Overlanding to India Episode 10: Russian Federation
We pass the Russian border after 4 hours of paperwork and waiting but are immediately confronted with some more issues. First of all you can notice that there are not many tourists coming here. There is simply no infrastructure for it. We have a small adventure getting what we need to travel, but we are kindly helped by some local residents in Vladikavkaz.
Our next adventure is being stopped by the Russian Police. Just guess what happenned...
The mosquito infested Wolga Delta is not our favorite place to go, but the city of Astrachan and its Kremlin were very impressive.
Soon we reach the next border.
