My husbands grandparents are from Iowa, but moved to San Diego back in the 50’s. Fast forward 60 years, and now my husband and I are looking to relocate our family of 4 to Iowa! Your videos are very helpful! I have never been, and my husband hasn’t been since he was a teenager!
@@timnewman1172 I am living in a rural area and I absolutely love it. Too much crime from Chicago and MN moving into our state and they tend to go where there is more opportunity for crimes. I used to travel to Mason City in the evening to shop and work, but now I will not go after dark. Their crime has increased significantly. Our community of 3k is much more safe and quiet. Our schools are very good and community involvement is very strong. The only drawback is the lack of shopping and eateries. We have to drive about 20 mins east to go to McDonalds etc. I hope our town does not grow too much in the future.
I live in north central Iowa and I appreciate your commentary and videos about other places in the state as I really don’t travel to places I’m not familiar with. You mentioned that you had gone to Mapleton to help after their tornado; their is a guy that has a TH-cam channel called Trucking with Schmidt and he lives in Mapleton. Thought you might get a kick to see how the area has been redone. He lost his home as well, but has a new house now. Thanks
There are sports teams that are lower ranked but pro. Many AAA BASEBALL, AA BASEBALL, HOCKEY, ARENA FOOTBALL, SOCCER AND BASKETBALL. They provide a lot of jobs in the state as well as entertainment.
So I was just hired on with black hawk hotel and will be working at a few of there different locations like Bix Bistro , city loafer , and the sky bar. Maybe I'll see you around sometime!
I-88:is an example. Why is I-88 not a free road all the way from the quad cities to Chicago? You have to pay tolls once you get to Dixon Illinois on the way to Chicago , but from Dixon to the quad cities it’s free. 🤔🤷♂️
Iowa, one of my options if one day I will live or make an exchange in US,i m Christian, and I like to go to church on Sundays,so I don't like so much CA or WA states tha are kind of hell, and Iowa don't look boring to me, I see many nice things to do,just two real problems I see,Tornados oMG I never have problems with that things, and violence is kind of growing in Iowa...
We would love to have you here! Tornados definitely happen but they are not an every day occurrence. I have lived here for 30 years and have yet to actually see a tornado myself.

That's awesome! I can't wait you have you here. Let me know if you have any questions about the area.
Stay close to one of the populated areas, rural Iowa is nothing like it used to be!

What year was this made.? Those gas prices are insane. I have been up and down the Nort East and only seen the highest over 5 in like CT and NY.
This was made in 2022.

Those are definitely some great spots to go to. I also really enjoy the Yellow River State Forest. Have you been there?

I live on a farm, and I can no longer have a garden due to spray drift from the neighbors!
I'm sorry to hear that. I have heard of that happening before. This may be something I should speak about in future videos.
