you know what would be really cool, if you hadn't already thought of this, would be to mount a video camera on the back side of the wall to be constantly recording whatever is going on on that side & be able to play it on this tv - that way it would look like there is just a true window in the wall or even a big rectangular hole in the wall when there really wasn't one. of course I suppose, however, if nothing interesting is ever happening back there it might be quite a waste of time to bother doing this.

You can make the wooden frame so it hides the bezels i could make any modern TV fit in that wall... useless in my opinion. They should have hide the ribbon in the wall and that's it

It's cool, but it kind of defies the logic of an ultra thin screen somehow... It was built to look like a window in the first place, but mounted like this makes no sense, you could potentially use any other flatscreen tv...

Same thing went through my head, i guess it just makes things easier if you have a thinner wall and blocking off the bezel on a normal TV may cover the IR receiver? Just small things but maybe it helped

Just an idea, hook up a webcam and a pc. Run a simple program that does head tracking, and using that track data to apply depth and angle change to a parallax image, giving a Sudo fake 3D look to it. for better emerson :3 I'll go smack a programmer to make such program :)
I think it's time for LTT to start hiring again.

Heat wouldn't be that much of an issue, after all the heat would mostly be the actual display and light, not the driving stuff. In any case they could have had it less recessed than they did. I was expecting the bevel to be pushed against the inside of the wall or even flush with the wall. This is right up against the back.

Add a camera behind that wall so its even more realistic and if that's not possible put a camera somewhere outside your warehouse and show that on your TV
Connect a camera to the other side of the wall where the TV is mounted. So when you have the camera streaming to the TV it looks like a window.

Setup a camera on the outside of the building in line with the frame. So your image would be exactly what you would see if it was a real window.

Add head tracking (obviously only one unfortunately) and use that info to pan/zoom the image. It will give a real window effect.
That was a great TV I would like to know do you know of any type of material besides plexiglass that I can possibly used with the thinness 2 use as a projector screen to make a somewhat lookable wall TV but I'll be using a projector

You know, they spend so much time doing this outlandish shit these days, I really miss the past when Linus Tech Tips featured genuine tech tips, as well as the cool performance and gaming PC builds that real people could actually afford to do.
I can appreciate that, but as content creators, it is their job to do exactly that. And 7 minute long advertisements disguised as content is definitely not the way to go. Whoever their creative director is should be reassigned and let someone else take a crack at it.

By placing it into the wall it completely destroys how flat the TV is. You could put a 4 year old LED panel into a wall and it look like that.
Compromised audio quality (the desk). Compromised viewing angles (being inset). Extra reflections from the frame and light bouncing off the frame. A lot of sacrifices for a gimmick.

You should use motion tracking so that when there's only one person in the room, it actually shifts the view out the window as they walk around :D Like Johnny Lee's wiimote head tracking, but better.
