  • Episode 17
In this episode its time to go for a sail on board the 97 year old Thames sailing barge Repertor to take part in the first race of the season, The Pin Mill Barge Match.
Before we can hoist the sails and head out onto the water we have to get the rig raised and let the riggers get everything ship shape.
After an awesome weekend sailing on board these majestic beauties its time to get back to the workshop and get cracking on the fitting of the rest of the full curved roof beams and carlins.
If you would like to find out any more information about the thames barges and their history then head to the Thames sailing barges facebook page: / 1491060737778004
If you would like to book a charter or have the chance to join the crew and come along for one of the matches held every year then head on over the SB Repertor for more information:

    Excellent video.
I especially liked the old barges as I grew up in Maldon and lots of them would come in and out.
I have fond memories of the races in the '70s and' 80s and recall Reminder nearly 50 years ago when a girl I went to school with lived aboard her.

Love the film of the sailing barges. It's nice to see that some traditions are kept alive.
Also, I'm enjoying the work you are doing on the roof beams. I'm learning a lot from watching you work.

Finn, I knew you were a rising star when viewing some of those early episodes of the rebuilding of Tally Ho, then by pure accident, I fell onto your channel and here you are rebuilding your own boat. Awesome work, content and all the rest. I was immediately hooked, and am now looking forward to each and every episode. Thanks for sharing your journey.
