Thank you for the information. My best friend is 50 and has MCL and she’s going in to hospital for the next 3days to stay and have her 2nd round of aggressive chemotherapy and she’s been told when all chemo is finished she will need a stem cell transplant.
Really praying it gives her a fighting chance and she has many years left yet🙏🏼

I'm glad this is helpful. Speaking from a spouse and best friend perspective, I find knowledge/understanding of what's happening to be a great comfort (well, as good a comfort as can be had) and I've found quality of care is a broad spectrum so knowledge is quite literally power. Best of luck to you and your person.

@@CancergraceOrgYes, that’s SO true🙏🏼 My friend turned round to me a few months ago and said “do you know your the only friend I have that has researched my condition and educated yourself to know how to support me best and that means the world to me” she said it gives her great comfort as a lot of friends have disappeared unfortunately. Thanks so much I’m hoping for the best for her x

My 86 yr old father just got diagnosed this week, waiting to learn what stage he’s in. Meanwhile, we’re trying to learn what MCL is. Your video helps us understand our potential trajectory. Thank you for this great information!

Can anyone give me the survival prognosis (not for myself), of an eighty year old woman in New Zealand, no other significant comorbidities, with MCL? Tumours in neck evident immediately before receipt of chemotherapy one year after diagnosis. First six rounds of ‘CHOP’ somewhat successful, visual inspection confirms tumours have shrunken back.
I have no deep emotional attachment to the person in question so commiserations or sympathies are unnecessary if not unwelcome, I need a ‘ballpark’ figure.

Your question is far from having an answer. It depends on what stage the cancer is, whether or not more treatment is going to be given or how well the noted treatment benefited the person.
Even with that info oncologists are notoriously bad at guessing how long someone has to live unless they are actively in the dying process. I'm very sorry you're asking this question about someone you have no deep emotional attachments. It makes me wonder why you ask at all.
