No reverse on the air pump? It only makes sense to have the pump stick to the port so you don’t have to hold it while it inflates/deflates. Makes camping more enjoyable when you can automate certain processes during setup/take down.
@@AdventuresInTheSky Exped actually just released a pump that now will also deflate. I plan to get it soon! The deflation process has always been a pain and I’m certain their new product eliminates that.
Great question! These are just regular sheets from my house haha nothing fancy. They're queen size sheets which are a little too big, but you could probably use full size sheets.
I enjoyed your wonderful video, thank you so much for the information. May I ask the height of the wooden box you built on the trunk for leveling, how high do you need to level it with your head? It looks perfect in your video.
Thanks for commenting, I’m glad you enjoyed it! The wood is just some 2x4 pieces in the shape of a square, and then the Tesla bottom pieces rest over top. Technically there’s still a 2nd phase to the platform build which we haven’t done yet, but I might make another TH-cam video just showing how we built the platform.
@@taylordencermedia Oh really? if you are planning a video with that information, I will subscribe and look forward to it, thank you. Have a great day✨
I don't think it makes much of a difference, it's simple to add the sheets either before or after. I guess with adding them before inflating, it might be slightly easier to tuck it around all sides but really not much of a difference!
I've had a few people express interest in this...I'll make a video about this soon. Technically our platform is not finished but I can at least show you what we have so far
Hey, I‘ve built a similar plattform as well, but between the trunk part and the folded seats is still kind of a gap. Do you have a good solution for this?
Thank you! And great question, yes that would happen if I did not put a bunch of blankets and towels under that section haha. Technically there is a phase 2 to this platform project that we haven't completed, so the extra blankets are the makeshift solution. Many people have asked me to do a video on the platform so I'll probably do that soon.
That does sound like it would do the trick! It would be nice if the Exped Widget pump would also deflate it...like reversing the direction by drawing air out of it.
Hey Taylor, great content! May I know if you're interested in trying our First Innovative SmartAI Car Air Freshener(with the largest capacity of 135ML in the market)😀?

I have the same mattress! Love it
Nice! Yeah it’s been great!
Are the sheets you use made specifically for that exped mat? Or just a set of house sheets? If so what size?

So what was better putting the sheets on before inflation or after it was already inflated?

I think with some practice and getting down a good technique for deflation it’s not bad at all
Thankfully you've been the one deflating it so I haven't had to do that part other than after the first time I used it haha
Can you show a bit more of the platform under the mattress?
Would love to see/understand more about the platform and how it was built and fits in there

@@gerritesshmm I’m not sure, mine doesn’t have a gap between the trunk piece and the folded seats.
Great idea with the wooden support near your feet to even things out. Don't you find that it will then sag a little in the middle near your hips ?

What’s that thing underneath the mat?
Are you talking about the wooden platform?
yes, what is it for? storage?@@taylordencermedia
nice vid, but your discount link doesn’t work.
Thanks for letting me know, which link isn’t working for you? I have multiple links in the description.
