Umali Thilakarathne omg.. very composed and poised during the whole interview. Totally stole the show with her charm. We saw a different dimension to this young actress today. Thank you for getting her on the show..
Lovely to see Umali speaking in very fluent English. She speaks very good Sinhala too and it's great she is learning Tamil as well. Lovely ladies and a great show Danu ❤
@@Thisari93She talks better Japanese, as she completed her higher studies in Japan. Most of Japanese nerds have difficulties in speaking English. But here Umali is not that bad. Who are you to judge her English , are you late queen Elizabeth?? 😮 how many languages can you speak fluently ? 😮
Umali is a favorite of mine and it was lovely to watch her speak so fluently in English. Her accent is soft and natural. What I love most about her is that, she is a low profile character not showy and loud like most. The other three ladies were amazing too. Thanks Danu
I watched this because of Umali but must say all 4 ladies are beautiful and lovely personalities and truly talented. Particularly loved Kalpani specially about her views on skin colour discrimination.
Umali looks charming and pretty ❤. I am glad to see Umali part " Face of Asia" initiative. Umali is a diverse pool of talent who is also educated. I am beyond baffled to see some viewers that came hastily to check on Umali's English fluency. Oh...well.... Best wishes to the whole team! More power and strength to these talented ladies! 💪 ❤

I recently started watching the show after seeing sheshadrie’s episode.. I my self as a mix of Tamil and Sinhalese I love how Danu makes it all fun spicy and serious at the same time.. but this show goes to a more of a serious discussion although he tries his best to spice it up haha. Some moments are so awkward like they don’t get the joke or their just too decent which both are fine ❤ a different kind of episode nicely put! I love Umali as an actor and undoubtedly she is the prettiest, most talented and the smartest in the industry. I never miss any of her interviews! She is a gem in SL cinema who continuously reminds me of Swarna Mallawarachvhi..Though she speaks so well in many languages it’s funny people come here just to watch her English ?? Well there is a saying in the western world “you speak English because that’s the only language you know, I speak English bcz that’s the only language you know, we are very different”.. English is not a jewel nor a skill so it’s time people appreciate speaking in their mother tongue. This is a very common misconception SL has where you judge by someone’s English speaking ability, which in some parts of the world they don’t use a single English word! Such a nice crew you have brought this time Danu ♥️love it!
Omg you people are crazy checking out whether she can speak English of course she does..She studied at Musaeus..and what if she can't speak ..our mother tongue is Sinhala we should be ashamed if we can't speak Sinhalese ...
@wiranthie Couldn't agree more.😊 Honestly, it's disgusting to see the comments on her fluency. What a sad situation. People have forgotten that English is a second language to most Sri Lankans. Kudos to Umali for speaking multiple languages and being fluent in English. 👏
Well said gurly.. I think this English craze is fueled by Priyasad clan fanbase. I've seen comments on Sheshadri's comments section debating weather she should speak English or not.. weather her English is good or bad.. if it's better than her sisters.. which sister speaks the best English blabla.. now they are here.. (sigh)..
Of course, Umali is fluent in English she studied at Musaeus College. And honestly, what’s the big deal if someone popular doesn’t speak in English in Sri Lanka? People need to change their mindset and stop judging others based on language.
Umali is an average actress but her beauty is unique and captivating. However, her Victorian fashion sense has led her mainstream audience to label her as a 'versatile actress' even though they may not fully understand what that term means. Her fan base uses Umali as a means to escape or fulfill their desires and this is not really about art. Finally, when she speaks with average fluency, her fan base tends to overreact to that as well.
