    I made this top in 2020, in a beautiful marsala color, while listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks. It's a core memory of mine now, and I've returned to this video because I'm gonna make two more, in grey and white. This top is so beautiful and versatile, I feel like I need it in every neutral!

    Quick questions. I want to make this but 1. What is a "band" you daid something about thr length of the top but keep in mind a band is included or something like that 2. How much yarn did you use? 3.)Is it of if I use a 4mm? My 3.5 is in Cardiff with my sister atm lol

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you looks closely to the bottom of the top the stitches are a little bit tighter, that's the band. Similar to the waist band of some shorts. 😊 All of the tools are listed within the first minute or two of the video! Definitely can use a 4 MM hook, Keep up with the measurements and you're good to go.

    i love this top however it doesnt really work for us leftys, after joining the sides together, having the wrong side facing me means the marker for the side i need to work on is the side we would usually start on. the end of the piece is on my right not the left to start

    Has anyone done a 'medium' to this yet? I'm trying to do it blindly for my sister in law cause I've been on a kick lol and don't want to give it to her to not fit. I also don't know how to non chalantly bring up her measurements in a conversation cause it's not really a subtle thing to ask lol TIA

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Amber! I have seen it done in mediums, but am unsure about the measurements. If you have a fitted shirt that she wears you can take that measurement and apply that to the pattern. 😊

    Hey T! Another great tutorial. You never disappoint us. My favorite make would probably the amigurumi fruit and veggie basket I made a few years back. It's got everything from snap peas and corn on the cob (complete with the husk and silk), to strawberries and a peel-able banana. It was a great stash buster and I get so many compliments on it!

    Hi, it's me again.. still working on this lol! it would also be helpful if you explained the increases and decreases on the scoop more, I don't think I did anything wrong but I come out with less stitches on the other side of the scoop because the decreases on the back panel are different! on the front panel we left out the last stitch and crocheted together the 2 before, whereas on the back panel we crochet the first 2 stitches together!!

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Veronika! What scoop are you referring to? the neck scoop or the armholes?

    • @verovodka
      @verovodka 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TCDDIY I mean the neck scoop! Are there supposed to be the same amount of stitches in the rows of the front and back panel? Because it wasn't the case for me even though I followed every step :(

    • @TCDDIY

      Oh nooo, Try to take apart the Single Crochet row along the neckline, sometimes that tightens it and makes it stretch less. Try it on with the Single Crochet row and if it still fits you fine would just have to add more Single Crochet's so it's not as tight. 😊

      After the shoulders & forming the neckline stop your row a little further down. I think we stop ours a Stitch or two away from the top of the shoulder, you can stop yours an inch or so away to form a larger neck hole. 😊
