I think that the positive vibe coming from the people attending the workshop is great. I think that alot of the reasons that they are attending this workshop is because they are followers of this you tube channnel. It seems like they are there #1 to help and #2 learn a skill. "Humanity is being restored in the building of this home!" Its really cool to see.
I can't express how much I'm enjoying following this. Jesse and Alyssa, thank you for sharing your journey. I am an old country boy, who, unfortunately, cannot do this type of work anymore. It really blesses me to watch so many people working together towards a common goal. Praying for you all daily.
I think one of the main reason I continue to watch these videos, is the fact that when the stress level goes up, the weather gets increasingly worse. Jesse and Alyssa attitude picks up! it seems they smile more and crack more jokes. Its a great role model for all of us when we face adversity in whatever we are facing. You have a choice on how you react to the world around you. And quit frankly, that is all you really can control.
I've been getting up early to check TH-cam every day, because since the Shelter crew arrived things have really been going fast. I'm on the edge of my seat through each video. Thank you so much for filming your journey and sharing it with us.
Love watching the video and all the people working to help build the frame. Want to shout out that Levi is doing a fantastic job too. Everyone looks like they are enjoying this workshop.
UGGGHHHHH it stopped right at an assembly of a joint...yall killing me with anticipation. BUT, I'm seriously loving it. Notice how the students are so involved in working the one joint. LOVE THIS ! ! !
It looks so good, you guys have done a great job. The people from the Shelter Institute have done such great work, few builders have the skills to teach great skills like this. I hope to take one of there classes in the next few years. Please let the Shelter Institute know that there work is loved by many. I hope your videos will guide more people to learn from the Shelter Institute. Can't wait to see the next video.... Be safe and know that you are very lucky to have each other. Please let Levi know that he did a great job covering the build, you can tell he did a lot of work to help show the work being done by all the people on the build. Allysa you have been doing a great job on the videos. Thank you for taking the time to show us the work it take to build a great home....
This is getting really exciting now as we begin watching it go together, then the video ends and leaves us in suspense, and now can't wait until tomorrow to see more........
I've been following your timber frame build for several weeks and it's fascinating! It's exciting to see all of the prep work on the land, concrete work, garage walls, etc. and then all the work on the timbers themselves--and now it's finally culminating in the build itself. I'm always bummed when the videos end. Thanks so much for showing the step by step journey you've been on to put your home together. I initially found the channel because I was looking into the possibility of creating my own lumber from real trees, instead of spending several fortunes on buying lumber. Jesse's initial exploration of the WoodMizer and eventual growth into an expert sawyer and miller has been amazing. I've really enjoyed seeing you push through all obstacles to achive your dream. Very exciting. VWD to all of the people involved in this project. The Shelter folks are stunningly experienced and real treasures.
Another excellent video, brings back memories. So many great people in the class along with Jesse, Alyssa and the Shelter Institute. Amazing what can be done in 5 days.
I'm considering heading over to my nearest Wal-Mart or Target, laying down in the toys isle and throwing a wailing spoiled-brat tantrum. I want to see how this workshop turned out so badly that I'm checking for new videos several times a day. Thank you for sharing this journey with us, I'll go work on my patience.
Sharing the work load out to those that what to build there own in the future is good as every one learns and when it time to pull it all together you can all team up once again in more builds every one looks like they are enjoying the learning process and becoming great friendship are forming
Wow, watching this all come together is amazing and it is great watching how it all is getting done so quickly. Even the rain couldn't dampen the spirits of the group. It is so much fun and now watching it as it goes together and up is something i am truly looking forward to. Such a great group, and the Shelter Institute crew is doing nothing short of fantastic.
I've really been enjoying the Timberframe videos. The quality is very good and I like the interview style that your Canadian friend has. At first I started to really anticipate the next video, but I'm sure it takes extra time to make such good episodes. I've taken to watching them twice to catch what I missed the first time and help me wait until the next one comes out. It is really a testament to all the arduous prep work you two did that things seem to be going so smoothly. Thanks so much!!
Agreed! Lots of comments saying how they are leaving because of videos not posted but the frame was raised. There are many times movies and television shows leave us hanging (cliff hangers) and leave us on the edge of our seats for a reason. That is when you know you have captured an audience and it is great! It is their build and their story and only happens once in a lifetime. A lot of thought, hard work, and preparation has went into the production of these videos of the journey along the way! Besides - it is not the destination, but the journey that makes it worthwhile!
I really appreciated several parts in this episode: the transition between the first scene and the group workshop, Bob's umbrella (go Bob!), and Levi saying, "You look nice!" While Jesse's head steams.
Loved, loved, loved this video. Levy is doing such a great job. I have loved all of the videos. The process of building this frame house is so fascinating. Can't wait for the next video.
I agree, it makes a very big difference. Many people who aren't used to working out in the elements tend to shut down and mistakes happen....I always hear people saying , we're not going out there in that weather are we!my reply, how else are you going to learn how to build an igloo lol...In the military like many other outdoor occupations it didn't matter if it was pissing rain or a blizzard you knew you were still going down range....
I hope that you keep the series going to the end. By that I mean I want to see everything until the house is done and you are living in it. I know it will be a lot to share but I have been there from the start. Please say you will keep doing it for your fans. you and everyone are doing a super job thank you for your time and hard work..
OOOOOOHHHHHhhhhhhhh - Alyssa!!! That was cruel and unusual punishment!! Just as the oil went white in the scarf joint from being squeezed into home position - just as the post was about to slide home and the braces go tight....! My heart breaks! This is what I was waiting for - and you cut me off! Lol! Teasing - but man! I love these videos... "The beatings will continue until morale improves!" That moment was so cool! The level of camaraderie, after all that stress of learning, press of the incoming inclement weather... And still you guys are razzing each other, having the time of your lives! Brings back fond memories of my own past. Not post & beam structures, but team efforts all the same. It as a beautiful, beautiful thing. I'm already looking for Part 2 of this one, Alyssa! :-) Thank you so much for pouring the "above & beyond" into this so you can share it with us.
You always pick the perfect background music for the non-dialog scenes. It reminds me of a movie soundtrack about an epic adventure (which I guess this is).
Soooo happy💃😆👐! Have I thanked you for sharing this with us lately? Thank you! Hurrah and high fives to Shelter crew, shelter class timber rockers, Jesse, Alyssa, Mom, Dad and everyone working so hard to help a dream come true! Thank you Levi for doing the vids! I'm so grateful to be able to cheer from NM! Wish I was there, but maybe soon another opportunity will come to help someone out!
Just checked the weather for Idaho. That's a first, and it's your fault for having a great channel! It's going to be freezing, but you have some chance of avoiding the rain and snow. Fingers crossed for you guys! You should attach clamps to the frame of the garage-in-a-box to secure your tarp against the wind! (long time flee marketer advice)
Just a few grand in gear and you too could be a videographer . . . for shame. He happens to have some nice equipment, but he'd be doing quality work with something less fancy because he has talent. Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc. do not sell talent.
No worries D Sloop. I would love for them to explain the cuts more and where the pieces fit in. Maybe after the frame is up, they will put out a more detailed series. maybe. hopefully.
Great video, great group of folks, if something does not fit just right folks blame it on the rain swelling the wood up. Congrats to all the students and the folks from the Shelter.
Working so well as a team how amazed I am people from different warps off life come together to help this lovely couple out and to learn along the way and for the institute must be so happy they can show how good they are on site I so wish I could off been involved like many others would agree but unfortunately I can’t I lost my wife to cancer in January this year she had cancer for 8 years and 2 months ago my 7 year old girl got diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemo just like her Mum did fingers crossed this will have a different outcome but you guys have gave me something positive to watch through this horrible journey off ours so keep up the amazing work thank you very much
Hi Guys! Wonderful job you guys... Always wanted to build my own. Maybe a helpful tidbit... Watched the amount of time you spent sharpening chisels. When your done sharpening, if you have a bench grinder you can polish the tips using a red rouge on a polishing wheel. It will all but eliminate drag and keep the tips sharp longer. Think about the difference running your hand along a non polished car vs. a highly polished one. Works well on razor blades too...
I am so glad that I got know this channel and this great project. Those are really heavy strong beams. I am here to learn. I had assumed that building with light gauge steel would be an easy obvious choice. Ignore me please. Just thinking with 'mouth' open here in Nairobi.
I think that the positive vibe coming from the people attending the workshop is great. Made me cry with how you all worked as a team. Well done!

Love watching the video and all the people working to help build the frame. Want to shout out that Levi is doing a fantastic job too. Everyone looks like they are enjoying this workshop.
The start of the frame assembly at the end of the video brought a real smile to my face! Much anticipation!
Special people, special project, exceptional results. Then...shelter folks are hero’s! And we viewers are cheering from the “sidelines”...
At this point in the journey this has to be the best story going up on TH-cam! Hurry, the snow is coming.
For the night is dark and full of tenons..
Winter is coming
UGGGHHHHH it stopped right at an assembly of a joint...yall killing me with anticipation. BUT, I'm seriously loving it. Notice how the students are so involved in working the one joint. LOVE THIS ! ! !
Fan...Fantastic team work. It's great to see how everyone's working together Levi's filming, Ma and Pa's Cafe. It's all marvelous. Thanks for sharing.

You can take classes for free, Timber Frame Guild....They are like Habitat for Humanity...
There is no guild in Windsor, Ontario that I could find. Thanks for the info and I like Shelter Institute way of teaching.
I have my mug of tea for breakfast and settle to watch
What an amount of work it’s really mind blowing. Timbers look amazing.
This is getting really exciting now as we begin watching it go together, then the video ends and leaves us in suspense, and now can't wait until tomorrow to see more........
This is the BEST reality TV!
Jesse - 100% respect from the UK for a Monty Python reference with coconut shell's - any swallows in your region? You are seeking the Holy Grail!

So very glad I subscribed to this! This is real reality tv! Awesome teamwork and so inspirational!

Lol..... another Walmart person to go viral!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sharing the work load out to those that what to build there own in the future is good as every one learns and when it time to pull it all together you can all team up once again in more builds every one looks like they are enjoying the learning process and becoming great friendship are forming
What a cliff hanger ending. Guaranteed to tune in for the next video! Just beautiful and...wow!
'Steaming Gel' - so funny! It was so cool to see that first brace joint going together! Exciting!
Maybe Levi should make a tv mini series out of these videos. Great work everyone!
I wish you guys could have made a 2 hour video of this...i can't get enough..feels like victory😁
Wow - great video with 1/2 a day of progress. Cannot wait to see the frame section fully assembled and the looks on everyone's faces!
Seriously... that cinematography work. Great work! And that BOKEH!
Looking forward to part II and ultimately seeing this thing go up against the weather adversity of the weather.
Levi, your editing is spot on and the music is epic. This is soooooo exciting. Excellent work!
Alyssa is the editor in chief

love that you guys, jesse and alysa have retained you sense of humor
i love levi's videoing, narration and editing...
Haven’t had this kind of cliff hanger, sense I was a kid, at the movies back in the 50’s..
Great videos, can’t wait until the next episode.

Jessica Mckinney das my uncle. 🤗
IT IS ALL COMING TOGETHER. REALLY, REALLY LOVE IT SO GREAT.
Another great video, thanks! Also excellent alluring "leader" to next episode! This is great stuff.
Loved, loved, loved this video. Levy is doing such a great job. I have loved all of the videos. The process of building this frame house is so fascinating. Can't wait for the next video.
Those timbers are beautiful!
It's one thing to do this in a somewhat controlled environment building, it's another thing to do this onsite in the weather..... Awesome job!
What a great couple working together
I LOVE CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOVE UR SCREEN PIC!!!!!!!!!!
I love seeing the male and female joint parts being made. The presentation is epic. Real great.
Amazing work team. So happy for you that the frame is up, the Shelter team and the 'class' were fantismal.

The last 10 seconds was a huge teaser for what's to come! Post the next one let the video flood gates open.

Thank you so much for pouring the "above & beyond" into this so you can share it with us.
It's exciting to see the pieces fit together!
I love the camaraderie thanks for sharing y'all!!
"The beatings will continue till morale improves!" I will remember that for the rest of my days. lol
I've worked at places like that!
Awesome video, what a leap towards the finish line.

That oiled wood is sooooo beautiful!! Noooo it ended too soon!! 😱
nice to see that there is a real team growing ... :o) GO FOR IT !!!!!!
Another very well put together video well plan ending. Playing in the ran Jesse and Alyssa have practice at that. Things are moving along very good.
WOW! It's coming along nicely! :)
Hey kids, in my opinion, this is going exceedingly well. You have a herd of hard working humans who also know how to laugh and have a ball.. Good job.
You always pick the perfect background music for the non-dialog scenes. It reminds me of a movie soundtrack about an epic adventure (which I guess this is).
wvmontani it was as EPIC as the music makes it feel
way cool to see the bent going together at the end. well done.
Soooo happy💃😆👐! Have I thanked you for sharing this with us lately? Thank you! Thank you for posting all these videos! So fun to watch!
All of you guys deserve an applause, great video, keep it up,there IS light at the end of the tunnel.
I am loving the footage! I live in the same area and work outdoors and can totally appreciate what you guys are doing in the weather. Keep it up!
Amazing group of people. This is such a great journey to follow. With I could have done it.
Love Levi's happy attitude. Gotta subscribe...
Amazing! Congrats to the people of the schelter. Speachless!😰😰😰

The video guy really makes a difference his video,s are excellent quality..

You can understand why he sleeps with his lenses🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love the video and watching g everyone come together, learning new things in life is awesome to see. Levi did awesome job on this video like always.
OMGosh... that final shot. that connection of 5 timbers in to one? WONDROUS!
Teasing us until the next video
2 ridge, 2 cross braces and 1 support beam. but, either way....
the long beam (ridge), is two beams attached using a scarf joint. 2 cross bases and 1 support beam
No worries D Sloop. I would love for them to explain the cuts more and where the pieces fit in. Maybe after the frame is up, they will put out a more detailed series. maybe. hopefully.
Very simple and complex at the same time. Well done
I really enjoy seeing how everything is coming together. I look forward to your videos every day and have even watched some twice.
Great video, great group of folks, if something does not fit just right folks blame it on the rain swelling the wood up. Congrats to all the students and the folks from the Shelter.
Best wishes from Mareeba, Australia... CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL...
I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT, STOP TEASING ME!
Those are some beautiful scarf joints. Will Gabe come and help me do mine? Ha Ha. Looking great guys. keep up the good work.
Exciting times! I've been in the kiln drying business for nearly 25 years, we don't oil the ends we use a wax but I've also never timber framed.
Thanks Levi, great filming, really enjoyed it.
You will do it! Thanks for sharing. Another excellent video.
Love the fun times lately
Working so well as a team how amazed I am people from different warps off life come together to help this lovely couple out and to learn along the way and for the institute must be so happy they can show how good they are on site I so wish I could off been involved like many others would agree but unfortunately I can’t I lost my wife to cancer in January this year she had cancer for 8 years and 2 months ago my 7 year old girl got diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemo just like her Mum did fingers crossed this will have a different outcome but you guys have gave me something positive to watch through this horrible journey off ours so keep up the amazing work thank you very much
Wow! More team work in every video! Amazing guys!
YES !!! Something is going together. So happy to c that.
Good looking beams. Color looks great.
Awesome video!I was very entertained the whole time, keep up the good work!!

I love that view in the opening shot.
Nice can’t wait to see the next one. seen it there this morning had to wait all day to watch it Lois like you all had fun
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Great job on everything, and want a terrific bunch of people. Thanks for another great video. 👍👍🇺🇸
Merry Christmas and a happy new year for 2018 to you both
This is fantastic!!! Levi! Bob!
Square, plumb and true...
We will see.
These videos are great! Good job Levi!
God Bless the 2 of you for all the people that y’all have help.
I am so glad that I got know this channel and this great project. Those are really heavy strong beams. I am here to learn. I had assumed that building with light gauge steel would be an easy obvious choice.
Ignore me please. Just thinking with 'mouth' open here in Nairobi.
Love the adventurous background music....
Tom Sramek, Jr. where do they get their music from?
I love the cliffhanger...
