      @@_A_Ong I had a 22inch softside carry-on from IT luggage. Kind of like this one: amzn.to/3IRpMCT I prefer soft-shell carry-ons, because they are more flexible. When I need to check bags, I prefer hard-shell luggage. Thank you for asking!

    Great ideas! I like to take inflatable lumbar and seat pillows! I get them out a few hours into my flight as a treat to myself. I also like to pamper myself by doing a face masque after I wash my face and brush my teeth. (Now that COVID restrictions are lifting, I plan to do more masques during the flight.) I also take a saline nasal spray for long flights. It helps so much. I like to wear compression socks aa well. I will wear my cheap hotel slippers on the flight and toss them later. They make my feet feel more comfy on the plane.
    I like that you remind us that we are on vacation! Little creature comforts on the plane really make a difference and make me feel special.

    Love the video Juhui! All solid tips! Especially about beer and food. I am always surprised by airline food choices as many are not good for your digestive system with the pressurized cabin- and how your stomach feels can make a huge difference even on a shorter flight.

    I am over 6 ft so always pay extra for exit row seat by window. Strict vegetarian so also put my own food in overhead compartment with snacks. Anker q30 headphones are Heaven as ear buds fall out with me. Finally always prescription Ambien as strong sleep aid as 15 hours are murder......haha

      After seeing passengers open the emergency and exit doors on the ground and in the air, I will steer clear of it. I feel sorry for tall individuals because their knees touch the seat in front of them. It must be uncomfortable.

    Those inflatable pillows are great. I used one when flying overnight to Germany and I slept for about 3 hours. Not a ton of sleep, but I have never been able to sleep for 3 hours straight without waking up on a plane before. Having some sleep made the first day there much more managable and enjoyable.

    Hi - which airlines did you fly? I did not hear which one it was.
    Also having a long flight coming up. I just bought the sleeping pillow your husband has last week. I am going to try it out first before the flight. The water bottle and the neck brace are on my list to purchase
    Thank you for the great tips.

      I flew Asiana Airline! That's a great idea to try out the pillow first, I personally found the water bottle very helpful, though I do hear some complaints about its plastic-like taste. This can be eliminated or reduced. When you receive the bottle, you will see the instructions on how to. Despite the slight taste, the bottle is BPA-free. That's why I bought it, and even during the trip, I carried it around with me. In Europe, most restaurants don't serve tap water, and a small bottle of water is like 3 euros. It saved me some money to fill up my bottle and carry it around. Thanks for your comments, and I hope you enjoy the essentials and have a great trip!

    The sad part, ANA that I flew dont have a reclining economy seats and I thought its doable but its not. So if anyone here uses ANA, double check if their economy seats do recline or not

    Hey so Im booking the cheapest of the cheap so Im only allowed to bring my backpack for under the seat. Is it also allowed to wear a fanny pack as well or does that count as a personal item also? Thank you in advance.

    • @NewYorkerJuhui
      @NewYorkerJuhui  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As long as you're wearing the fanny pack and it's not too bulky, I don't think it's considered as a personal item. So you should be able to bring a personal bag and wear the fanny pack, in my opinion.

    Do not use the bathroom sink for your toothbrush! That water is not potable! 😱

    • @NewYorkerJuhui
      @NewYorkerJuhui  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I saw the "do not drink water" sign near the sink. I thought wetting the toothbrush wouldn't be same as drinking. I also heard some say even washing hands at the sink or drinking the airline coffee and tea are not safe. I understand the water quality in the airplane is not good, but I wonder to what extent.
