The lessons are great! I definitely recommend them to people who are on the edge. He is a great coach, and efficient with our time. He brought me several seconds when I thought I already had the car on the limit with changes to my line, cornering techniques, and braking points. Definitely recommend!
As a physically disabled sim racer on my platform of choice ACC driving the car of choice the McLaren 720S GT3 EVO, and having my first coaching session with Mr Baldwin Sir, I can say without a shadow of a doubt his first lesson had scrubbed off tenths off my time at Silverstone. For the longest time I was trying to get under the magical 2 minute mark with the set up he had suggested I use, and with the hardware changes he had suggested to make, it allowed me to adjust the TC to 3 and ABS to 3 respectfully, I was knocking on the door with a low 2:00 minutes milliseconds off breaking the two minute mark. Along with my other coach he and I had taken on board with James had said and I thought lets try switching TC and ABS to 2 and see if I can control the car around that track. I was literally over the moon when I crossed the finish line for the first time under 2 minutes. To say without a shadow of a doubt without James input that wouldn't have been achieved. Finding consistency in ACC is one thing, finding where the errors and and removing them is a testament to James years of knowledge to allow this driver who has physical limitations go beyond what I could ever dream of in removing, the fear of the unknown. If you asked me if it is worth asking James to be your coach. I'd simply look at you and say two words, "Hell YEAH!"
@@Jaaames oh the next one can't come soon enough, as Davide and I are a bit perplexed on the club sequence at Silverstone.... *As Jim Carrey would sing out loud and most proud "Here he (Mr Baldwin Sir) comes to save the DAAAAYYYYY!"* Looking forward to it. Most looking forward to it! 👍💯💯👍
The sessions are great learning a lot and look forward to the next one each time. Great value for money as you see and feel the results. It's so helpful to have a real pro walk you through things in a way you can understand it.
That last 5 star review was from James, UK. Hmmm, you cannot grade yourself! Lol. I wish I was serious enough about sim racing. I can only finish a 25min race if it's a driver swap event 😂 I would love to see a tutorial on close racing - defending and overtaking. A few years back there was an SRO night race (I think) at Nurburgring GP. You had dropped down the field (Stewards related) but got back up quickly behind Jardier. I believe he held you off for about 17 laps. At different times you both could have done a Max. He defended like a beast and you had the magnets on. It was incredible racing and demonstrated skills a lot of sim racers believe they possess but are nowhere close (T1 Monza! Lol).
Hahah I'm afraid James is a very common name in the UK lol. Yeah I remember that race, was mega. Shame how it ended but yeah always good racing Jardier😆
I've known of GT3 drivers who have their first ever motor race in their 50s - unfortunately, these guys invariably own construction companies, or are lawyers or dentists and the like. It's all money.
@@Jaaames reason i ask is bank transfer from italy to UK costs less than via paypal, exchange rate here in south africa is terrible. I will wait to see if a bank transfer option ever becomes available. thank you
I'm now offering coaching! jamesbaldwin.gg/coaching/
I'm definitely going to be booking in. In the new year, I think an hour for daytona is a wrap, big up 👊🏻

Been great to see your progress so far Craig, cheers for the recommendation🙂

At that price I might have to take a miss ❤
🤣🤣🤣
it’s def worth it y’all 🙏🏻 he helped me fine 1.5s in qualy and was very professional with how he communicated with me before and after!

Oh hell crap what an opportunity! Unfortunately with just 350 hours in Gran Turismo I hope I learn more before looking for a coach!
James I am looking to buy a rig. Would you recommend a play seat trophy? Love to see a top guy coaching now by the way
It really depends on your budget, I'd go for a GT style rig instead of a formula one, think it's much better for your back tbh😅
Im still wondering if i can get good in my 30s... and somehow be a racecar driver
Will be tough, age is just a number tho so never rule anything out
@Jaaames that is true. For now, my practice is acc, and my hobby involving a 1000 hp nissan on a track 4 times out of the year...

Hey James, what if I’m on the ps5 can we still make it work?
At the minute it's for PC users only, I'll try & figure out a good way to make it work for console users as well.👍
I love your videos James
