What a blessing, for me. At 73 yrs/old I'm in the twilight of life. Cancer and heart disease are having their way with me. It's easy to feel the darkness, but guys like Dr Dan help me to stay focused on the light. I hope you'll never have to comprehend why that's important. Dan, you’re amazing. Immunotherapy is going to work for you. It is. From the very first time I heard you say you were considering it I absolutely knew you would be healed. Not just extending your life. Healing you of this cancer. A few years from now you’re going to be running on the beach with your dog playing frisbee catch and remembering these hard days and enjoying every minute of your second chance. The treatment that works for you will work for thousands of us trying to hang in there long enough for a cure. Thanks for taking the lead. We appreciate you!
For 2.5 years, immunotherapy was the premier treatment for my grandmother's terminal renal cell carcinoma. She stopped that particular treatment due to lethargy, however. This decision was the beginning of the end. She began having hospitalizations for grave issues over the course of the next 3.5 years before she died@dalhousiekid .

Dan I want you to know how you have impacted my life! I'm pain free (knee and back) for the first time in years and I'm walking 5k a day which is really helping my asthma but most importantly, my mental health. I've told so many people about you and your wonderful back course. My daughter has MS but is also a marathon runner ( she ran the London marathon 2 weeks ago!) she is now working through your back course whilst training for an ultra marathon in October. I send you positive thoughts and pray for you all the time. You are such an inspiration! I lost my colon to cancer in 2009 and then had cervical cancer in 2015 so I understand a little of what you are going through xxx
Dan, I beat cachexia from stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. The answer for me was a diet high in protein. I was eating 3-4 eggs a day after my chemo and before my targeted therapy took affect. I ate a lot of fish, chicken, soups. Your Mom's chicken soup sounds perfect...way to go "Mom". Hope she makes plenty of it for you. I drank the really high protein Ensure, too. Get some sun a couple times a day, take a good multivitamin and get some extra Vitamin C into you. I use the inexpensive Vitamin C drops in the big green bag from the big A company online. I take a couple in the am and a couple in the pm and they really help with increasing my energy level. Don't worry...it takes time. It may be a couple months after your surgery before you start feeling normal again so hang in there. Praying for you and so happy that you are obviously feeling better and getting stronger. Enjoy those enchiladas and tamales when you can get someone to bring them to you! HUGS from Alabama!
Dr. Dan I was diagnosed 5 years ago with stage 4 lung cancer that spread to my bones, liver, . . . I was also operate and 1/3 of my left lung was removed. I went from 210 lbs down to 133 lbs. After all that I desided to stop all the treatments (some trial treatments). I turn all my energy to improve my diet

I’ve been checking on your channel for updates and keeping you in my prayers ❤ my sister is battling stage 4 colorectal cancer and her latest scan showed tumor growth so she’s back to her tough chemo and a chemo pump at home for 48 hours! She just had another scan yesterday and will get the results next Wednesday. Cancer SUCKS!!!!

Youare doing the right stuff. I had cancer and an osteo bag for about 15 months for stage 3 cancer...which was later removed. My stomach liked cottage cheese when I couldn't eat much else. I used it it to melt capsules so they wouldn't get caught when I took them. Also, protein shakes...a few sips at a time. Support is critical. Glad you have us, but more importantly your parents. And walking. I have walked off colon cancer, breast cancer and heart surgery! You got this. Blessing to you as you take it a day at at time.

Your mindset, your positivity is unbelievable, I suffer from an awful illness, no cure, no medication. Not any knowledge to go on. All they can give me is try this med, try that med, with each app costing $50plus which I can't afford. My husband of 25 years abandoned us. Our son has serious heal issues, he's a teenager still. So I have to sacrifice for him. I suffer everyday. Summers and winters are the most dangerous for me. My phone broke which is under my husband's account. So he doesn't give the phone place permission to look at my phone. A way to continue to control me. My car is very old. His father vacations, shops, eats out while I just worry. Why I share this. Because you have helped me to try and worry less. So thank you for that. You have such courage and faith. I wish I could be half as positive as you. Continued prayers for you and a cyber hug. ❤❤

Melatonin, around the clock, just might save your life!! My brother-in-law was not responding to chemo for his stage 4 colon cancer, that spread to his liver, until he started on melatonin. He was given 2 years at most to live and is now cancer free! He never disclosed to the doctor's that he was taking melatonin and they were very perplexed as to why the cancer was gone. They stopped his chemo half way through his 2nd round because it was gone. He still takes 300mg a day. He has been cancer free for a over a year now.

Dr, my friend was given 6 months to live, with cancer on his bladder, both kidneys, and his spine. After consulting another friend who beat cancer naturally, he cut out all sugars and carbs. He then started taking B17 through consuming apricot seeds. He lived 7 more years, and at 1 time, was declared cancer free. God's speed!

my husband had gastric cancer, lost from 175 down to 99 pounds, he is back up to 120, the gaining back of weight is so hard, his appetite is so low. He feels full after just a few bites of food. The foods that he finds tolerable to his stomach are pure protein bars, mashed potatoes, mashed pinto beans, frozen yogurt and oats with fruit, blueberries and apple. He wants to gain back weight so much but like you said his stomach has shrunken so much from the weight loss.
We love you so much Dr. Dan! Keep going and please whatever you do please don't give up. My precious mama passed away on January 28th this year battling appendix cancer. My whole world is over since she is gone and i live with constant heartache. She started showing signs of giving up and refused to take her chemo pills. She didn't even want to do clinical trials. Throughout this dark time your positivity gives me a glimmer of hope and happiness.
Watching my wife die certainly made me rethink my life. I retired early and now spend my days doing what I love. Not a day wasted.

Sadly, Immunotherapy didn't work for Dan. I've seen where it makes some people much worse. So it all depends on the individual, I guess.

I’ve been praying for you. My husband had an aunt who had end stage colon cancer and the lord healed her. That was 30 years ago. God is able.
Of course he is able . But that doesn’t necessarily mean he will .

Youare doing the right stuff. I had cancer and an osteo bag for about 15 months for stage 3 cancer...which was later removed. My stomach liked cottage cheese when I couldn't eat much else. I used it it to melt capsules so they wouldn't get caught when I took them. Also, protein shakes...a few sips at a time. Support is critical. Glad you have us, but more importantly your parents. And walking. I have walked off colon cancer, breast cancer and heart surgery! You got this. Blessing to you as you take it a day at at time.

Your mindset, your positivity is unbelievable, I suffer from an awful illness, no cure, no medication. Not any knowledge to go on. All they can give me is try this med, try that med, with each app costing $50plus which I can't afford. My husband of 25 years abandoned us. Our son has serious heal issues, he's a teenager still. So I have to sacrifice for him. I suffer everyday. Summers and winters are the most dangerous for me. My phone broke which is under my husband's account. So he doesn't give the phone place permission to look at my phone. A way to continue to control me. My car is very old. His father vacations, shops, eats out while I just worry. Why I share this. Because you have helped me to try and worry less. So thank you for that. You have such courage and faith. I wish I could be half as positive as you. Continued prayers for you and a cyber hug. ❤❤

Melatonin, around the clock, just might save your life!! My brother-in-law was not responding to chemo for his stage 4 colon cancer, that spread to his liver, until he started on melatonin. He was given 2 years at most to live and is now cancer free! He never disclosed to the doctor's that he was taking melatonin and they were very perplexed as to why the cancer was gone. They stopped his chemo half way through his 2nd round because it was gone. He still takes 300mg a day. He has been cancer free for a over a year now.

Dr, my friend was given 6 months to live, with cancer on his bladder, both kidneys, and his spine. After consulting another friend who beat cancer naturally, he cut out all sugars and carbs. He then started taking B17 through consuming apricot seeds. He lived 7 more years, and at 1 time, was declared cancer free. God's speed!

my husband had gastric cancer, lost from 175 down to 99 pounds, he is back up to 120, the gaining back of weight is so hard, his appetite is so low. He feels full after just a few bites of food. The foods that he finds tolerable to his stomach are pure protein bars, mashed potatoes, mashed pinto beans, frozen yogurt and oats with fruit, blueberries and apple. He wants to gain back weight so much but like you said his stomach has shrunken so much from the weight loss.

We love you so much Dr. Dan! Keep going and please whatever you do please don't give up. My precious mama passed away on January 28th this year battling appendix cancer. My whole world is over since she is gone and i live with constant heartache. She started showing signs of giving up and refused to take her chemo pills. She didn't even want to do clinical trials. Throughout this dark time your positivity gives me a glimmer of hope and happiness.
