Of all the gazillion tutorials I’ve watched yours are my favorite. Perfect speed, clear instructions , easy to see your stitches and you always sound so calm. Thanks!
I love the clarity of your videos. The way you take your time and show each stitch clearly and wholely. Your fingers are never covering the stitches you refer to. I love it 😍 it makes it so clear and to understand. Thank you. 🤩
Thank you so much for your kind words! I try my best to go slow for beginners as well as try and keep my videos in focus without covering up the stitches. :)
I have crocheted for a while. I haven't worked this particular stitch lately thank for the refresher. I'm working on some cat mats just did one in the grit stitch and wanted one a little thicker too. Gifting to my cousin who has a cat that will enjoy them.
Thank You Amanda for this step by step CLOSE UP. I really like close up's, because it's easier to see .Exactly where to place your hook and make the stitch.
I love this stitch! I have started a baby blanket and it's coming out beautiful. Thank you for your very clear instructions! You are so easy to listen to and you always show the stitches perfectly.
My favourite stitch for scarfs and blankets. The blanket stitch is similar, but I prefer the Suzette stitch. Instead of skipping two stitches for the blanket stitch, we only skip one. Both have a lovely zigzag pattern. Thanks. Your tutorials are clear and easy to follow. Hug from Tasmania 💕
I just finished an entire afghan using this stitch. I used 2 Caron Anniversary Cakes and a 6mm hook. It took me about 4 days. I learned this stitch elsewhere on TH-cam and they were calling it something else. It is this exact same stitch tho. I really love it... in addition to the afghan, I've also made 2 baby blanket, a hat, and a couple scarfs using it. It's one of those ones you can do while watching tv or TH-cam!
Great video! For a future video I’d love to see one on the Beautiful Shell stitch. There are a few out there, but most don’t explain it in a way new crocheters can accurately absorb. Thank you
@@AmandaCrochets I’m sorry for not being more specific. The Beautiful Shell stitch is done like a Granny Square and not it rows. I think that’s why I can’t quite get it.
Now I know what you’re talking about! Yes, I’ve seen how beautiful that pattern can be. I haven’t tried it yet myself, but now I feel like I need to put it on my to crochet list!
you all prolly dont care but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
I love the way this looks and I can’t believe I’ve been doing it completely wrong every time I’ve tried it! I never completed anything with it cause it never looked good and now I know why. I wonder if I brain is screwed in right, lol. TY for this video, I’m on it now! Btw, I appreciate the samples you made💜
@@AmandaCrochets I just looked through my scarves and it appears that I had already applied this beautiful stitch to a few of them. *I really need to memorize more stitch names. I know quite a few but this one escaped me.* In any case, I'm still very grateful to you Amanda. 🌹
Hi. I love your clear and in debth tutorials from the types of hooks to use, yarn and stitches, your teaching is very precise of ALL the what ifs/can I use, lol!. Do you make baby hats, booties and mittens? If so, can you do turials on those? I have a hard time following other ones as they are not very good tutorials.
Thanks for these instructions, infact I have a twin blanket using Lion brand Mandala yarn. I started with 210 chains and it is purples, very beautiful.
I actually have a baby hat using this stitch. However, I have a sizing chart to make this hat from newborn-adult. Search my channel for “Suzette baby hat” 😊🧶
Hello, I have seen this stitch done just a bit differently. I saw a video where the sc/dc Are in the top of the DC, not the sc from the previous row as in your video. That one was called the suzette st as well.

I love this stitch , so easy and the edges stay straight you don’t even need a boarder . I love the lemon peel stitch too
I'm glad you enjoyed this stitch just as much as I did. The lemon peel stitch is another good one :)

Oh how interesting! I know when it comes to crochet stitches they can have similar names and techniques to complete them :)
I would like to use this stitch what is the best size needle to use for NICE scarf.
Depends on the yarn you're using. I suggest looking at the ball band and see what crochet hook they recommend using.
I just watched your Grit stitch video. This appears to be the same??
This is a very similar stitch 😊
@@AmandaCrochets..what is the difference between the Grit stitch and the Suzette stitch?

Can I make this with a thicker chenille yarn. For a blanket?
Yes, you can use any yarn you’d like!
Even number of chain. 100 or 110
You can use either 100 or 110 as they’re both even numbers.
