Alyssa, your mom is taking the video production to another level. Love the camera angles that she comes up with. Of course the addition of the many drone shots is awesome as well.
Jessy, your comment," it takes an army to keep an army running." in the military, there is seven people for one combat infantryman. it does take an army.
Probably the coolest video so far. I love the wood chips flying at the camera coming from the plainer. Excellent reference (she’s a Swiss Army Knife). EngrAve that on a gold locket with your pictures. Valentines gift. I’m really impressed. I can see in your facial expressions. You’re more relaxed, satisfied with all you’ve accomplished. You really should do a Calendar shoot. I’m really enjoying this Adventure.
Sooo Enjoying seeing this come together, and so thankful too that the wx cooperated - the gamble paid off. Love seeing Alysssa's folks diving right in to it all. What an unbelievable amount of work. Timber framing should come with a disclaimer - NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART !
I find myself clicking on your videos first above all other channels I am subscribed too nowadays. Makes me think you two are doing something right/good :)
So exciting to see all this happen, what a great family! There are so many types of professions in all this for your future. You need never be confined to an office 8 to 5! Thanks for blessing all your fans! Glad Alyssa's hair was up some, still praying for your safety. Mrs CB
Been watching you guys since the hot tub build and scratching my head about what you all were going to be doing with this channel. Glad you have made this much progress. Your work and videos are enjoyable to watch. Good job to everyone!
Wow! What an awesome job! I've been following your videos since the beginning. I'm getting more and more excited every day to see your progress. Here in Germany the videos are getting released early in the morning. To see you guys pulling these long days and working that hard is my good morning inspiration! Keep up this amazing project! All the best to all of you guys. Stay healthy an safe.
The work ethic of everyone on this project is so amazing. Yall are like the energizer bunny, keeps going and going and going. I know you appreciate the look of your new house. You will enjoy it for years to come.
Great job you two. It encourages me to see such a young couple that is extremely focused. I hope to meet you all sometime in the near future. We have been looking at property in northern ID this past summer. We are finally leaving Alaska to be near the grandkids.
You are fortunate to have so many enthusiastic and caring folks there to help in the final stretches of timber workshop prep! Especially your family! When it is all done your home will have lots of love and good energy in it! :)
It is so cool that your instructor from the Shelter Institute Timber Framing intensive is there with you on your home build, and that you'e made it into a class project. Smart.
A well organized video. The suspense is building and you give a wonderful description of what it takes to prepare for a timber frame workshop. I can hardly wait to see subsequent videos.
Nice drone logging truck machine video Alyssa’s dad! I love watching that logging truck unload no idea why lol Pat’s inspiring. Hope I’m in his shape when I’m 70. Major big help having Alyssa’s parents there and Anna. Not sure you would have made it without them and Pat getting there early.
Awesome to see a plan come together! I know how hard it is to plan far in advance and then hope everything comes together. Very proud and happy for you all!
Greetings from the Canary Islands (Spain), I follow you for a while and your project and work in common seems impressive. I encourage and continue, although I do not speak English I love to see you almost every day. Warm greetings.
That is cool the driver brought extra logs since the cost will be the same regardless. Not everyone would have put the extra work in. Nice! There must be another project in the future. It has been remarkable watching your videos and the tenacity. Well done! Inspiring indeed.
Joy Freed I'm pretty sure that the actual extra logs costed more, it's just the trucking or shipping of the logs would've costed the same. I do trucking and some logging. The costs the same if you have one log on the trailer or for a full load. But you would still have to pay extra for the extra logs.
Way to go TEAM! My Goodness, you are all so very Blessed that you have the members of your family and Shelter Institute all working alongside each other and doing an AMAZING JOB!! We wish we were there with you but we have so many projects ourselves and four kids that it just wasn't possible! Maybe in retirement we will have such an wonderful opportunity!
Talk about phenomenal..... this video (and your others) are amazing. The footage, editing, everything is amazing. It makes me feel like I'm on this journey with you guys. Thank you so much for sharing. It's great that everyone is there helping out. Mom is doing what moms do.....keeping everyone fed and hydrated (very important). Anna is a WORK HORSE. She is amazing!!! She just jumps right in there. Jesse, you are wasting away man..... you can't even keep your pants up anymore. I can't wait to see more, vids and as always, God Bless and Keep.
I have butterflies in my stomach with excitement watching the speed difference between 2 people and 5 people. Then the speed will go up in incraments as the workshop progresses.
This is as impressive as it gets. The monotony is shared, the exhilaration is shared, the concern is shared and the positivity all combine in making this real life journey an epic adventure. Needless to say, I love what you're doing, everything with the vids and the people and the job etc etc. Hollywood is going to want to do a reenactment; just make them pay and don't let them muddy it like they do with everything else at the box office. People want pure living for life.
I feel happy at the same time tears flows by see the community is so closely knit.. All come together to help, it's not a small thing it shows the maturity of the nation and the people. Nice to see so full of activity like having a marriage function.
Most of the other channels I follow might upload vids once month and very lucky if some of them upload weekly....Everyone says its a lot of work+editing.
can you imagine what it would have been like for the many pioneers who did this by hand, with crosscut saws, axes, skidding with horses or mules and no big machines for log moving? THEN they had to cut/notch all the logs by hand?
I've been subscribed to your channel for quite a while, and have been watching your videos even longer. I believe this is my first comment, I can't be certain but I believe this is. I just have to say, y'all are the coolest grooviest couple and couple of people I have ever seen! Unfortunately I have not had the pleasure meeting you, who knows maybe someday? Thank you, thank you so very much, for what you do and sharing it!!!
Brava guys Alissa you are a plaining goddess! Can't wait to see the final house, compleated you all have worked so hard you really need a break and take some time to enjoy the family and friends around.
I've been waiting till yippy posted before going to bed. Gotta keep up. Lol yay I'm so glad you're so close to your workshop. Been watching since day 1. Can stop watching . thank you for your dedication in keeping us in the loop. Even tho it's not real time most days. Waiting for next video hope to see some during the workshop. Deb
I need to build a house like this, here in Northwest Florida/South Alabama when a hurricane comes that's the house to be in..... Great work folks, Alyssa.... Safety glasses, Hearing protection!!! Love you guys
The camera work is great, but the editing is spectacular....and very time consuming. Your channel deserves every success as you clearly know you how to make a good video. This is a warning to TV channels with a massive budget etc etc...made for TV stuff sucks compared to this.
Jessie, you are one lucky dude.I wish my sisters were anything close to as helpful,or able to help as 'Lyssa, and Anne...Alyssa is a gladiator! She tough!
i saw a documentry about a swede who bought land, logs and build his own "wild west" themed house, took him i think around 3 years to mill and stuff ;D this kind of reminds me of this :D keep it up!, cheers from sweden !
Holy shit, did anyone see those massive bags Alyssa has under her eyes at 1:30 . You can tell that they are working as much as they can, hope the best for you guys and your house build.
Logistics and support are often two things that are under calculated in many projects. The Army, during WW2, calculated that for every soldier in the trenches, it took somewhere around 7 other people needed to minimally properly support that one soldier. You guys are kick'n it.
Titus Tucker I heard they went to the circus ppl. to see how they moved so much so fast. what the military did in those few years is amazing. all the ppl supply's. and even inventing the things they didn't have. and doing it so fast. it got us out of the depression though! ww2 changed the world!
The videos have been looking sooooo great! You guys are just amazing to watch & quite motivating! God bless you guys! Looking forward to seeing more! 🤗🤗
Greetings from Norway :) I love to watch your videos, and I'm impressed to see this house being built, all way from logs to house. But I belive there are a house standing there now, and some heat in it would be nice, so my suggersion is to use the bath tub, and the sirculating pump with the filter as boiler and pump, and put in some temporary pipes to connect it to the floor heat tubes. I belive that will make a hughe difference in the winther.
That music choice was incredible lol. Im always excited for your videos but never have i been so pumped to watch someone turn timbers lol. Some folks may not like it but hey its something different.
Alyssa, your mom is taking the video production to another level. Love the camera angles that she comes up with. Of course the addition of the many drone shots is awesome as well.
All that pine being cut, and saw dust everywhere, your yard must smell amazing ! Awesome.
Jessy, your comment," it takes an army to keep an army running." in the military, there is seven people for one combat infantryman. it does take an army.
PJ Barnes hooah, not a single of the 7 POG had the balls of the grunt.
Love the shot of Dad taking the chips for the team!!!! Wow, only a parents love!
So awesome seeing a family working together to build a house. Cant wait to see the timbers go up.

I love how involved your parents are in the process!! I’m so glad you guys have the extra help! Keep it up

Matthew Weare I click on them as soon as they come in so's they can get to the next one sooner :-) :
Jesse's sister is awesome could go anywhere do anything. Just shows up and pitches in

Absolutely loving the quality of the footage. Your folks did a mighty fine job with the cameras!
A well organized video. The suspense is building and you give a wonderful description of what it takes to prepare for a timber frame workshop. I can hardly wait to see subsequent videos.

Anna is a professional driver! When this is done you could have a business making timber homes. You'll have the tools and know how.
Annas like "Whatever bro, tent and bag in the freezing cold" Just another day!
Michael Kaylor Anna's a bad ass fur sure!
Alyssa, the Swiss Army Knife of this build, so true!
A fabulous edit, great content and even better people. Watching you all work in such harmony is beautiful. Your best video to date by far!
Awesome to see a plan come together! I know how hard it is to plan far in advance and then hope everything comes together. Very proud and happy for you all!
I did 2 years of planning...Did the slab myself...Got a habitable home in 3 days of 3000 sqft...All together with just my muscle force.
Absolutely amazing how far you guys have come. Congratulations on all of the success. Can't wait for the next video
I think alyssa has become professional at editing these video's..good job alyssa !
More help, more people really makes the difference, so glad that things are on the up with time and people.

Can ONLY IMAGINE how crazy this is!! You guys came ALONG WAY
After 38 yrs in the woods it is fun to see the log trucks again.
i gotta say, since mom started doing video the quality has stepped up.
That is cool the driver brought extra logs since the cost will be the same regardless. Not everyone would have put the extra work in. Nice! There must be another project in the future. It has been remarkable watching your videos and the tenacity. Well done! Inspiring indeed.

Nice to see so full of activity like having a marriage function.
Mohammed Aslam i dont if this is a good example of altruism, they are running a workshop where participants pay to learn how to timberframe.
Wow this couple is amazing! They kick ass. And uploading all the time, awesome!
Most of the other channels I follow might upload vids once month and very lucky if some of them upload weekly....Everyone says its a lot of work+editing.

It's really great that you have all that sawdust and shavings to keep the mud to a minimum.
Holy shit, did anyone see those massive bags Alyssa has under her eyes at 1:30 . You can tell that they are working as much as they can, hope the best for you guys and your house build.

More awesome teamwork. Blessings.
