sad day to see the Freedom Fox go, but at the same time I wish you all the same success as the stories continue.
A humble pilot, willing to take instructions from the original owner...is a great thing to see. She's in good hands!
Had a blast watching this KitFox evolve over the years, and ill never forget it! Thanks Trent for all the great content, what you do inspires me to do what I love doing.
I got to sit in the Freedom Fox at 2019 Osh Gosh. Trent and Hailstorm were a class act.
Bitter sweet. Been following FreedomFox's trip home to Texas. I just booked a trip to pick up my new to me Aerotrek A240. This year will be epic for all of us!
Nice airplane, the 240 and the 340. One of my favorites for sure. Have fun with it.
@michaelspunich7273 thank you
Congrats on the new plane, Stay Safe.

(6:25) the smile says it all!
Haha yep!
it was sad to see her leave w/o you in her. but looks like she is in good hands. hope your new plane being built is everything you dream of.
I’m glad I was able to see it at Reno 2019 and meet you Trent in front of it. A truly wonderful plane you’ve had all these years. But I do know it’s time to move to something different. Can’t wait for what’s to come next.
Not counting Draco, FreedomFox is my favorite aircraft. Thanks for sharing your adventures in that beauty, Trent.
Nothing compares to Draco. It is in a class of its own.
She's a pretty bird. It was an honour to see her at High Sierra Fly-in in 2023. I hope she has many more adventures to come.
I've got a FreedomFox shirt somewhere.. Such a cool plane and journey in general! ✌
Dam the freedomfox journey been a real one to follow, well on to the next adventure ❤
That is one heck of a sideslip (13:40-13:56) that you've got going on there!
It was never about the FreedonFox.....ahhh! dang! ..... it was always about the FreedomFox. We were just a wingman enjoying the ride. This I am gonna miss.

Stop in Lufkin Texas. Great municipal airport. Even a diner with the best burgers!
I know the feeling. I sold my classic truck. I got a lot of thumbs up everywhere I went. Prices were so high, I couldn't resist, plus the mission I had for it ended. I figure I'll buy another one if I need it one day.
Aw I got a little teary seeing it take off for the last time
It's gotta be hard to walk away for something that's been an integral part of your life and identity. Looking forward to following along on the new ride.
Pretty crazy to see it go but can't wait to see the new plane.
Great video Trent. Love the Freedom Fox. Was just flying it in MSFS this morning actually.
Hope he loves it as much as you do! I’m sure you’ll have the chance to fly with him again someday
Goodbye to a beautiful bird...Love the Mike Patey quote 🤠 Back To Work 💪🤠🤣
I will wait to be convinced the Cub is more adventurous than the KitFox. I am a KF fan!
It’s always a bittersweet feeling when we’ve watched one of our airplanes fly away with their new owners. Onward & upward!
Yep, I’ll miss it but I’m super excited for what’s next
Sad to see the Kitfox go away but looking forward to your new plane.
Sad to see her go. But as you say, on to a good home. Looking forward to the nnew plane.
I do recall one of my favourite adventures of yours was with the Mustangs! Very, very cool indeed! Thank you Trent, for all the wicked adventures with the Freedom Fox! Look forward to seeing your Cub real soon. Take care and hope to see you in your Cub up here in Canada!
I don't want to like this video seeing the Freedom Fox leave. But I am excited for what's to come!!
Congratulations on a Life with Chapters Trent!!
Hey Trent, nothing sadder than parting with an old friend but she has gone to a great home.
Wow that was a little sad but i can't wait to see the new cub you're going to love it have you come up with the paint scheme yet.
I missed you, but I got to see the freedom fox at Osh2019. Amazing bird.
Bittersweet for sure. Great video. He did awesome
I'm looking forward to see more about the Legend your building.
Excellent as usual!!!
I can't wait to see the ff flying with Trent's new plane... I'm sure they're already talking about it.
We must have the side by side comperison.
Congratulations Dave... I look forward to your flights in Freedom Fox.
Thanks! The adventure has begun!
Tell him to stop at 3R9 Lakeway on his way home and stay the night! We have a full guest house for anyone coming through !
Gonna miss the freedom fox! Truly the end of an era, I dream of owing a kitfox or highlander! Love the content!
OMG.... Trent without a Freedom Fox????? End of an era..... beginning of a new one? Look forward to it.....
Hearing you call out the FF tail number for the last time made it feel real! Does your new plane have a tail number yet ?
The end of an era!
On to the next chapter.....
Flew that jabiru from California to Ohio. Did stuff I probably shouldn’t have .. but a fun 2000. Mile trip . Chasing wild horse s in Montana ! No I didn’t 50 feet off the ground with a student license with the instructor saying go for it ..
Now you Ned to get ahold of Mike Patey and get him to help give a Carbon Cub the "Scrappy" treatment.
I’m telling you dude, like me you gonna miss your Kitfox.😢
I cant believe its gone ...watching it take off without you piloting left me light headed...oh man... The next plane had better be better ??? what ever....
Thar she goes, heres to new adventures.....
You got to get Talon Sei up and flying more!
do the 29s always deflate that much overnight?
I know that feeling as I’ve just been through it myself 😢
These videos, the Freedomfox, the back county adventures have been so epic. Can't wait for the future build to be completed and the adventures that await. Would love to see Dave fire up a tube channel, haven't seen much bush flying in Texas but I know there's lots!
He’s got one! I put a link to it in the description of this video
TP I think I know why Rotax in Legend, quiter??
Mixed feelings on this one. Trust Dave will enjoy his "new" aircraft
Looks like the Freedom Fox will be in good hands. If you need a Kitfox fix come on down.
I still have every mountain bike I ever had. I could not imagine some one riding off on my Moab.
Yeah, you're going to miss this airplane.
But only right up to the moment you fly the one you build yourself.
Have fun, stay safe and healthy, make more good content,... and stick to squarespace.
Well that was sad.
You should have asked an old guy before you did this. As an old guy, I have to say, man. You will always want that one back.
Make sure he beeps the horn
This was rough to watch in some ways. It was yours! I know that you will love the new one.
Need a FreedomFox development summary video - use your old intro for some real retro!
I can see it in your face.... " Maybe I could afford two planes " haha
I want to be Trent Palmer when I grow up.
Charles Sage, author of ZRX-6, Out of Time
Gonna miss the KitFox. What's the projected arrival date of the new Cub? Looking forward to seeing some videos with that.
that must feel weird as hell flying right seat in your plane with someone else in charge. looking forward to seeing your new rig. take the fog as a good omen.
You get back to Texas let’s go play on the Red River.
Trent, what are your thoughts on these drone issues on the east coast?! Bill P
When are you getting your new plane?
ah, sad to see it go. You'll have that void for a bit until the new bird is in your hanger.
I started watching Trent when he was at 4,000ish subscribers. Not sure if it will be the same.
Sorry to see the Baby Go.
G’day Trent. On your recommendation I bought an Insta360 x4 & loving it. I have it mounted on my RANS S-21 Outbound with an Al pole held on by Flightfix Maui mounting brackets.

Time for a Freedom Fox greatest hits mash up video?
so sad to see it go
I own a KF 4 , no way I would ever sell it , I know I would live to regret it
I’m telling you dude, like me you gotta miss your Kitfox.😢
Been watching for years bought my first aircraft from California had the privilege of flying in the monster cub ! Water skiing down the river . Unless your in the 7 figure income . YOU can’t play in this world ..
At the beginning i thought that was matt from demolition ranch
It was the saddest end I ever seen in your videos. So now I'm more anxious to see you fly the new plane. When will that be?
Bye bye Freedom Fox! 😢
Good bye, Freedom Fox!
My dream one day is to own that plane maybe in 20 years when I’m 35.
Why did you sell it? You looked like you got so much enjoyment out of it. Are you going to be okay with your wife behind you while flying in the new Cub? Seems like it would be hard to carry on a conversation not being able to see each others face. I guess you weighed your options and the Cub came out on top.👍
I guess this means you need to make a new intro for your videos!
What an iconic plane.
This is truly one of those bitter sweet moments, it is going to a good home, but man i am going to miss seeing her in your videos.. She is an amazing plane.
Damn you sold it??
No way that was ez
