He dodged a bullet tbh. The girl was looking for a "daddy". You see, there's lots of younger girls who have missing dads, or bad relationship with their father. These girls grow up to want to date older man, because they want to fill that void - and there's always a 70% chance that these girls are actually crazy, and they'll leave their "daddy" if they don't met her quota of what *a daddy* is for them.
Okay, aside from the last part, where she'll leave her daddy if they don't meet her expectations is actually valid, but I don't see anything wrong with the other stuff. I've spoken to a few guys both online and IRL who had something like that going on for them said it was pretty okay. The girl would a bit clingy(Which I myself don't mind, for example), but also very fun, loyal, loving. It's just that, yes, she does look up to you like some sort of authority all the time, which people say can be tiring. It's just slightly different relationship dynamics than usual. People have different wants and needs, and that's okay. People break up all the time because they fall out of love or don't find their partner exciting anymore, nothing wrong with that, when you're young at least.
having a friend circle of people ranging 19-35, the reality is that people between those ranges aren't necessarily different. They can have the same interests, like the latest marvel movies, enjoy the same things, discuss the same topics. The thing is, having 10 years behind your back of monotonous office jobs and playing games in the spare time doesn't really lead to your brain being more developed, or contribute to "power imbalance". I myself haven't really changed aging 15 to 25 other than getting progressively more minor health problems, and this applies to most people.
Personally I feel like I changed a lot from 25-30. Feels like my brain chemistry changed then. I was an unfocused mess until 26 or so. My mind was a whirlwind of thinking. I gained some absurd clarity like a snap after that. I still have my active imagination, but I can focus it now

@donnygrungerson473 Yeah that's obviously not what I meant but whatever makes you feel better. I didn't say it's impossible, but 9/10 times it does not work out. The difference in maturity and life experience is still too great for most people. And from my real life observations, these relationships are basically entirely about the sex. Its purely physical. My mother remarried with a great guy, that's ~15 years younger than she is (he's 7 years older than me). They've been together for nearly two decades and I finally have a sister, which I couldn't be happier about. Granted, she's young enough to be my daughter because my mother manage to, somehow, give birth at 45, but I'm a proud big brother now. My aunt's husband was 20-something years older than her. He died in the 90s, but she still fondly remembers him, even in her twilight years. It was a good marriage. Personally, I'd prefer a 24-ish-year-old, but I'm not going to say no to a cute 19-23 year old that's into me just because of her age, especially since I still want multiple children (2-6). Many of my friends are in their mid 20s as well, so I doubt the age gap would be that much of an issue for me. Also had previous relationships with large age gaps and it wasn't really a problem. Cute girl, smart, common interests (gaming, anime) but different life stages. I had a career, mortgage, all that. She was worried about… midterms. I'm 33. They hadn't fully invented trans people when I was in high school, but now I'm dating a 21yo trans boy. It's... lovely, actually. You gotta start treating people as individuals and not as a series of demographic check-boxes. Besides, be the time a girl turns 18, she's usually just as experienced as the average 30yo man. The days of college teens being innocent little girls are over.
@@JETZcorp that’s the dumbest thing I ever heard and very creepy. An 18 year old is the same as a 30 year old in modern times? Lol maybe back in the 1800s. You have it completely backwards, people are becoming less mature today. People used to be more mature back then. I feel like you are saying an 18 year old is no different from a 30 year old in order to justify your relationship. The days of innocent college teens literally just started.
@insight1428 People back then at 19 had career opportunities, religion, etc but were virgins. A 30yo man had his own house, preteen-age kids, multiple cars, and had probably fought in a war. THAT was skewed. But today, girls are walking out of high school with a higher body count than their grandparents had in their whole lives, and most boys are not. A couple guys get epic action and are master manipulators by 16, but most guys are getting less experience than the older generations. So, when it comes to dating experience, there is a huge population of older guys who are not the highly experienced master manipulators people assume they are, and a lot of younger girls are not the inexperienced nubiles that people assume they are. I've had a grand total of 2 girlfriends before now, and that's about typical for my friend group of guys. My partner has had about 5x that number, which is very common for girls that age. So who's the experienced one here? Who's the one who knows what they're doing? It's not me. But, if I'd been hot in high school and spent the last 15 years being a player, then yes, that'd be skewed again. The point I'm making is, amongst 21yo guys, there are basically players and losers and nothing in the middle. Going older gets you something in the middle. Women have always wanted a guy who is in a better point of life. More money, more experience, more maturity. Back when women had no opportunities and men went to the war or the mines at 16, that all happened at the same ages. Today, women have more college degrees and higher pay in their 20s. The young men don't have what they want, unless they want a player from Tinder. MEN are going backwards, but women are not. There are tons of guys in their 20s who haven't ever had a girlfriend. There are basically zero girls in that category, and those girls don't want those guys. Which is why 35% of women 18-30 are single and 65% of guys 18-30 are single. The only way those numbers can exist is if those girls are dating older or sharing the desirable younger guys. And, of course, it's both.

It's not that much the age gap as it is the life stage. She's still a teen. He's a young adult. Once we grow older the playing field evens out. But as things are right now, unless she's really mature or he's really childish, things wouldn't work out even if they tried. And that 50 yo dude has to be on some list. That might not be illegal, but it's DEFINITELY wrong.
People don't have to be in the same phase of life to get along. Also, I'm sorry to be the one to break this to you, but every study shows that men of ALL ages find women 18-25 most attractive on average. We didn't evolve to want to breed with the post-menopausal set. Obviously. Everyone acts like the girl is just a hapless victim bring plucked up like from a store shelf. She's an adult and making her own decisions. A lot of Gen-Z girls prefer older men. To put it bluntly, getting treated like meat by teenage boys with nothing to offer gets old real quick. There isn't a corollary value-add for men to seek out older women.
@JETZcorp Or course they can get along as acquittances or maybe even friends. But it's a stable relationship what gets tricky. And just because you find someone attractive, it doesn't mean they would be a good partner for you, or you for them. It goes beyond physical attraction, which is just an instinct. It has to do with mental maturity, and age is just a guide, but fairly accurate in most cases. A 50 years old MAN going after a 19 years old TEEN, is suspicious to say the least. Someone with a clear head just doesn't see people that young as potential partners. He could find her attractive of course, but from that to actually thinking about having something with them there's a big gap. Lastly, it's not that the girl is helpless. But she's definitely vulnerable because she's inexperienced, and someone with more experience and bad intentions could manipulate her, making her consent questionable despite her age.
@moteroargentino7944 A couple things. First, inexperience is absolutely not a given at 19 today. I'm 33, my partner is 21, and I am BY FAR the inexperienced one. And while, yes, an older man with bad intentions can be bad for a younger girl, the same is true of young men with bad intentions. The "best" player I ever met was 22. Hot young guys can burn through 100 girls by age 20 and get plenty skilled at manipulation. That game gets harder when you're 50, not easier. Being a "creepy old guy" is harder than being a toxic hot boy. I'd also argue that older men with bad intentions are also bad for older women. To the extent that older women are harder to con, a lot of times that just means they expect and count on high-level "game." I find most women my age impossible to communicate with, because they have 15 years of baggage. Double-text once or give off a whiff of unconfidence and they're gone. You almost HAVE TO be a master manipulator to play the mind games of a jaded older woman. I also find the "I slept with bad boys for 15 years and now me and my last two eggs are looking for an ATM to settle down with" behavior extremely off-putting. That's not every woman in her 30s, but it is awfully telling that mone of them gave me the time of day until, magically at 30, "Heyyy, I remember you." The girl in the story was obviously actively seeking out older guys. There are a bunch of reasons why she might do that. Maybe she's been pressured too many times by younger guys with no self control. Maybe she finds the younger guys boring to talk to. Maybe she just likes money. I'll tell you the first two are the reasons why my partner (trans guy btw, which is why I'm saying partner and not gf) is done with guys in their 20s. Sometimes a girl wants a guy with something to offer besides dick. The population of ambitious, respectful young men with bright futures and social skill is very slim now. Things were different when the 22yo guy was shopping for houses, had seen action in Iwo Jima, and didn't know what anime was.
@@JETZcorp oh, so you are in your ‘dirty old man’ phase. Gen Z is the generation the most against age gap relationships. You only want it to be this way because you are an older man who is into younger people.

I dated a girl who was 19 when I was 32. I didn't feel like that was a problem, except the one we talked politics because the presidential debate was on, and I realized she was immensely clueless that the now-current president is a total gangster - because she was too young when the guy was president and doing his crookery. Outside of that, I could talk and relate to her just fine. She was pretty intelligent and very nice, on her first year of Law School. The real issue which nuked that relationship was simple - all our dates were foodie calls. They were always fast, and I never got to enjoy an entire day alongside her. My mother realized this first, but I decided her a last chance and we arranged to go out together on a holiday and spend a day together. I made clear we would spend the day together. I was planning for us to have dinner, have fun and conversation, then go somewhere more... intimate. Well, she makes me buy her expensive picanha for dinner, then she dives with some "University groupwork" excuse. Aaaand that was pretty much it for that relationship. The problem here wasn't her age, but the fact I got love-bombed by a Foodie Call girl. It's a pity. She seemed like such a nice girl. If she had really been who she seemed, we might have been together even today. Its sad, and since then, I have been really paranoid about foodie call types.

I still have my active imagination, but I can focus it now
@sr.favopossodeixarvaziosim4595 I am 26 soon and I hope I get that too, but I had to actually get help and start medicating for this. About the same thing you describe, but maybe worse. Got divorced at 30. First girl I went out with after the divorce was 19. I was set up by a friend through the girls mother (who was aware of my age and ok with it). Wasn’t interested at first because of the age difference but friends convinced me to give her a chance to at least get back out there after being in a relationship for the last decade. Cute girl, smart, common interests (gaming, anime) but different life stages. I had a career, mortgage, all that. She was worried about… midterms. Age gaps _can_ work but the stage of life you’re in matters more than anything. Only lasted a couple months, then it fizzled out. Next gf was older (24) but was an alcoholic. Girl after that was 27, recently divorced (husband cheated), no kids, masters degree, decent job, gamer. Wifed her up after 2 years. Currently sitting next to her in bed as she’s embroidering. Totes fine. Relationship? Hard pass. I'd rather be with someone near my age..

I can tell you as someone who is 32 that when I was 19, I didn't actually know as much as I thought. Mentally speaking, someone in their 30s is way different than those who are 19. People who are 19 still act like they are in high school and don't know better.

11 years isn't a big deal. When you're 80 she'll be 69, which seems like a small difference at that point.
69, nice.
yep, that definetly happened 😆
That's not every woman in her 30s, but it is awfully telling that mone of them gave me the time of day until, magically at 30, "Heyyy, I remember you."
The girl in the story was obviously actively seeking out older guys.
