I had a feeling that the souls would flow back into the bodies after defeating the big bad monster, but the story maintained the losses during the battle; I respect that.
Yeah, there were several times throughout the movie when I was like “oh god I hope they don’t do that” and the movie destroyed my fears each and every time.

Tony Leung played him so well, he is a legend! I also love the fact that as they say in the movie Shang Chi was the product of both his parents and they tell it in the fight scenes which I absolutely love. The way he defeated his dad using his mothers softer fighting style but also ended up beating the giant monster with his fathers more stronger moves. It's really great visual storytelling.
Bruh he sent his kid to assassinate the leader and he made his son point out who murdered his mom and literally killed him right in front of his eyes. He is an evil man that did this to his family.

There are tons of legendary Hong Kong actors in this, including Tony Leung. I think for me, the heart and most compelling part of the movie is the tragedy of Wen Wu. This felt like his story. You can see in his eyes his sorrow, like when he hears that "We needed you, and you chose those damn rings" and his tears and shaking his head when Shang said "I wish that were true". The dragon and soul sucker I could care less about. To me this was the story of a Father who wanted to be strong and love his family and did it in all the wrong ways. It was so human. The irrationality, lashing out blaming his son for his wife's death (even though I'm sure he didn't really feel that way all this time, would know better) Shang Chi blaming his dad, saying he's going to kill him, another irrational but very human reaction. My eyes sweat seeing him flash back to his son through the ages before he died.
Agree. Director Destin Daniel Cretton said he had Tony Leung in mind but didn't think they could get him. Marvel exec told him to try. They beefed up the role so "it's worthy of the ask" since Tony Leung is such a Megastar in Asia. Tony is so good.
@@mindlessmistro Tony is so charismatic! In the scene when he heard his wife's voice in the study. His face was full of longing. Then RazorFist came in. He turned and was all business. But when RazorFist left, he turned back. I could see tears in his eyes. The whole scene was incredible. With few words, he expressed everything with his eyes.
Also, just saying, If I heard my dead wife's voice ask me to save her, and I blamed myself for her death, I wouldn't be able to think straight either. Especially when I touch the wall I think she's behind and hear "save me"?
In case you didn't realize, Wong was fighting Emil Blonsky, or Abomination, from The Incredible Hulk. They just redesigned him to be more comic accurate. Also, all of the creatures in Ta Lo are traditional Chinese mythical beasts.
Yeah, kinda hard broken when you read the actual Morris from mithology sometimes act like a dog but most of the time.. its a creature "devoid of features and anything virtuous, and he delighted in causing chaos and wickedness"
As a little girl growing up in Korea, I always loved martial arts movies, but, as a child, I associated them as either the real action violent martial arts movies and, what I called "magic" martial arts movies, where they showed the more supernatural aspects of the artform. I LOVED magic martial arts, the flying, the superhero-ish jumps and moves, the manipulation of chi on one's environment, the "powers". For me, Shang-Chi was taking all the beauty and wonder of magic martial arts, and placing it within the MCU universe. I LOVED this movie, and I feel it's one of the more interesting ones, like Guardians of the Galaxy, like Doctor Strange. LOVED it. And Katie especially, made it feel SO relatable. I AM Katie - the girl who moved to the US, whose parents were constantly speaking our native language to me, so I fully understood it on hearing, but I failed at actually speaking my first language due to repetitive and regular use of just English, and wanting to fit in with my American friends. A little overweight, a little weird, not at all athletic and sporty and able to fight, a little bit Americanized and not quite fitting in EITHER culture, and struggling to maintain equilibrium within that. Parents wanting me to achieve the success they KNOW I am capable of, but feeling out of place within that Asian parent dream. I related HARD to the Katie character, and I loved that she was kept as a vital part of the story, and not just a forgettable secondary character. I ALSO loved how well the ladies got along, Katie, their friend, his aunt, and his sister. I'm tired of the "women can't get along and constantly hate each other" trope in movies, so this was absolutely refreshing to see them all exhibit such camaraderie. Oh, and can I say, Michelle Yeoh is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, at ANY age. And she still has moves - she can whip the ass of a person less than half her age. I can't get over the fact that she is damned near 60.
This movie was such a fun surprise, easily one of my favorite MCU movies! BTW, the guy filming the fight on the bus, is the same guy who asked Spider-man to do a flip in Homecoming!
this was the perfect movie for Marvel to go with post Endgame. A super likeable hero, a grounded story that goes into fantasty then back to grounded by the end(as much as marvel is grounded nowadays!) great supporting cast(loved the fact Shangs sister, Xialing, was just as important and strong as he is) and it was just great fun!
Totally agree. Especially about Xialing. She was badass but not OP like some of the other female characters Hollywood churns out these days. Loved her, loved the movie. The fight choreography is the best that I have watched in recent times.
@@asteven8 Same, don't know why I waited so long to see it (I just watched it today) but it was such a breath of fresh air and I thoroughly enjoyed the heck out of it.
So happy to find other people who love this movie. I saw it three times in the theater, including once in 4DX (AMAZING EXPERIENCE). I also bought a Morris plushie within a couple of hours of getting home after my first watching of the movie. All hail the pigchicken, Morris!
I have a 4DX theater in my area, but I haven't gone yet. Is it just the motion seats, it didn't include 3D, did it? Shang-Chi is the Marvel movie I wished I had seen in 3D, the father/son fight with the rings I know would have looked spectacular.
@@mikell5087 My theater does 3D and 2D 4DX, this was a 3D showing. This one had almost every 4DX theater effect except a few: - It had motion seats - Seats had haptic feedback/rumble - Seats had compressors in head and feet (simulate stuff whizzing past your head or feet) - Side of theater had the fans to simulate rushing air and flashing lights to go along with flashes of energy from the rings/other things - Seats also had water jets in front of them for the water stuff in Ta Lo Only thing it didn't really have was the smell/scent effect or the fog/smoke/snow effects.
Something I love about this movie so much is that, unlike a lot of plots where there’s a sister and brother duo or really any sibling pairing who are at odds with each other, typically those characters are pitted against each other. But in this movie, they allow for a natural healing to occur between the siblings who also understand that there is a common enemy between them and that they benefit aiding each other even when they have their differences. It’s a breath of fresh air to see a strong sibling duo! Much like Wanda and Pietro.
Yes definitely, my MCU top five are in no particular order, Infinity War/Endgame, the last two Captain Americas Winter Soldier and Civil War, and Shang-Chi.
@@mikell5087 for me it’s a tie between Avengers one, CA and the winter soldier, Shang Chi, GOTG and Doctor strange. Though infinity war, endgame, and black panther are tied for second lol.
the best thing about this movie for me is. that there is no stupid love story for the main character in this movie its about his FRIENDSHIP and FAMILY and not some put in 5 minute love story xD friendship with the side character is wayyyyy more appricated from me then a love story
For me that was the most esthetically pleasing movie I've seen in a long time. I love the whole fantasy aspect of it too. And ya Nikki I agree with you I totally want a Morris too 😁
Opening night… cried 4 times in the theater. Father-son stories are very powerful… plus I lost my mom in high school so that scene .. omg powerful. I agree: not sure where in the top 5, but I’m wiggling it in my top five too!!!
If Steven loves the fight between Shang-Chi’s parents, he’ll need to see Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon with Michelle Yeoh and Hero with Tony Leung and Jet Li. Nikki loves the bus fight and she would love anything from Jackie Chan’s catalog because most of those fights were lift right off Chan’s moves especially with the jacket sequence. These credits go to Brad Alan, the first foreigner to be on Jackie Chan’s stunt team. He helped to coordinate Shang-Chi’s fight choreography before his untimely death.
I love Tony Leung performance!!!! He was so awesome and he made me cry xD. He was a terrible father but he loved his kids and his wifee. All he wanted was to give his kids his mother back
This movie had amazing visuals! Everyone loves the bus scene but my favorite is the fight between Shang-Chi and his mentor with the mask backlit in front of the billboard, you can see all of their moves so clearly it’s beautiful
Yes! Loved the black figures fighting in front of the pink billboard. Beautiful visual! The director talked about this scene. It has lots of CGI of course. Because the buildings were all glass so they had to make sure all the reflections on the glass and the helicopter were accurate. It's one challenging scene for them. But the bus scene tops it all. They spent a month shooting that bus scene.
With that initial fight scene with Wenwu and Li, Shang-Chi had officially become my new favorite MCU film. Then later on with the training sequence with Ying Nan and Shang-Chi, I was in tears. It was so beautiful! Also: To quote CinemaWins: “Ben Kingsley is always a win!”
About all the cars going through the “pocket”…I just want to clarify, there was no pocket at that time. It demonstrates earlier in the film with the dragon eye water scene that it shows him the way and when and what time the entire way opens up and stays open sooo that’s how they got all the cars through. There was no pocket. It’s fully open occasionally and he knew the day and time from their necklaces.
Correct. And the date is Ching Ming Festival. That's the date Chinese pay respect to the deads. It's also called Grave Sweeping Festival. So Wenwu was trying to resurrect his wife.
I totally get why Shang’s sister feels wronged because she was treated unequally but I’ve also never seen someone so jealous of getting stripped down and beaten with sticks in the snow
Those are chinese Mythical creatures. Morris are actually called Hun Dun, god of chaos. There's fire phoenix and water dragons...and of cos the Lion entrance guards which you see the statue at the doors of chinese temple. There are also 9 tailed fox in there, some anime creatures from other Asian cultures.

this whole movie from the very start to the end was actually a huge freaking flex by the directors and the whole MCU crew setting an example and telling the whole world like "just give us the big budget from Disney and the mind of Kevin Feige without a single penny of budget cuts",and after that just sit down and get cozy to witness greatness.... and this actually was/is one of the best all-rounder movie I've watched in a while..like no cap..so entertaining and just beautiful...
Simu Liu (Shang-Chi) is now squeezed into my top 5 favorite CANADIAN actors!! ❤ SOOOOO happy to find others who LOVED this movie as much as I did!! Great reaction!!
I love this movie. I thought it was great, so colorful, beautiful, humorous, a good story with wonderful characters, and action packed. Best on a big screen in a theater.
You can always enter the village if you know the way by staying in the pocket. The safe path to the village only opens completely once a year. That's how Shangs dad got all those cars through... by following the safe path.
This movie has everything I love about Asian cinema. Fighting drama love ancient history and mystical arts with magic and creatures...light and dark.😍😍
Thank u guys so much for doing these videos. I really enjoy them. I live with chronic pain and spend most of my time alone and your videos really help. So thank u so much. Much love from Newfoundland.
I'm not really a superhero/marvel movie guy, I've seen like 1/3 of them, but I loved this one and watched it 3 times. The fighting, mythology and references to Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee and Crouching Tiger was all really fun to watch.
Yeah, Brad Allan. He sadly passed away recently, iirc it was before Shang-Chi came out unfortunately, he didnt get to see how much people loved it. I think the last choreography of his we get to see is "The King's Man." Dude is a legend though, non-Jackie movies he worked on include The Kingsmen 1&2, Wonder Woman 1, Scott Pilgrim, Kick-Ass, Pacific Rim... He also acted opposite of Jackie Chan as the antagonist in "Gorgeous" (2 fight scenes between em that you can find on TH-cam, the finale is amazing. He does Neo's triple kick from The Matrix against Jackie - & i'm pretty sure without wires. "Jackie Chan vs Brad Allan Gorgeous" should pull it up.)
I love this movie so much. Oh and the reason his dad got his whole army though was because the day he came in he didn’t have to “stay in the pocket”. The water map showed the exact route in the maze to get into Talo. And it’s only open once a year. That’s why his dad took the pendants because he knew the day but he didn’t know the right path to take but then he knew both. Shang-Chi and the rest got though only because Moriss helped them stay in the pocket that you have to stay in the other days of the year. If you are not from Talo then you would never know how to find a way though. I also love the end battle! There is a quick cool detail at the end with Xialing and the dragon. They tag teamed with the rope to hold the soul sucker back so Shang could blow it up with the rings. That was so cool I have never seen something like that before!
My reaction to this movie was pretty much the same. "Oh my gosh, I love this" *dragon appears underwater "OMG THATS BEAUTIFUL" ngl I got scared when the dragon first appeared I felt like I was seeing it in real life. The cinematography was sooo beautiful and well designed. One of my new fav Marvel movies tbh. Exceeeded my expectations.
I was late to movie night this week and stumbled on this instead. I LIIIIVE for your joy over this movie! No idea if the MCU will ever fold Shang-Chi back in 🤷🏻♀️. And yes, Morris and his creature buds are the best 💘. (edit: Must give flowers to the Legends, Tony Leung and Michelle Yeoh 💐💐)
was sick with the covid when this came out to disney plus and it actually made me teary eyed so many times because it felt like normal times even though i didn't feel normal myself.
Missed details (maybe)- 1. Trevor the guy with Morris was fake mandarin in iron man 3. 2. Wong fighting the creature in tournament was abomination main villain from incredible Hulk. 3. The video recorder man in bus was same person who told Spider-Man to backflip in Homecoming.
I believe this movie takes place during the Blip, before everyone was brought back. That’s why Wang is in charge and not Strange. And why Banner isn’t Hulk/Banner yet.
I'm so glad you guys loved this movie. I couldn't wait for you to see it. The new Spider-Man and Dr. Strange movies are going to be game changers. I can't wait to see them!
This movie was incredible! My wife and I watched and said the same thing, easily one of our favorite MCU movies of all time. Fantastic film. Great reaction as always
That Trevor guy was actually the fake mandarin in Iron Man 3. I was surprised he was there when we watched it. And also I have seen theories that in the 2nd post credit, those girls are maybe the Widows from Black Widow that are freed and maybe started working with the Ten Rings. Also, as you have noticed on the earlier part when they went to Macau, there was a girl fighting a man and she threw a knife, just a quick clip, it was said that she was a Widow.
All of the mythical creatures are actually from Chinese mythology, Morris is a hundun, a being of chaos. Chaos, in relation to the creation myth, is a void state, disorganized and innocent, childlike
Like I said before if any two MCU sidekicks ever need to meet up it's Katy & Luis from Ant Man. The hilarity between those two would be off the charts!
The guy playing the archery teacher is Yuen Wah; he was a stunt double for Bruce Lee and is one of the "Seven Little Fortunes", a troupe of young performers from the Chinese Drama Academy (the most famous being Jackie Chan) that were in a bunch of the heyday Hong Kong martial arts films from the 80's and 90's. He's also in the movie _Kung Fu Hustle,_ which I highly recommend if you're interested in watching hilarious martial arts comedy.
the reason banner looks injured at the end is cause hes still recovering from the snap from endgame. Also u guys should totally react to the trailer they revealed for upcoming marvel projects on disney plus day.
I saw this at the cinema, and enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. It definitely rates as a delightful surprise. As soon as the fight broke out on the bus, and I saw the streamer guy from Spiderman, I knew I was in for a good time. :) Also, we see (once again) that, in most of the important ways, the quality of the villain defines the quality of the Marvel movie, and Tony Leung delivered the goods.
Crazy timing on this upload! I finally watched it last night. Such an incredible movie. I like the comic character and I think they did a great job at modernizing the character while still keeping him pretty true to the material.
I've been watching y'all in since like forever & I'm not sure if you're still editing these yourself Steven but the editing on your videos is still some of the best out there. So great job you or whoever is doing the editing. Top notch my man

it warms my heart to see you both enjoy shang-chi so much 🧡 in case you didn’t know, the giant lion dogs from the ta lo village represent traditional chinese statues that are put in front buildings in real life - one lion dog protects the home from harmful spiritual influences, while the other protects the community from evil people. they’re an important symbol of chinese culture and mythology 😊 much love!🌻
I HOPE THAT WOMAN HAD BACKED UP HER PAPER!!! Morris was my favorite character from this film. I enjoyed it a lot. It was so different from what I'm used to seeing in the MCU. The fight choreographies were AMAZING.
The sequence with them in the forest was one of my favorite scenes in the MCU. Uncharacteristically elegant for the franchise and it was just a sweet moment and a good introduction to the character
“I’m a try and grade this fight” in case you didn’t notice that’s the street vendor from Homecoming. The one that yells “ok Spider-Man! Do a flip!” I’m surprised they didn’t recognize Emil Blonsky aka The Abomination from The Incredible Hulk movie Seeing Trevor Slatery come back was such a trip. There were so many callbacks to super early MCU films I love it Wong doing karaoke is the best mid credits scene ever!

The more I think about it, the more Wenwu seems like the hero. Wenwu: Gives up all power for love & family, old enemies kill his wife while he’s not there, asks Shang-Chi if he can train him, trains Shang-Chi to essentially be mentally & physically tough & to be able protect his sister in case one’s not there for an attack, wants the family back together again, sad distressed mad and also proud that his son is able to beat him, remembers all the wholesome moments with his family (especially Shang-Chi) as he believes he’s ready. Shang-Chi: Consents to be apart of the Ten Rings as a little kid, promises he’ll be back in 3 days but leaves Xialing & Wenwu hanging dry, doesn’t apologize to Xialing in Macau but she helps him anyways, blames Wenwu for his mom’s death even though he was buying them supplies & fails to realize he would’ve been in the 5 stages of grief, wants to kill his dad though he taught him everything, doesn’t look sad that his dad gave him the rings and dies in front of him.
You do realize Wong was fighting Abomination from the 'Incredible Hulk' movie. I'm guessing he's gonna be enlisted to that Val lady from 'Falcon & Winter Soldier'for her new team. Probably the 'Thunderbolts.' Kind of a Suicide Squad, without the suicidal part. Love the vid, & loved the movie! 🤘😁

I adore this movie!! Everyone else but me seems to think the sister is trying to do something underhanded in the last scene... All I saw (at the time I watched it) was her deciding to train GIRLS only. Could be good or bad, in my opinion.
There were dudes training too, as the camera pulled back. I never got bad guy vibes from the sister, even in her intro, so I hope they don't go the antagonist route. I'm hoping she's trying to turn the Ten Rings into something positive. Still probably some assassinations and fight clubs, but also, like, charitable donations and community outreach?

I was definitely amazed at all the 9 tailed foxes!!! 😱👏👏👏
@@st1010 you had the adult Kitsune with its nine tails and the kit chasing its single tail.
Yeah, kinda hard broken when you read the actual Morris from mithology sometimes act like a dog but most of the time.. its a creature
"devoid of features and anything virtuous, and he delighted in causing chaos and wickedness"
@@LeeCarlson Kitsune is a Japanese name though.
I'm ABC and Katie dragging Shawn about dropping the "g" got me laughing so hard.
This movie was such a fun surprise, easily one of my favorite MCU movies!
BTW, the guy filming the fight on the bus, is the same guy who asked Spider-man to do a flip in Homecoming!
I love callbacks like this.
Trevor Slattery's monologue about Planet of the Apes was one of the funniest things I have ever watched.
Lol ya. He seemed so earnest while telling it 😂
this was the perfect movie for Marvel to go with post Endgame. A super likeable hero, a grounded story that goes into fantasty then back to grounded by the end(as much as marvel is grounded nowadays!) great supporting cast(loved the fact Shangs sister, Xialing, was just as important and strong as he is) and it was just great fun!
Agreed 🙏🏽💪
Agreed. I didn't know what to expect and put it off for a long time. I loved it so much.
Endgame was dogshit.
They ruined Thor.
Infinity war was peak mcu
So happy to find other people who love this movie. I saw it three times in the theater, including once in 4DX (AMAZING EXPERIENCE).
I also bought a Morris plushie within a couple of hours of getting home after my first watching of the movie. All hail the pigchicken, Morris!
I bought a Morris with in a hour of watching it lol
I have a 4DX theater in my area, but I haven't gone yet. Is it just the motion seats, it didn't include 3D, did it? Shang-Chi is the Marvel movie I wished I had seen in 3D, the father/son fight with the rings I know would have looked spectacular.
Pigchicken? I call it buttwing.
@@mikell5087 My theater does 3D and 2D 4DX, this was a 3D showing. This one had almost every 4DX theater effect except a few:
- It had motion seats
- Seats had haptic feedback/rumble
- Seats had compressors in head and feet (simulate stuff whizzing past your head or feet)
- Side of theater had the fans to simulate rushing air and flashing lights to go along with flashes of energy from the rings/other things
- Seats also had water jets in front of them for the water stuff in Ta Lo
Only thing it didn't really have was the smell/scent effect or the fog/smoke/snow effects.
@@scope40k I just call him the Pigchicken because of Awkwafina's character calling it that before they entered the maze forest.
Watching Michelle Yeoh do Tai-Chi on screen after almost 30 years brings absolute tears to my eyes… The Goddess…
This movie was such a pleasant surprise. Definitely in my top 5 for MCU films.
I agree
Yes definitely, my MCU top five are in no particular order, Infinity War/Endgame, the last two Captain Americas Winter Soldier and Civil War, and Shang-Chi.
mine are infinity war, endgame, gotg, Thor three, and Shang chi
not necessarily in that order
@@mikell5087 for me it’s a tie between Avengers one, CA and the winter soldier, Shang Chi, GOTG and Doctor strange. Though infinity war, endgame, and black panther are tied for second lol.
Morris is an actual mythical creature, btw, called a Hundun. Shang-Chi is one of the few places where they're properly portrayed.
the best thing about this movie for me is. that there is no stupid love story for the main character in this movie its about his FRIENDSHIP and FAMILY and not some put in 5 minute love story xD
friendship with the side character is wayyyyy more appricated from me then a love story
Dont forget "House of flying Daggers"
Xu Wenwu is one of my favorite MCU villains. He wasn’t a villain at all.
Except maybe for the first thousand years of his life, lol.
@@cheffroggy Even then he wasn't necessarily a villain. He just wanted power. Anyone with the Ten Rings would.
@@cheffroggy warlord. wouldnt necessarily call him a villain since all we saw was him on the battlefield.
@@cheffroggy Yeah, he was a villain to many people in most of his life, he became a better person after he met his final soulmate.
Well as an antagonist he is one of the best
Tony Leung was everything in this movie to me. Absolutely fantastic.
That's my favorite fight too
With that initial fight scene with Wenwu and Li, Shang-Chi had officially become my new favorite MCU film. Then later on with the training sequence with Ying Nan and Shang-Chi, I was in tears. It was so beautiful!
Also: To quote CinemaWins: “Ben Kingsley is always a win!”
People getting killed all over the place.
Nikki: "is the horse okey?"😆🤣🤣
Pretty standard Nikki reaction
🤣🤣
Just about every female reactor I’ve watched asked that same question at that point in Shang-Chi.
Watch their Game of Thrones reactions! That’s Nikki every episode near enough! 🖤 LOVE you guys!
@@NikkiStevenReact Same here XD If it makes her feel better, you see the horse run off to the side when he jumps off. Horsie was a-ok.
It reminded me a LOT of Black Panther which is SUCH a positive thing to say. Loved this movie.
Black panther sucked. This movie was way better. I enjoyed black panther in civil war then his own movie
@@damonestephens8722 agreed
Tony is such a good actor. He can convey emotions really well. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did, as a lot of people refuse to enjoy it as it is
I totally get why Shang’s sister feels wronged because she was treated unequally but I’ve also never seen someone so jealous of getting stripped down and beaten with sticks in the snow
Wasn't the fox a reference to Ninetales from Pokemon? I've been fooled
@@estebansolis3355 Chinese myth also has 9 tailed foxes, which Japan borrowed and then Pokemon. The Phoenix-like birds are Feng Huang, which aren't exactly like Western Phoenix but are close enough

@@estebansolis3355 Nine tailed foxes were folk myths originating from China that Japan adopted around 10th/11th century through trading & became much more intigrated in Japanese myths.

The lawyer friend (Stephanie Hsu) is the actress who played Michelle Yeoh's daughter in Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. I cant do the shoes without socks look. My feet would get sweaty and would feel weird.
this whole movie from the very start to the end was actually a huge freaking flex by the directors and the whole MCU crew setting an example and telling the whole world like "just give us the big budget from Disney and the mind of Kevin Feige without a single penny of budget cuts",and after that just sit down and get cozy to witness greatness.... and this actually was/is one of the best all-rounder movie I've watched in a while..like no cap..so entertaining and just beautiful...
Simu Liu (Shang-Chi) is now squeezed into my top 5 favorite CANADIAN actors!! ❤
SOOOOO happy to find others who LOVED this movie as much as I did!! Great reaction!!

Lol ikr. Same smile too
I love this movie. I thought it was great, so colorful, beautiful, humorous, a good story with wonderful characters, and action packed. Best on a big screen in a theater.
The archer master is the landlord in Kungfu Hustle.
Yuen Wah, former classmate of Jackie Chan at the Peking Opera School.
Kung Fu Hustle is one of my favorite movies
Michelle Yeoh (aka Auntie) is one of the best martial arts actors around. Seeing her in this really made me smile.
You can always enter the village if you know the way by staying in the pocket. The safe path to the village only opens completely once a year. That's how Shangs dad got all those cars through... by following the safe path.
“I LOVE THIS” was absolutely me throughout this entire movie 🥳🙌 SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!
The fighting, mythology and references to Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee and Crouching Tiger was all really fun to watch.
so good
A ex- member of Jackie Chans stunt team created the action sequences in this flick
@@nebulous8389 Makes sense. That Jacket fight scene on the bus was classic Jackie.
You could remove any attachment to the MCU and the movie would be no worse.
Fun fact: the weapon Xiaoling uses is a a mix of a rope dart (the rope with the blade) and the monkey fist (the ball on the other end)
Amazing loved it! Thank you guys for the fun watch night I finally made !! Best film seen in a long while 😍🤩
I love this movie so much. That was so cool I have never seen something like that before!
love this i was running out of shangchi reaction and this popped out!
Me too. Lol!
Nikki's reactions are always the best. She delivered. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Missed details (maybe)-
1. Trevor the guy with Morris was fake mandarin in iron man 3.
2. Wong fighting the creature in tournament was abomination main villain from incredible Hulk.
3. The video recorder man in bus was same person who told Spider-Man to backflip in Homecoming.
Cool
Bro I had zero clue that Michelle Yeoh was in this and I’m so glad she is 😂
I believe this movie takes place during the Blip, before everyone was brought back. That’s why Wang is in charge and not Strange. And why Banner isn’t Hulk/Banner yet.

That Trevor guy was actually the fake mandarin in Iron Man 3. I was surprised he was there when we watched it. And also I have seen theories that in the 2nd post credit, those girls are maybe the Widows from Black Widow that are freed and maybe started working with the Ten Rings. Also, as you have noticed on the earlier part when they went to Macau, there was a girl fighting a man and she threw a knife, just a quick clip, it was said that she was a Widow.
yea thats awesome! totally could be the widows now under the command of his sister which would be a nice little tie in touch 🦾😎
I love this one too. The mythical creatures were well made. I love the fight scenes. Your commentary was great❤ you guys

I love the wuxia-style fight scenes. So beautiful.
the reason banner looks injured at the end is cause hes still recovering from the snap from endgame. Also u guys should totally react to the trailer they revealed for upcoming marvel projects on disney plus day.
Fun Fact: If you take a shot every time Nikki & Steve say, “I Love This!”,.. you’ll be dead in 10 minutes.
I saw this at the cinema, and enjoyed it a lot more than I expected.
It definitely rates as a delightful surprise.
As soon as the fight broke out on the bus, and I saw the streamer guy from Spiderman, I knew I was in for a good time. :)
Also, we see (once again) that, in most of the important ways, the quality of the villain defines the quality of the Marvel movie, and Tony Leung delivered the goods.
Thank you! I can't believe no one has mentioned Tony Leung till now. He stole the film in my opinion. His charisma and acting....whew.

Morris was my favorite character from this film. I enjoyed it a lot. It was so different from what I'm used to seeing in the MCU. The fight choreographies were AMAZING.
From the screen it looks like she’d just started it

Probably the 'Thunderbolts.'
Kind of a Suicide Squad, without the suicidal part.
Love the vid, & loved the movie! 🤘😁
By the way, the green beast Wong was fighting is the Abomination from the last Hulk movie. It was confirmed when Wong called it by his pre transformation name !!!
I loved this movie. Saw it opening weekend. I've watch it about 4 times on Disney. I think those RINGS are sooooo badass.
Wenwu got all the trucks through because he had the map. Morris just knew pockets.
10:31 The Abomination, the same one who went on a rampage throughout Harlem, killed several people including several soldiers that were on his side, and even go so far as preventing Hulk from saving the General and Betty while the helicopter is about to catch fire.
Cliff/Caleb whatever phone camera dude is the same one that told Spidey to do a backflip in Spiderman Homecoming.
I adore this movie!! Everyone else but me seems to think the sister is trying to do something underhanded in the last scene... All I saw (at the time I watched it) was her deciding to train GIRLS only. Could be good or bad, in my opinion.
It looked like she was restarting her fight club thing as a front for funding and training the Ten Rings, maybe turning them into something positive?
There were dudes training too, as the camera pulled back. I never got bad guy vibes from the sister, even in her intro, so I hope they don't go the antagonist route. I'm hoping she's trying to turn the Ten Rings into something positive. Still probably some assassinations and fight clubs, but also, like, charitable donations and community outreach?
