My way of not making mistakes, especially when tired, is to have designated pockets for each item in my small carry-on travel bag, and also my backpack that goes in the overhead locker. Any time I take something out it goes back into that specific pocket. Once my hands were full when I was in the airport so I tucked my passport and boarding pass down my front, into my bra, for safety - but I usually do not do that so I really panicked when I could not immediately find them, checking all my bags and pockets. Another tip is to bring a small plastic bag in your carry-on (I just wash, dry and roll up a plastic bread bag, to recycle it). On the plane it can tuck into the seatback in front of you for somewhere to put the antiseptic wipes you use on the seat tray and seatbelt buckle, plus any food wrappers and used cups etc.
I had read someone suggest using the plastic grocery bag to line your seat pocket so your items will not be touching whatever(used tissue, etc.) was there before you. Isupose you could use your idea plus the bag for each.:-)

This is by far the BEST packing tip video I've seen on TH-cam!😮👏👏👏✈️ Most people are really just vlogging another day in their life, but your advice is thorough and to the point. Thank you!💛
These are great tips! I always fly economy because I can't justify the cost of more expensive seating options at this point in my life. I definitely look forward to trying out these tips to make my travel experience more comfortable. 😌
That's a poor man mentality. Your vacation starts when you leave your home. Always a limousine to the airport. Lounge, first class and limousine to my hotel. That's how you start a vacation. Every other way is pure torture and stupid.
I am preparing for the UK this year its my first ever trip (and first ever alone) So, this helps the most in preparing without feeling overwhelmed. Thank you :D
I'm going to Japan in Oct, I made sure to pick an aisle seat in the middle. I also picked toward the back on a row with 3 available seats. I'm hoping if it isn't a full flight, there's a better chance of having at least the middle seat empty.
just a reminder: not all countries use the same type of electrical outlets, so make sure you have the right kind! it sucks to get to the airport and have a cable you can't use. also, airports will likely have adapters you can buy that work in that country.
Some adapters have a 220 volt to 110 volt step down transformer and some do not. My shaver made an impressive furious self destructive sound the moment that I first powered it on with 220 volts of British electricity. On the other hand, my phone charger works correctly at either voltage.
These tips are fantastic! I usually opt for economy class when flying, as I find it more budget-friendly for my current lifestyle. Excited to apply these suggestions to enhance my travel comfort. Also, considering using Express Parking for added convenience on my next trip!
I learned (at least ) two things from your video: 1) I have to extract your „gurgly“ and make it my new ringtone and 2) watching your videos during my morning workout has such an uplifting effect and my workout is done in a jiffy; so please, make your future videos 45 minutes long and include a „gurgly“ signal every ten and 45 seconds 😉; keep up your - in the BEST sense - infectuous energy and keep those great videos coming!
awwwww!!!!!! this comment made my day!! 😍 You are so sweet! 🥰 hehe thank you so much for watching and for being such a nice person! 💕 and YOU GOT IT!! 👌😁
Thank you for the tips. A lot of them I already do, but, you gave many more that’s a must. Going back to Bora Bora in Nov and it’s a straight 10hr flight. I will be using many of your tips I had not thought about. Thanks a lot. You have a new subby by here.
Great tips. I tell people to also try to use the bathroom just before your flight. And groups should try to carry their own belongings. That way a person knows if something is missing vs thinking someone else is carrying it.
I got airsick when I was a kid so I followed your advice on what to eat and drink (yum ginger ale!), and survived my first 14 hour flight to Taiwan! Did not throw up as soon as I landed 🙌 Thank you for all your travel tips. I especially agree with be nice to the nice flight attendants. 😄 Actually just be nice to anyone in customer service industry. Think of all the stuff they have to deal with! Light sleeper here, so sleeping on the plane was near impossible for me. I'd wake up every hour to drink water because the air dried out my nose and mouth! I also used the trtl pillow you featured your "everything I packed for travel" video! I originally bought it for my mom but she didn't really like it so she gave it to me. But when I used the pillow the wraparound way, it worked for a few hours but I woke up to find my neck sweaty and ear swollen from resting on it (they kept the plane nice and toasty, didn't even need a blanket). So, I just put the pillow behind me for neck support and that worked better for the rest of the flight.
That’s awesome!! I’ve done that too with the trtl! I actually just put it behind my head when i’m in the car and it’s so comfy lol. I’m so happy you didn’t get sick on the flight yay! And some planes are soooo dry. X_X
@@buildyourmoxie Keep the trtl pillow in the car - there's an idea! Currently it's hibernating in my carry-on but maybe I should bring it out for long distance car-travel and not just long distance plane-travel. haha Yes! I watched a bunch of travel tip videos (starting with yours) about navigating airports and wish I was warned about dry air affecting not just your skin but your nose and mouth! When I got to my hotel, I took a shower, cleaned my nose and...nosebleed. :/ So for the flight home, I wore a mask while I slept and that helped. Any advice from experienced travelers is welcome! (*hint hint* if you feel like making an updated travel tips video 😉)
Long-distance Flight is exhausting, especially with an 8-year-old boy, thanks for your tips, there are so many great suggestions I've never heard before, it's helpful.
I've been watching travel TH-camrs for years and I especially love your style of communicating! All of my long flights are from the US to Cambodia through Korea for volunteer teacher training. I'll be happy to suggest for my friends to subscribe to you! THX!
Wow, thanks for putting together these survival tips! Long flights can be exhausting, so having some strategies to make it more bearable is much appreciated. Can't wait to try these out on my next journey!
Thanks for these very practical tips! I’ve recently started paying for the exit row seats because of the leg room which I love but the downside is you’re right next to the toilet! Xx
First time watching your channel and I enjoyed it. Heading to Sicily, Austria, and Chez Republic in September. I enjoyed the content and you have a good sense of humor. Jim From Reno Nevada
Wow I love how you put it, we are planning our Korea trip for this April or May and wanted to travel in business or first class. I’ve thought about going economy so I can spend more money on my traveling instead of my plane ticket.
I have a very strong allergy to bleach and therefore it’s really hard on a plane when the person next to me has bleached the whole area. My ask of the world would be to use ANY other wipe except Clorox or ones that contain bleach. Edit- wet ones, purell, and many other sanitizing wipes are available that do not contain bleach :) Thank you so much if you read this comment
That shouldn't be allowed! Bleach can trigger asthma, and as an ashmatic person, I would be terrified to be exposed to bleach in an airplane, especially during a long flight! 😢
I love my Beis bag, just wish is had a trolley sleeve to attach to my carryon luggage. I opted for the Northface never stop bag for my trip to Thailand instead. Great tips!
Omg Thailand is such a great place! We were just there last year! 🤩 beautiful!! Thailand and Japan have some the nicest and most hospital people in my opinion too! And I’m happy you love your beis bag too! 😍
Compression socks aren’t only good for the plane, they help so much when you have long walking days as your feet don’t get as tired. There is a reason why nurses use compression socks!
I got quite a revelation in a dream recently concerning headaches & migraines that I suffer w/ the evening after a long air travel day and dehydration. MINERAL WATER!! It makes perfect sense. I will purchase several bottles now in the airport. It will keep my system balanced.
Remember flying to Jfk on red eye flight was good but once sun it had my legs hot. Would recommend bringing a jeans phants or something to cover legs especially if you traveling to places known for the Sun
haha! thanks so much!! 😂we healthcare people sure talk a lot about poo-poo everyday 😅. I see a lot of back pain patients that actually are just constipated haha! I make them keep a poop journal and it helps!
That is totally a strategy people do!! I tried that once to get less sleep before the flight and then a toddler kept kicking my seat so I couldn’t sleep on the plane much then it was horrible and I started my trip off exhausted😞🥵. So now I don’t chance it!! I say get good rest whenever you can!!! 😍🤩🤓🔥
I did that! well not on purpose I. have insomnia so I didn't sleep the night before and didn't sleep on the plane either 💀 and we were going to the youth Olympic Games so what a fun experience to race with like 15 hours of sleep for the whole week :,D (didn't sleep well there either 😭😭)
I love this video, honest , straight to the point and not afraid to talk about pooping. I just subscribed hoping I have a chance to see if you have videos about the plants behind you.
I was lucky enough while travelling to and from Europe recently to be able to drop my guts on all long haul flights without there being any odour. It does come in handy knowing that you have the confidence to go crop dusting without fear of rebuke from other passengers 💪
0:53 great tip ...seems like i would have thought of this.. but i did not...i always bump people when i take off n put on my sweatshirt...thanks i neeeded this tip!
I’m going to Japan for school, leaving in October! I recently came across your videos and have been binging them! Definitely helpful for a first time traveler such as myself! I feel less stressed now haha!
omg how COOL!!! I hope you have a BLAST going to school in Japan! 😍🤗. I'm so happy you are feeling less stressed 🥰. Japan is truly amazing and it will be even better once you get your rhythm down!! ENJOY SCHOOL!! 🤩
I watched 1/2 of this video before my overseas trip and kind of didn’t realize how invaluable the advice was until I was actually on my trip. I especially appreciated the advice about poo and keeping the hangries at bay. Throughout the trip, my mind kept referencing the tips in this video. I confess that I didn’t hit like on the video before, but I just did it now and subscribed. Thank you so much!
I bring a small roll of bags with me, then I have a place to put those wipes you suggested to wipe down the tray and arm rests. I also wipe the head rest.
I love to travel and I hate to fly, especially flights that are over 8 hours long. Just like you, I always fly coach. From where I live it takes a minimum of 10 hours to get to anywhere in Asia and minimum 11 hours to get anywhere in Europe. There are some good tips in this video like filling up your water bottle at the airport and bringing snacks. I always get an aisle seat so I can go to the bathroom anytime that I want. Bringing extra entertainment might help too. Maybe a book, your own movie, a game, whatever. Sometimes there’s nothing good on the in-flight entertainment and sometimes it doesn’t work. No entertainment on a 14 hour flight is torture. Bring a good attitude. Being stuck with 300 people at 35k feet isn’t pleasant.
Haha it’s true! Just the wipe is biodegradable! These wipeys are huge in the backpacking community where they wipe their tushy after the 💩. Then you bury the wipe in the dirt!! A lot of backpackers still use toilet paper which doesn’t biodegrade as well so these ones are perfecto in the wild. 🌲💨But in general, you are supposed to bring the wrappers back and dispose in trash can. 😁 would be cool if they could make a biodegradable wrapper that also prevents the wipe from drying out! Also I hope you enjoy the compression socks!! Literal game changers!!! 🔥🔥🤩 Cheers! ❤️
We are Economy people too and your videos are pretty interesting to watch, thank you for sharing your thoughts and tips for it is very helpful. BTW…I got my wife the BEIS luggage after watching your vid….good and bad…lol
TH-cam premium has helped me a lot during inner european flights because I could/can download a bunch of videos and yt premium also downloads videos for you automatically as it gets the taste which is super awesome
Thanks so much! Headed to one of those crazy 21 hour flights. I love to bring deodorant wipes and like you said, a change of clothes in a small plastic bag. Something new I'm doing on this flight is a surprise gift for the baby who will inevitably be fussy for a big part of the flight. Not mine, but always seems to happen. I'm going to give this gift to the flight attendant to gift to the screaming baby with a cute note inside about how my babies traveled like that too!
when i visited uganda i landed on a friday, they put my luggage on another flight, and i couldn’t get it until monday, two sets of extra clothes in my carry on saved my life 😅
Hello, I’m really enjoying your video. And yes, I already subscribed. 😁 I like your energy, your presentation, basically your personality! Thank you so much next April will be the first time that I fly. And I’m nervous I’m just going from Texas to Hawaii to visit with friends. I haven’t seen in 15 years. I’m so excited, but heights are not my friend. Again, thank you for all your tips and tricks and the hand wipes. Individually packaged was an awesome idea. I tend to get overheated hence the moistness of my body. Lol so I think you can pack more individual packages instead of one bulky one,. They’re biodegradable to which is a huge bonus. I will probably start watching most of your videos now. So again thank you and I hope you have a good day.
Aw you are so sweet! Hehe thank you so much and thank you for watching! And yes! The wipes are so great!! We have the single wipes and then the large pack too for when we are using more of them more often like during our camping trips. Game changers!! I love the single ones so much because they can fit literally anywhere haha. You are going to do great on your first flight to Hawaii! ☺️ what airline are you thinking of taking?

I am preparing for the UK this year its my first ever trip (and first ever alone) So, this helps the most in preparing without feeling overwhelmed. Thank you :D
I’m so glad to hear this!! ☺️
And wow! A solo trip to the UK 😍❤️🔥. Have a great time!!
Thanks!
Aw wow thank you so much!! 🥰
I'm going to Japan in Oct, I made sure to pick an aisle seat in the middle. I also picked toward the back on a row with 3 available seats. I'm hoping if it isn't a full flight, there's a better chance of having at least the middle seat empty.
boom! what a pro!! 😎🔥
Glad I ran into your vid 11 days before my first 13hr flight coming up. Subscribed...just now
just a reminder: not all countries use the same type of electrical outlets, so make sure you have the right kind! it sucks to get to the airport and have a cable you can't use. also, airports will likely have adapters you can buy that work in that country.
Some adapters have a 220 volt to 110 volt step down transformer and some do not. My shaver made an impressive furious self destructive sound the moment that I first powered it on with 220 volts of British electricity. On the other hand, my phone charger works correctly at either voltage.
Thanks!
Wow thank you so much! 🥰❤️🥹
These tips are fantastic! I usually opt for economy class when flying, as I find it more budget-friendly for my current lifestyle. Excited to apply these suggestions to enhance my travel comfort. Also, considering using Express Parking for added convenience on my next trip!
"Really nice people" Got me . This video was really benefitting.
Hehe thank you for watching!! 🥰🫶
You have a new subby by here.
aw thank you so much for watching and subscribing 🥰
Great tips. I tell people to also try to use the bathroom just before your flight. And groups should try to carry their own belongings. That way a person knows if something is missing vs thinking someone else is carrying it.
🔥yes agree!!!!!! So many people think the other person has their bag and it gets left😭
The level of detail for these tips, I love it 😂. Love useful tips with a dollop of funny 😂
Haha! Thanks joycey!! 😁😁
I got airsick when I was a kid so I followed your advice on what to eat and drink (yum ginger ale!), and survived my first 14 hour flight to Taiwan!
Did not throw up as soon as I landed 🙌
Thank you for all your travel tips. I especially agree with be nice to the nice flight attendants. 😄
Actually just be nice to anyone in customer service industry.
Currently it's hibernating in my carry-on but maybe I should bring it out for long distance car-travel and not just long distance plane-travel. haha
Yes! I watched a bunch of travel tip videos (starting with yours) about navigating airports and wish I was warned about dry air affecting not just your skin but your nose and mouth! When I got to my hotel, I took a shower, cleaned my nose and...nosebleed. :/
So for the flight home, I wore a mask while I slept and that helped.
Any advice from experienced travelers is welcome!
(*hint hint* if you feel like making an updated travel tips video 😉)
The variety of textures in the amzlv pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
Loved how she kept saying that really nice people.😉
😁they have always been so nice to us!! 😁😁
Long-distance Flight is exhausting, especially with an 8-year-old boy, thanks for your tips, there are so many great suggestions I've never heard before, it's helpful.
Great advice,I am an economy type guy . I also rather spend more money on the place of vacation than on the flight to get there.
🔥great minds think alike!!
Noise cancelling headphones and a neck pillow are the first to take space in my cabin accessary bag
Yes!!! A must!!!! 😁🔥
I've been watching travel TH-camrs for years and I especially love your style of communicating! All of my long flights are from the US to Cambodia through Korea for volunteer teacher training. I'll be happy to suggest for my friends to subscribe to you! THX!
aw thank you so much for your support!! hehe. And thank you for your kind words 🤗🥰.
Also thank you for serving and volunteering in the asian community! 🥰heart of gold 💕
I travel a lot for work and traveled a lot internationally when we lived in Europe, excellent advice all the way around.
Thank you so much! 😃
One of the best travel tips videos I’ve ever seen here in YT! Hugs from Brazil 🙂
Aw thanks so much for your kind words!! 😍 and wow Brazil!! hello from Los Angeles!
Xx
Haha unlimited potty breaks!! 😝
Thank you for watching!!
First time watching your channel and I enjoyed it. Heading to Sicily, Austria, and Chez Republic in September. I enjoyed the content and you have a good sense of humor. Jim From Reno Nevada
Hi Jim! Aw thanks for watching!! 😁
Also have a great time on your trip!!
Fantastic video with invaluable tips - thank you
@@sean777c aw thank you so much for watching 🥰hehe and for the feedback! 🤪
about to go on a 12 hour flight to Tokyo in Comfort+ . These tips will definitely help!
Perfect timing!! Have a great time in Japan!!! 😍
Wow I love how you put it, we are planning our Korea trip for this April or May and wanted to travel in business or first class. I’ve thought about going economy so I can spend more money on my traveling instead of my plane ticket.
🤩I love it!! 🤩 I usually will just bear some temporary discomfort for a nicer vacation over there!
I have a very strong allergy to bleach and therefore it’s really hard on a plane when the person next to me has bleached the whole area. My ask of the world would be to use ANY other wipe except Clorox or ones that contain bleach. Edit- wet ones, purell, and many other sanitizing wipes are available that do not contain bleach :)
Thank you so much if you read this comment
so good to know!!! I do love purell and wet ones!!
That shouldn't be allowed! Bleach can trigger asthma, and as an ashmatic person, I would be terrified to be exposed to bleach in an airplane, especially during a long flight! 😢
A tip that I learned during my last Hawaii trip; You can bring ice in your water bottle. TSA allows ice as it is a solid (weird, right?).
You’re a great storyteller, informative, and fun ❤ thank you
Aw thank you!! 😝
Compression socks aren’t only good for the plane, they help so much when you have long walking days as your feet don’t get as tired. There is a reason why nurses use compression socks!
Yes! Agree!! I wear them 5 days a week every week! Huge difference!! 😃
May I know the compression socks please?
link in description!
the LYXBAG would be super cute during the fall with a nude or tan or even tonal outfit! i’m thinking a tan wool coat with that bag!!
You're an angel Moxie! thanks so much! about to take my first long flight and I'm super nervouse but I'll go prepared at least!
You got this!!!! 😍😍
I got quite a revelation in a dream recently concerning headaches & migraines that I suffer w/ the evening after a long air travel day and dehydration. MINERAL WATER!! It makes perfect sense. I will purchase several bottles now in the airport. It will keep my system balanced.
🙌yes! You got this!! 🤩
I fast the day that I travel. It's great.
nice!!!
Remember flying to Jfk on red eye flight was good but once sun it had my legs hot. Would recommend bringing a jeans phants or something to cover legs especially if you traveling to places known for the Sun
Wow, I got so many questions answered watching your video, Thank you!!!
😃 I’m so glad!!! Thank you for watching!
Haha. I have three of those vuori tops already and so this is very satisfying to see 😅 i was already planning to wear them on my next trip!!
Haha!! Yes!! Another vuori addict! ❤️🤭 i love it
Loving this , especially the down to earth potty and poo-poo advice
haha! thanks so much!! 😂we healthcare people sure talk a lot about poo-poo everyday 😅. I see a lot of back pain patients that actually are just constipated haha! I make them keep a poop journal and it helps!
Excellent advice, much of which I follow when travelling, but good to hear your endorsement that I'm getting it right.
Yay! I’m glad we are similar and I’m also doing what you are doing! Great minds think alike 🤓
Love the travel tips, we're off to Japan in a little less than 4 weeks for our honeymoon, our second long flight
Congratulations!! 🍾🎉 and you are going to have a blast!!!! 😍
We are also going to japan in 4 weeks for our honeymoon 😊😂 have fun!
@@romychar 😍congratulations!!! It’s going to be such an amazing honeymoon!!
❤❤❤❤
you too!!! see you there hahah@@romychar
my cousin told me to not sleep on the night before the flight and then you will easily be able to fall asleep on the plane ❤😂
Me. Coz i’ll be packing all night coz i procrastinated lol
I did that! well not on purpose I. have insomnia so I didn't sleep the night before and didn't sleep on the plane either 💀 and we were going to the youth Olympic Games so what a fun experience to race with like 15 hours of sleep for the whole week :,D (didn't sleep well there either 😭😭)
I love this video, honest , straight to the point and not afraid to talk about pooping. I just subscribed hoping I have a chance to see if you have videos about the plants behind you.
🥰 thank you so much!!! Also, I made plant video!! 🤩How To Keep Your Houseplants Alive | BEGINNER GUIDE

When I travel, having a clean face from a wipe helps me so much in feeling fresh and clean..er 👍
oh man a clean face is so nice! feeling greasy and dry at the same time from travel is the worst😅
And... I subscribed to your channel because you are helpful and fun to watch. ❤
🙈wow thank you so much for the compliment! 🤭you are too sweet!!
@@buildyourmoxie That's an Asian (I'm) way of respectful and paying back a favor. 😜
Thanks again for all the tips and sense of humor. 🥰
@@LHP74D3 ☺️haha! 😁thank you for watching!!!! 😍
Watch on 1.75x speed. Thank me later. 😂

Thanks, Was very easy to understand

You’re right 😮
I was lucky enough while travelling to and from Europe recently to be able to drop my guts on all long haul flights without there being any odour. It does come in handy knowing that you have the confidence to go crop dusting without fear of rebuke from other passengers 💪
0:53 great tip ...seems like i would have thought of this..
but i did not...i always bump people when i take off n put on my sweatshirt...thanks i neeeded this tip!
you're welcome! yay! no more bumping! hehe thank you for watching!!🤗
Compression socks are also good for promoting proper circulation and preventing blood clots on long flights.
🙌🔥yes!!!
Noted. I'm planning to go on a vacation in Asia for 15 hr flight for the first time. Thanks for all the tips. 😊
Yay!!! Have a great time!!
Thank you so much!
haha I love your honesty!! Thank you for coming back!! Hope you had a great trip!
I bring a small roll of bags with me, then I have a place to put those wipes you suggested to wipe down the tray and arm rests. I also wipe the head rest.
I love it!!
Also I wipe the head rest too!!😎👌
I love to travel and I hate to fly, especially flights that are over 8 hours long.
I love it! We are so similar! =D
Wow this was an amazing video. Thank you
Thank you so much!! And thank you for watching!!
I love the biodegradable wipes in the non biodegradable packaging. I'm going to try the compression socks. Thank you!
Cheers! ❤️
We are Economy people too and your videos are pretty interesting to watch, thank you for sharing your thoughts and tips for it is very helpful. BTW…I got my wife the BEIS luggage after watching your vid….good and bad…lol
Hahaha! Sorry I made you spend your moneys!! Beis is so fun!!! And thank you for watching 😁
TH-cam premium has helped me a lot during inner european flights because I could/can download a bunch of videos and yt premium also downloads videos for you automatically as it gets the taste which is super awesome
It’s the best!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Such a great video! So real! Thank you
Thank you for watching!!! 😃
when i visited uganda i landed on a friday, they put my luggage on another flight, and i couldn’t get it until monday, two sets of extra clothes in my carry on saved my life 😅
☠️ oh man!!! I’m so happy you had a little bit in your carry on! 😭
I loved this video. Thanks for sharing
🤗 thank you for watching!!
Buy the row of seats. Cheaper than first class but more personal space.
😁 that is so true! 😝
Oh im a Physical Therapist as well and i also wear those socks at work! Makes the long hours standing bearable 😂
Hahaha!! Hello my fellow colleague!!! 🤩😎 haha I love it! It’s so comfy!
Nice tips, generally, but I would never prefer those central plane seats!! I try to avoid them at any cost. I always want a window seat.
Thank u So much I’m going to the airport this Tuesday this is really helpful thank you
😃hope your trip went okay yesterday!!
The video was great and informative. But, you were hilarious! 😂
Haha thank you for watching!! 😁
New subscriber here. Omg, you are hilarious. Thanks for this video.
