When the 1st Guardians Of The Galaxy film came out I had little expectations when I went to see it since they were the Marvel characters I knew the least about prior to seeing them on the big screen. I ended up loving the 1st film, the 2nd film, & the 3rd film so much that to me it's the overall best/most consistent movie trilogy Marvel has made. I'd say my only complaint with this film is (similar with Darren Cross becoming M.O.D.O.K. then trying to redeem himself) Adam Warlock's development/redemption felt rushed; he was set up as this big threat, then he was comic relief, then confused about what he wanted after his mom died, & then he saves Star Lord & joined the Guardians at the end.
Nebula's reaction to finding out that Rocket is alive is great attention to detail. She spent 5 years alone with Rocket during the snap and became closer as friends.
I love how Gunn took a running gag, Rocket not knowing what a raccoon is, and turned it into a moment of growth and acceptance when he finally decides to go by his comic accurate name. Amazing.
Totally nailed it too, easily one of the best superhero name drops ever, Gunn is GOATed for the guardians trilogy, I kinda wish he could just makes gotg movies forever lol, such a lovable team and easily some of the most fun movies in the MCU and by far the movies with the most heart and emotion. This was truly the perfect send off for this guardians team we all love so much and for James Gunn in the MCU. Couldn’t have asked for a better more satisfying trilogy ender, they really knocked it out of the park with this movie. I now very much look forward to James Gunn’s DCU, hopefully we finally get the great DC universe on screen that so many of their iconic characters deserve and that the fans have been asking for forever. MCU having some real competition would be good too, if the DCU is good like I bet it will be it’ll force the MCU to step up their game so DC doesn’t surpass them in quality and that’s a win win for us fans. Anyway my comment is a lot of rambling but in short it sucks losing this guardians team for good but it was a great send off for the characters and James Gunn in the MCU. “…. But not yet.” That line broke me. For some reason, that particular moment made me, a grown ass man, bawl my eyes out in the middle of a movie theater.
@@LK-VCH man animals are one of my weak spots too, especially like you said it, if animals getting hurt and tortured, it makes me angry and wanna do evil stuff to these garbage trash humans
Man of Steel and Batman V Superman was emotional but people were cruel and lack empathy.. After a series of too much humor by MCU, people appreciate emotional and sadness stuff more???
I love that they didn't do the predictable thing of having Gamora love Quill by the end of this movie. Cause we saw how hard it was for Quill to get her to like him. And she also was told all this knowledge about what happened in Infinity War which makes her different. It makes way more sense that by the end of this movie she's pry thinking "I dont love you, but I can see why a different version of me did."
Yeah I agree, I am very glad they didn't go with that cop out, I would even go as far as saying that I would consider it lazy writing if they did go that direction so I'm glad that they didn't.
Quill needed to think of her as the original Gamora's twin sister, instead of thinking of her as the same person. And by the end of the film, it seems like he finally made that leap.
@@jimmylu1352 Actually, he did know. James Gunn had been planning to kill Gamora off (because Zoe didn’t want to play her long-term), but he hadn’t figured out how to do it. According to what he said in an interview, the Russo brothers told him what they were planning to do, and they asked him if he could “work with that”, and he said he could.
By the end of the movie, you can see how much influence Peter Quill had on everyone. With the music and the dancing as well as all the pop culture he told them about.
Rocket screaming at Lylla's death was probably one of the hardest and most gut-wrenching movie scenes to watch, maybe ever. That scene left me feeling devastated and speechless. A feat not easily obtained by something I know isn't real.
That's how I felt...sometimes feel...about the loss of my mother. I wouldn't wish her a moment more of pain...but I still ache for her. And when she died. I remember feeling like I wanted to scream and never stop until the pain was gone.
I definitely agree although I think it hits really hard those scenes because that’s how animals have been and are still treated in life 😢 I’m glad Rocket made it but it’s such a heavy film I won’t be able to watch again
I think a large part of Adam's 'stupidity' is largely due to the fact that he's basically a child. Both from a chronological stand point, and like what Ayesha said, he was taken out of his pod early. There was probably a large part of development that the high evolutionary decided to skip during Adam's gestation process, likely where a lot of the inherent mental maturity would have occurred prior to his 'birth'. That remaining time likely would have been spent developing his mind or brain to match his physical age. So, he's basically an over grown child due to the high evolutionary's hastiness.
@@stephenseay3878 it's called character growth. Because he was not in the Avengers against Thanos he only starts now as an imperfect being that has to find his place. Such stuff is particularly needed with Superman characters or they are boring as all hell.
@@mangalores-x_x Exactly a young Adam finding himself and maturing with the guardians before becoming fully powerful is the best way to go about it, otherwise whats the use for everyone else.
I think what I like about Rocket is that even though his personality was always sarcastic and having walls, he always showed that he cared when he got comfortable with his people. In guardians 2, we can see his protectiveness over his friends show a lot and now we know why his personality is like that with this movie. I did cry when I went to watch this in the theaters 😭
@@dariusthegr8one81 winter soldier by itself does not carry the first avenger and civil war, those are good movies, winter soldier is fantastic, but arguably all 3 guardians movies were great, not just good
It's the fact that its still sincere and allows the emotional moments to actually hit you because they're not undercut by jokes, despite being the funniest marvel films
“Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now!” That horror when the phrase silences and doesn’t continue- and rocket realized he got revenge but his friends paid a price and never got to leave….. HEART. BREAKING.
Rocket’s backstory was the primary reason I enjoyed this movie. It’s funny how he was unconscious for majority of the movie, but undoubtedly stole the spotlight. This trilogy was the definition of heavy asf.😢
Lylla was portrayed by Linda Cardellini. She previously portrayed Hawkeye’s wife Laura. Nebula’s arm cannon reminds me of the upgraded Sentinels from X-Men: Days of Future Past. Ura was portrayed by Daniela Melchior. She was also Cleo Cazo/Ratcatcher in James Gunn’s Suicide Squad. Nathan Fillion was also Cory Pitzner/The Detachable Kid in that same film. At least Peter admitted to screwing up in Infinity War. I also thought I recognized the actor portraying Theel. Nico Santos portrayed Mateo Liwanag in Superstore. My favorite funny moment was Mantis’ powers in Orgocorp. Chukwudi Iwuji has said in several interviews that he doesn’t want us to empathize with the High Evolutionary. He genuinely wants us to hate him. I certainly do. It’s interesting because this is the first villain in a long time that we don’t have to empathize with. In the recent years, that has become the norm throughout most superhero films. My favorite fight scenes were Star-Lord and Groot gunslinging and then of course the Guardians fighting together one last time with No Sleep Till Brooklyn playing in the background. James Gunn confirmed that the High Evolutionary is still alive. They took him into custody on Knowhere. It’s all in a deleted scene. Gamora understandably wasn’t at her best in this film. I liked her the most in Volume 2 because she developed a motherly instinct towards Groot and reconciled with Nebula. At least Peter got to properly say goodbye to Gamora and gain some sense of closure. For me, Groot and Nebula were the highlights of this film. I never thought Nebula would have so much emotion, but I feel like in part it’s because she hung out a lot with Rocket during the blip since he was the only other active Guardian to survive. She even called him a friend right before entering the Orgoscope. As for Groot, he’s become much more reliable. He really surprised me with the ammo and the wings. It’s so cool that he could fly now, or at least glide. He also made me almost cry when he saw Peter freezing to death. The dude really is the heart of the squad. Drax also got some development. He only ever danced because that’s how he met his wife. After he lost her and their daughter, he refused to dance again. Now that he’s found fatherhood again, he can wave his hands in the air and not care about embarrassment. And finally, Come And Get Your Love by Redbone helps bring the Guardians’ journey full circle. Regarding the future of the Guardians, even though the whole team survived which is good news, the sad news is that this movie is still the last time we’ll see some of them. Dave Bautista said that he would like to move on to do some more dramatic roles. I also understand that having to sit still during makeup can be a hassle. Zoe Saldaña has also said this would be her last time portraying Gamora but would like to see her portrayed by someone else in the future. Personally I don’t see anyone else fit for the role. If we’re fortunate, maybe we’ll see her again for The Kang Dynasty and/or Secret Wars. Either way, Zoe is grateful for all the positive feedback on her portrayal especially from the female fan base. Karen Gillan did express interest in portraying Nebula again. I would personally hope so, because we’ve seen an immense amount of character development from her - especially with Volume 2, Endgame, and this film.
Well said! Nebula grown on me since Guardians 2. She just want a sister. I liked her even more in Endgame. Not sure i liked what Gunn did to Gamora's character, but at least Quill got closure in the end. I hoped they do the 4th installment, but in my heart they should just stop here. The ending is perfect.
Peter didn't screw up in Infinity War though. If he hadn't lost it when he did and the heroes had managed to get the gauntlet off of Thanos, Thanos would've won and half the universe would've been gone forever. Peter had to lose it in that moment for the one win out of 14 million to happen.
Now imagine High evolutionary had a tragic story as well, came from us, tortured by abusive parents. Now then you would empathize with him. So it's all about writting. And they wrote it all for Rocket origin.
I love that Chukwudi Iwuji said that it was hard for him to watch this because he is an animal lover himself and he actually despises what the HE does in the movie and he hated him as well, lol
i actually really loved what they did with "new" Gamora's story. her staying with peope who she already loved made way more sense that if she magically switched to her new friend group, even though she clearly warmed up to the guardians by the end. and when it comes to Quill, i'm sure that it'd be almost impossible to naturally fall in love with someone who already knows everything about you (but not really you), has his expectations and history with you.
This was one the best movie theater experiences of my life. The laughs, the tears, the pure joy. Incredible story. I still listen to the soundtrack everyday.
So something I had pointed out to me. During Rocket's escape from his cage and the High Evolutionary, we see Floor crying out "Rocket Teefs Floor go now!" over and over again. She's a rabbit. She's got her flight instincts programmed in to run away. It's part of rabbit psychology. But she stuck around for her friends, wanting them to come with. Also notice that Teefs literally can only blink when his cybernetics allow him to. His eyes are forced open.
Literally stopped everything I was doing just to watch this lovable pair. Seeing Rocket entering Heaven and seeing his friends again had me crying in theaters. Nikki crying at the same scene had me crying even more at her reaction. The best MCU trilogy in my opinion, A perfect finale for the Guardians.
James Gunn is an incredible filmmaker. He knows how to make an audience laugh, cry, and feel every blow in a fight scene. I recommend his film "Super." It's not a regular superhero film, but it has one of my favorite character stories of all time
I love Nebula more and more in each movie we saw her. She has grown a lot from a cold, distant, scared but wanting Thanos to loves her, to someone who have a family from her own choice and they'd die for her. Even though she still seems to be angry all the time, but she loves all of them. The way she gasped when she heard Rocket's voice say a lot🥺 And I like Adam too! He's like a nice boy in grown man body and he loves his pet!
I've seen Steven say "that was emotional" quite a few times, but I do believe this is the first time he's actually shown it in his face. You know it hits hard when even Steven gets teary eyed. I knew you guys would like this one.
Guardians had by far the best trilogy. Captain America didn't have the best starter, Iron Man didn't have the best part 2, Thor didn't have the best finisher. But GotG did not skip a beat. Punintended.
It's the best bc it's the only trilogy which you can enjoy even if you don't like the MCU and know the other movies. Thor only had one movie which would be good for a non fan, Iron Man had one good, one decent, one forgettable, and Captain America WERE all good but definitely not on the same level when it comes to straight out MOVIES
@@its_marse Yeah, it helped that Daniela Melchior was in the latest Fast & Furious, which came out just before this. So, she was fresh in my mind when I saw this in the cinema. As soon as she spoke, that confirmed it. I'm glad he finally got Fillion in properly too.
This movie is about surviving abusive parents. The treatment of rocket and his friends hits particularly hard, because they’re 100% emotional proxies for children. Like children who have never experienced anything, dreaming of a better life, with an emotionally and physically abusive foster father. Rocket and his friends act like 8 year olds in their naïveté and it’s gut wrenching to see them treated as they are. Drax was always meant to be a great dad… and he was lost and made dumb through the first two movies because his family was killed and he could no longer be a father. But he’s been dad jokes and clueless all along. Can’t talk about most of their child-parent issues without spoiling, but want to mention baby Groot, and literally watching him grow from child to adult over 3 movies, with a wonderful found family. And this movie explains Rocket’s love for prosthetics. Lyla’s arms, Teefs and Floor’s multiple prosthetics… he sees beauty in them and connection to his first friends.
The whole trilogy is about family, but this one specifically adds on a strong animal rights/animal liberation message too with regards to Rocket & The High Evolutionary
It’s shocking and amazing how much Gunn makes us care about these strange animals in such a short amount of time. Gets better and more emotional the more times I watch. Great 3rd film.
This movie brings me back to the first volume where Rocket mocks Drax for mourning his wife and daughter. When Rocket says “EVERYBODY’S got dead people!” hits much harder now knowing the family that he lost.
Tissues. So, so many tissues. I'm pretty sure I cried as much as you did, Nikki. The GOTG movies are quirky, hilarious, action-packed, with SO much heart, especially finally seeing Rocket's backstory. Seriously one of the best movies Marvel has ever put out. Great reactions you two!
that scene with chris pratt shouting "NO!!!" when rocket's pulse is gone had so much emotion.... it's like saying goodbye to the franchise...even with the saliva coming out with "I'm not letting him go"!! line has so much impact...a movie that is so balanced, that has comedy, action & drama... chef's kiss...
I’m usually a silent watcher but I had to comment. I’m surprised Nikki didn’t cry straight away. It felt like this film had me crying as soon as it started with ‘Creep’. Great reactions as always
My wife and I saw this today and both of us welled up at several scenes involving Rocket. What got me was the “Hurts” scene and when he found the cage of kits and realized he is a Raccoon. But I laughed my ass off when Pete told Nebula “Open the fucking door “
I watched this movie three times in the theater, loved it. The part that was subtle but sad for me was when Gamora finally understood Groot, and Groot's reaction to it. When he was baby groot, she was basically his mother.
Nikki went through exactly what I did. That movie had me a mess 😂 didn’t expect to feel all of that. James Gunn went out perfectly and the guardians movies will forever be loved and missed
This movie is just amazing and just perfect in so so many ways. The ending wraps up so many beautiful story’s and leaves you seeing exactly where you hoped all the of their journeys would take them.
this movie made me let out the ugliest cry for the first time in a theatre and i haven't even watched the first two. they did so well on making me feel connected w these characters. the jokes never missed, action sequences were so cool and the emotional scenes really got me. easily my favorite mcu movie (sorry spiderman no way home)
yeah Lyla Floor Teffs and Rocket are so Adorable they deserve to see skies together i cried and took 2 weeks for me to recover about what happened to Rocket's friends.
One bit some folks miss near the end is that the High Evolutionary makes a big deal of having “turned some portion of [his] genius” towards himself and mastering gravity (the power he uses throughout the movie)… but Rocket used gravity traps in the second movie, and is testing out his gravity boots (that the Guardians use on the Orgoscope) early in the film. So when he is pinned to the ceiling by the HE he just reaches down and flips on his boots to cancel out the High Evolutionary’s power. He was better than the High Evolutionary, again.
Oh boy, this movie had me crying my eyes out a few times. P.S. They filmed the Holiday Special in between making Volume 3, which James Gunn said was a nice release to step away from the heaviness of this movie.
I was watching the live stream but fell asleep halfway through because of how late it was. I woke up the next morning with my phone still on the stream😅
Have not watched the video yet but wanted to say you two are probably my favorite react TH-cam channel. Such good input but nothing is overdone or overplayed, I can tell you are both being yourselves and you seem like people I’d love to be friends with irl. Keep it up :)
I loved this movie. I hadn't cried as much as I did watching this in such a long time. I believe James Gunn explained why we could suddenly understand Groot, it's because we had become their family, and that's why none of the Guardians reacted to his words, that's what they always hear. But, I will admit, I was sobbing when Lylla was shot and Rocket let out that scream...it broke my heart. And, because of his friends, it made so much sense why he was always trying to collect prosthetics.
GOTG Vol 1 was my mom’s favorite comic book movie ever, sadly she passed away from cancer complications in 2015 at just 65 years old. What hooked her to the movie at first was the soundtrack of many of the songs she grew up on, but then she loved it so much that she became a fan of the MCU. It’s why this franchise has a very special place in my heart. So when Dog Days Are Over (ANOTHER favorite of mine and my mom’s) was playing and the Guardians were celebrating/moving on with their lives, I was a wreck. Not out of pain of loss, but of remembering the good times I had with my mom. As for the movie itself, it’s one of my top 10 favorite comic book movies ever, as well as an all time favorite. With a supervillain I have never wanted to kill more than The High Evolutionary. And I love that the song that was played to send off the Guardians Of The Galaxy was the first song we as the audience heard when we saw Peter in the opening titles of Vol 1. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go listen to Come And Get Your Love by Redbone!
Nebula reacting to hearing Rocket is alive was everything bcuz of how close they grew during the 5 year snap. Also, I get choked up every time Nebula tells Drax he was always meant to be a dad.
I've loved ya'lls channel for a while and watched how you both act through dozens upon dozens of reactions. The way Steven consistently checks on Nikki to see if she's okay is so touching. You both have such an amazing relationship. It honestly makes me happy and hope for something like it. Thank you both.
You remind me of my mother Nikki, when it comes to emotional scenes. My mom would cry just like you. I always enjoyed watching my moms reaction to emotional movies
I'm glad you two found each other. Kind, gentle, empathetic people often get snatched up by narcissists or other opportunists. I was also lucky, like you two, to meet another kind, gentle, empathetic person. I consider myself very lucky to have met her. I never take it for granted. Great video as always Nikki & Steven!
I was expection this reaction for so long i was sure that Nikki would be crying this movie is so emotional in so many ways its a well done movie, one of the best MCU movies in the last years. Keep up the amazing work guys.

The way that you guys are makes me so happy. I’ve been watching your channel for a few months now and I can’t express to you how much I appreciate these videos and how much I am on the same vibe with you guys. It means a lot to me so thank you ❤️
I was sobbing just like you, Nikki. It was so emotional. Used my sweatshirt to soak up the tears cause I didn't have tissues either lol. Lost it a couple of time with Lylla and everything Rocket related. And then completely lost it again at the end with Quill's grandpa. Very much love how Nebula is such an integral part of the team now. So happy she found a family and a home. Really enjoyed the whole story with all the silly shit and tragedy and dark humour and all. Having so many quirky weird and special characters finding their chosen family hits me right in the heart. And then the freaking great soundtrack on top... Just works perfectly. Loved it! 🥰
Thank you Nikki and Steve once again for doing what y’all do. It’s nice to watch movies with you both. I don’t have any friends so it’s nice to be able to watch movies with someone.
At the very end, I thought that the 'star lord will return' screen would say something like 'Star Lord Will Return After He Mows The Lawn'. The "You weren't born to be a destroyer. You were born to be a dad." is what finally turned on the waterworks the first time I saw it. I mean, i'd been tearing up a little bit here and there, but that line...god damn.
This movie works because it's not forced. Every character is clearly defined and stick with that personality, and that's why it feels natural to the viewers.
Dw Nikki, I found myself breaking down multiple times throughout this movie... especially the part when Lyla meets Rocket at what I can only interpret at the 'gates of the afterlife', seeing Teeth and Floor in the background waving and the guilt Rocket felt for feeling like he got them all killed... just wrecks me everytime.
This Gamora isn't terrible. She barely knows the Guardians and constantly being told by Peter, she should be like someone else because it's what he wants...is awful
I can’t imagine how soul crushing it would be to lose the love of your life only for an almost identical person to show up and you have to interact with that person. The heartache would be excruciating
this was just as incredible in theaters on opening day with a packed theater of marvel fans as Endgame was. you could hear the cheers and sniffles everywhere... so good. and when i left the theater, i put on my headphones and went to the busstop listening to Florence and The Machine "Dog days are over" :) such a good time. BEST Marvel movie easily. James Gunn is a mad genius and i will miss him in the MCU but excited to see what he does with the DCU. Love the spinoff potential of the ending too, new guardians team, Mantis should get a "story of the week" spin off show about her just going on adventures through the galaxy with her pet-basilisks..... so damn good. pure love for this movie
51:00 I love this callback so much. I love how it confirms the themes of the movie as well as Mantis' contribution to the team. She DOES support people who show weakness. Everybody falters sometimes. That's why perfection is impossible. That is why we love ourselves and others regardless of our flaws. That's what the Guardians are all about. Losers who save the galaxy from Gods claiming to perfect it. Compassion carries us all.
That dog is Lajka "Laika inspired the creation of the Marvel character Cosmo the Spacedog, who subsequently appeared in several comic books and films.[37][38] In the comic books, Cosmo is a male dog. In the 2023 film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, director James Gunn made his version of Cosmo a female dog to honor Laika."
Great reaction as always guys. I think overall Guardians 3 is now my favourite MCU movie. I saw Endgame on opening night at a midnight premier, people were dressed up and it was an epic experience and end to the story. But this movie trumped it for me.
All this time, the guardians have been always hearing Groot speaks but those who lack connection with Groot can only hear "I am Groot". Towards the end of the movie, we heard Groot speaks because the movie implied that we finally connected with Groot.
Groot saying “I love you guys” at the end isn’t him actually saying it, but us the audience finally being able to understand him, as if we are now one with the Guardians. It’s a really beautiful full circle moment that James Gunn has rewarded us with after sticking with the Guardians for all these years.
When we saw this in the theater, there were a lot of us wiping our eyes so much. This movie was really emotional, but so good. This is my favorite Guardians movie then #1 and #2. I love the soundtrack for all three movies.
I've watched this reaction a couple of times, because it's so good. And of the many awesome moments one of my faves is Nikki's gasp of horror at "You're a bad dog!". Because when my best friend and I watched this the first time I had the same exact reaction! 😄
I could not believe how hard I cried during the Rocket death scene either. One suggestion, always have tissues near by. They come in handy and you can keep your shirt from getting wet.

According to what he said in an interview, the Russo brothers told him what they were planning to do, and they asked him if he could “work with that”, and he said he could.
I still really like when Quill is telling everyone Rocket’s OK, that Nebulas breath shutters a bit in relief showing how far she’s come emotionally
Its cuz nebula and rocket were grieveing when thanos snapped all of the family out
Seeing Nebula slowly allowing herself to show emotion makes her one of my favorite MCU characters. Her arc is amazing.
Yikes... yeah, Nikki is gunna have a hard time with this one.
I’ve watched it twice and I STILL have a hard time with this one
GOTG 3 is probably the most disturbing MCU film and appreciate the MCU producers are taking more risks with this kind of subject matter.
That was my exact thought when I saw this vid pop up.
Grow up babies.
that’s what i was thinking !
By the end of the movie, you can see how much influence Peter Quill had on everyone. With the music and the dancing as well as all the pop culture he told them about.
Except Garth Brooks. Garth Brooks got famous across the galaxy independently of Peter Quill. 🤠
Rocket screaming at Lylla's death was probably one of the hardest and most gut-wrenching movie scenes to watch, maybe ever. That scene left me feeling devastated and speechless. A feat not easily obtained by something I know isn't real.
I legit wanted to slug that actor in the face in that scene. He played the HE as such a pompous twat
That's how I felt...sometimes feel...about the loss of my mother. I wouldn't wish her a moment more of pain...but I still ache for her. And when she died. I remember feeling like I wanted to scream and never stop until the pain was gone.
@@andidreyes5323 I’m with you there. Lost mine in January.
I definitely agree although I think it hits really hard those scenes because that’s how animals have been and are still treated in life 😢 I’m glad Rocket made it but it’s such a heavy film I won’t be able to watch again
Gunn-wrenching even
I think a large part of Adam's 'stupidity' is largely due to the fact that he's basically a child.
I was always a warlock fan and this ''''thing' isn't any sort of warlock to me except for maybe an extremely underpowered and more insane magus.
@@stephenseay3878 This one is definitely not a qualified holder of the Soul Stone or Soul Gem.
Rocket is awesome
"I can only afford to lose 1 friend today" - rocket to gamora in GOTG 2.
What makes the Guardian of the Galaxy the best franchise in the MCU is the bantering between all the characters
I’d prolly still go with cap having the best franchise in the MCU. Winter soldier is god tier
@@dariusthegr8one81 as amazing as winter soldier is the guardians trilogy feels like it offers so much more in terms of emotion etc too
Nah would say Captain America has the best franchise in MCU
@@dariusthegr8one81 winter soldier by itself does not carry the first avenger and civil war, those are good movies, winter soldier is fantastic, but arguably all 3 guardians movies were great, not just good
It's the fact that its still sincere and allows the emotional moments to actually hit you because they're not undercut by jokes, despite being the funniest marvel films
“Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now!” That horror when the phrase silences and doesn’t continue- and rocket realized he got revenge but his friends paid a price and never got to leave….. HEART. BREAKING.
The line over and over again traumatized me
Rocket’s backstory was the primary reason I enjoyed this movie. It’s funny how he was unconscious for majority of the movie, but undoubtedly stole the spotlight. This trilogy was the definition of heavy asf.😢
i love when Layla the otter said 'its been your story all along'
he was always my favorite character.
If Quill doesn't screw up in Infinity War, they shouldn't create the Multiverse Saga
i actually really loved what they did with "new" Gamora's story. her staying with peope who she already loved made way more sense that if she magically switched to her new friend group, even though she clearly warmed up to the guardians by the end. and when it comes to Quill, i'm sure that it'd be almost impossible to naturally fall in love with someone who already knows everything about you (but not really you), has his expectations and history with you.
@@HuxtableK Floor screaming that line over and over traumatized me when paired with Rocket's wailing for Lyla
I cried when i saw that scene…
There is no end in the MCU lol the guardians will return.

James Gunn is an incredible filmmaker. He knows how to make an audience laugh, cry, and feel every blow in a fight scene. I recommend his film "Super." It's not a regular superhero film, but it has one of my favorite character stories of all time
🎵Let your body decide where you want to go🎵
It's one of my favourite "Superhero" movies, and the one that got him the GotG job in the first place. Have tissues ready though.
I love Nebula more and more in each movie we saw her. She has grown a lot from a cold, distant, scared but wanting Thanos to loves her, to someone who have a family from her own choice and they'd die for her. Even though she still seems to be angry all the time, but she loves all of them. The way she gasped when she heard Rocket's voice say a lot🥺
And I like Adam too! He's like a nice boy in grown man body and he loves his pet!
I've seen Steven say "that was emotional" quite a few times, but I do believe this is the first time he's actually shown it in his face. You know it hits hard when even Steven gets teary eyed. I knew you guys would like this one.
*What a way for James Gunn to go out. Incredible movie.*

Me too. i dont cry a lot in front of movie .
But the scene with rocket ….
And the fun part is : this is just cgi scene

Guardians had by far the best trilogy. Captain America didn't have the best starter, Iron Man didn't have the best part 2, Thor didn't have the best finisher. But GotG did not skip a beat. Punintended.
Thor actually got 4 movies, and only one of them is actually really good
@@dr.k8610 No lie, I totally forgot about the second one it was so forgettable.
Cap 1 is actually very good, it’s incredibly underrated
Even Bradley Cooper himself said that he got emotional when he saw this movie

I love how Steven kept asking Nikki if she was okay during all the emotional scenes. 🥰🥰 Y'all are the best
The actor who played the High evolutionarily was incredible
A bit of a stretch but okay.
@@bungiecrimes7247 which part is a stretch? Curious.
It’s shocking and amazing how much Gunn makes us care about these strange animals in such a short amount of time. Gets better and more emotional the more times I watch. Great 3rd film.
I knew as soon as I saw Guardians 3 that Nikki would be in shambles watching this! I was sobbing in the theater. Such a great reaction you two.
This movie brings me back to the first volume where Rocket mocks Drax for mourning his wife and daughter. When Rocket says “EVERYBODY’S got dead people!” hits much harder now knowing the family that he lost.
Oh my god guys! This movie was emotional roller coaster. Put me in so many tears. Let's thank James Gunn for giving us the amazing characters.

When a movie can invoke such intense emotion.. you know it's a good movie.

that scene with chris pratt shouting "NO!!!" when rocket's pulse is gone had so much emotion.... it's like saying goodbye to the franchise...even with the saliva coming out with "I'm not letting him go"!! line has so much impact...a movie that is so balanced, that has comedy, action & drama... chef's kiss...
This movie went so deep and made me laugh and gets emotional at the same time, definietly the best MCU trilogy. Thanks James Gunn!
I’m usually a silent watcher but I had to comment. I’m surprised Nikki didn’t cry straight away. It felt like this film had me crying as soon as it started with ‘Creep’.
Great reactions as always
Steven perguntando se a Nikki estava bem foi a melhor parte do vídeo. Um homem que se preocupar com o bem estar da esposa. Orgulho e parabéns.
The ending wraps up so many beautiful story’s and leaves you seeing exactly where you hoped all the of their journeys would take them.
this movie made me let out the ugliest cry for the first time in a theatre and i haven't even watched the first two. they did so well on making me feel connected w these characters. the jokes never missed, action sequences were so cool and the emotional scenes really got me. easily my favorite mcu movie (sorry spiderman no way home)
yeah Lyla Floor Teffs and Rocket are so Adorable they deserve to see skies together
i cried and took 2 weeks for me to recover about what happened to Rocket's friends.
Jeez, I wonder how you’d react to dairy & meat industry footage, bc that shit turned me vegan immediately
I haven't cried this hard watching a movie in a WHILE. omg poor Rocket 😢
Oh boy, this movie had me crying my eyes out a few times.
P.S. They filmed the Holiday Special in between making Volume 3, which James Gunn said was a nice release to step away from the heaviness of this movie.

Nikki did surprisingly well holding back the tears

I love that Rocket gets a "I'm not gonna kill ya, but I don't have to save you either," moment.
The fact the movie makes you think characters are dead for good three times throughout really gets to you.
I can’t imagine how soul crushing it would be to lose the love of your life only for an almost identical person to show up and you have to interact with that person. The heartache would be excruciating
I have never had a movie that had me so emotional. You guys are so on point, genuine, and relatable
this was just as incredible in theaters on opening day with a packed theater of marvel fans as Endgame was. you could hear the cheers and sniffles everywhere... so good. and when i left the theater, i put on my headphones and went to the busstop listening to Florence and The Machine "Dog days are over" :)
such a good time.

I think overall Guardians 3 is now my favourite MCU movie. I saw Endgame on opening night at a midnight premier, people were dressed up and it was an epic experience and end to the story. But this movie trumped it for me.
Yesss! Ive been waiting for you to post this, I wasn't able to watch live with you guys. Perfect timing! I love this movie so much!
All this time, the guardians have been always hearing Groot speaks but those who lack connection with Groot can only hear "I am Groot". Towards the end of the movie, we heard Groot speaks because the movie implied that we finally connected with Groot.
Good honest, heartfelt review. You guys are great together!
Nikki, a few days ago, my dog ate all the letters from my Scrabble game. I took him to the vet. Been 2 days so I called the vet ....... no word yet.
