Watched golf l8ve for 50. years in that time saw all the greats but by far Faldo is the purest striker of a golf ball I ever had the privilege to watch. Legend of the game.
Sir nick faldo is a true master 👏 😊
Yes he is!!
What a MASTERCLASS! We need more of this series. This will help million of golfers and it's FREE!
Thank you!! More to come :)
Nick is a humble and brilliant genius. Of course he was one of the all time best shot shapers however his ability to explain and demonstrate the complex subject in a comprehensive and straight-forward way is brilliant.
Thank you for the kind words---we love watching Sir Nick!!
Absolute master class. 13:10 I bet the majority of club golfers can benefit from this!
Thanks Rob!
I saw a teaching session about first tee off nerves he did with kids ....must been 20 years. It never left me, not just golf, he said something along the lines of imagine you are the star of your own epic movie and you are just playing the part....bloody brilliant advice
Love that!
Nick Mr fix it, he's actually a very funny guy, a few of us chatted to him at Wentworth many moons ago, on a practice day, he was very funny and accommodating, still got my program and glove that he kindly signed hanging in my office wall
Love it!
Please keep these coming. He’s got so many good tips
Thanks Tom! More to come :)
Sir Nick is a national treasure 🏴
Yes he is :)
Faldo is my hero!
Love it!!
This is unreal, love Nick
:)
Yes, Nick is a natural born teacher.
Agreed!
A Master class.
Thanks Paul!!
Amazing! So much great info. Thanks for this!
Thank you!! Our pleasure!
Incredible as soon as he said curl your foot i was like this guys going to hit it straight 😂
:)
The legs are probably least mentioned part of the swing out here on TH-cam lessons world when in reality they are probably 50% of the swing. I know this because whenever I went to play when my legs were tired the consistency disappeared. They fire and control the hips so if they are out of whack everything else will be. Perfect example with this lesson.
Yes!
They are some nice Louis Vintons
:)
Good thing Eric was there. I hope for John’s sake it was a free lesson.
Absolutely brilliant Nick 👏👏👏
Thank you!!
What a classy person Faldo is. A true gentleman.
Humble, funny, generous - and obviously so knowledgeable.
Agreed :)
He forgot to put both Bollocks in his right pocket 😄🏌🏻
The guy was almost always picking up that left heel and turning it in an inch or so.
It's gonna take a lot of repetitions to fix! 😮
:)
So simple.
He still moves his left foot later in the video
Where is this studio at?
Boca Raton, FL!
Show more knuckles on the lefthand.
I can’t imagine what this guy must’ve paid for this lesson. Or how much Eric had to pay Sir Nick.
:)
Every bad shot after Nick recognizes the left foot issue…is his left foot still moving.
I don't have any toes
Take up swimming.
This is such an easy fix ... you guys are making it way too complicated. Obviously he's casting slightly and his shoulders are too quick. Fix the casting by placing a tee or any small object 1 ft in front of the ball and slightly off to the right and tell him to swing through that plane.
Secondly, just have him fire his hips before his shoulders by telling him to make his first move forward pressing his left heel down hard - this will elimate the casting and drop the club into an inside plane.
At this point, his problem should be fixed but also i would have him just stand with feet shoulder width apart and take an iron and just practice for 30 seconds switching the weight back and forth between left foot and right foot while slightly sweeping the ground to get used to shifting his weight.
Either way this was not the right approach that Faldo took (in my opinion).
Long story short, as long as the hips are out ahead of the hands (clubhead), you won't come over the top. Anyone who casts typically has too much involvement with their upper body and not enough hips.
Thanks for the feedback!!
You must be David Leadbetter
Chooch
The guy's stance seems a little wide, this will restrict his ability to turn freely
They keep telling him to close it. He does a little then fidgets it back as he addresses the ball. It's so hard, especially for us olduns to change 😂
:)
Too much info.. silly gimmick exercises
Simple way…
But a soft practice ball under your right shoe arch and keep the pressure on through the back swing
Use your left hand to push the club into the takeaway and NOT your right hand pulling the club
Use your left arm to pull the club in the downswing like a toilet chain your right hand just follows
Watch the club hit the back of the ball
Replace your divot with a smile because the strike felt so sweet
Walk down the middle of the fairway to hit your 2nd shot onto the green
Laugh because the game now feels easy
Your welcome
Guy won’t be able to walk for a month
:)
Think this guy knows what he is talking about, who is he?
:)
🎉😅😂
Welwyn Garden City swimming champion 1971
A friend of mine was pro at WGC. Said when he arrived in the morning his bike was chained up outside the pro shop. When he left it was still there. Faldo earned everything he’s got through hard work.
@@cynt1111 absolutely. One of the hardest workers in golf history
Brilliant. What a treat for you and the guys selected, Eric. "Dance in your Vuittons" 😆
Thanks Geoff :)
Faldos shoe comment is gold 😂
:)
Seve gave Faldo the left thumb tip. Faldo asked him how he could firm up his swing. And, he certainly is right about left hand and arm control. One great exercise is to hold the club out to the left and then press your left hand in front of the clubhead. This actually sets the club in motion on the correct arc. The takeaway is actually two dimensional. The extensors extend whilst the wrist joint pushes back. The extensors create the arc and the wrist joint broadens the arc.
Good stuff!
Such a brilliant lesson! What a privilege to have a one-to-one lesson from Sir Nick!
Yes!!
Faldo, the best easy to listen to champion/ coach in the world! Watched untold videos by everyone else and nick is mustard!
:)
How many things has he given that guy to think about?? 😂
Curl your toes on your left foot. Swing in to out. Close your stance. Don't grip with the right fore finger. Engage your knees.
His head must be battered.
:)
This is senior swing masterclass!
Thank you!!
I have this problem of pulling it for example my aim start point with any iron especially from 8 to pw is like 6 yards right of the flag and then my ball will end up in line with the flag I'll have to try that
Hope it helps Paul!
Great to see Nick & Eric working their magic
Appreciate it!
5:13 "squeeze your right buttock and"...fart. 😂 oops...a bit too much squeezing going on? Or not enough? LOL
:) Just the right amount!
Hands forward at address, Sir Nick. Also, he could point the rt elbow towards his rt hip at address. Your tips are also spot on!
Yes!!
Fixed my takeaway. Thanks Sir Nick you are a legend
Thank you!!
Short back swing, lousy tempo, inconsistent contact.
Great! That solves everything!
Tempo wasn't that bad!
I was at Troon for the open, the year Calcavechia won so late 80’s i think and Nick signed a book i had, still got it somewhere, need to find it!
VOlume issues on the recording
Sorry about that!
Nick Knows!
Yes!!!
Faldo rocks
Agreed :)
