Overlanding to India Episode 12: Khiva
First we ride from Karakalpakstan towards Khiva. In this video I try to give you an idea of typical things which we encounter when riding through Uzbekistan. Things like overloaded old Soviet cars and trucks. I find them very cool 😎
Then we arrive in Khiva, our first of the king cities we visit on the silk road. Our hotel is a beautiful old medrassa, converted into tasteful rooms. In the afternoon and evening we dwell through the streets of Khiva and climb a minaret. Although slighly over-restored it looks like one of the fairytales of 1001 nights.
