For those that didn't notice, the Sister Doctor was referred to being from the "Suk School", which are doctors conditioned to not harm human life, and they are considered safe to treat the Imperial family. If you notice she has the same diamond shaped tattoo on her forehead like Doctor Yueh from the first Dune movie (played by Chang Chen), who betrays the Atreides. This is important in the novel because the Suk School conditioning has never been broken before. The irony was that by breaking Yueh's conditioning not to harm humans, he was able to act trying to assassinate the Baron himself.
It wasn’t so much breaking the conditioning, that would’ve resulted in Yueh’s death. It was more so finding and using a lever to force the Yueh to betray the Atreides. But Yueh only wanted confirmation about his wife. Remember she was Bene Gesserit, and even taught Yueh enough of truth sense for the moment of truth.
Since from your obvious knowledge of this universe and a fan. Do you want them to start work on the next trilogy after part 3 that covers children of dune and Paul’s son or to take like a 3+ years long break?

And you'd most likely hope for exactly the kind of grace in judgement that you casually withhold in online forums.
An interesting thing about Desmond’s power is that it hurts him, maybe kind of like a migraine? as he’s using it. There’s still no explanation for how he killed Kasha. If he was aiming at one of the sisters and space wasn’t an issue why not go for Valya? If the difficulty was that he just didn’t know her by sight, does that mean she’s dead now? It’s not like the sisterhood can be said to have an army.
He went after Kasha because she was the emperor's Trurhsayer. He felt that she was directly manipulating him. He also saw how much Javicco relied on her. He had to remove her to supplant her influence.
The key to the reckoning is Paul Atreides, he was born on his own home world Caladan, and then reborn after he took the water of life on Dune. He is the Kwisatz Haderach, or will be lol.

I have a problem with the 10.000 years distance. Look how much humanity has changed in 100 years and people already forgot or question things from world war 2 which happened 80 years ago. 10.000 years is way to long.
One of the main plots of Dune is how humanity has stagnated and refused to change. The "Tyrant" that the Sisterhood fears will make it his mission to change that
That's because humanity almost went extinct due the war with the machines for a CENTURY. That amount of bloodshed and horror is enough to etched generational fear. Technological advancement is suppressed because of the Imperium's fear of what said advancement could lead.
@@the_archmaester Yes i get that, i just find it hard to believe. From the pyramids to modern day its about 4000 years. Nothing changing for 10000 years just is hard to believe. Thats all i'm saying.
@@patrickmuhlbeyer9262 There are changes. But progress is more biological than technological since advanced technology is forbidden. The humans in Paul's time are faster, stronger, and more intelligent than during this time.
R u guys aware that a new trailer for secret level dropped a week and a bit ago? Trailer is so damn good for me a bit emotional. Pls check it out if you can
Im still apprehensive to this show because of the source material not being nearly as good as the original 6 dune books but this episode was really good
They are only really using lore elements, and past sequences like Valya killing Dorotea with the voice. But I however like the EU books because it fleshes out the imperium. Thing is Frank was vague in certain descriptions and we only really experience the esoteric side. Either way, continuing the books was a double edged sword because on the one hand, you have someone wanting to carry on his father’s legacy. But on the other hand, people would complain about the writing style no matter what he did.
Thats one of my theories but the fact that he is able to resist the voice leads me to believe he might not be because gholas are still susceptible to the voice. I think he might be a thinking machine.
I wish the show would call the war the name it was given in the books, The Butlerian Jihad, obviously i understand why they wont but as a fan its what i want.
I am really rooting for Desmond and what he has in mind. The sisterhood are trying to play gods, which is so messed up. Well, at least that's what can be read from those 2 episodes. This is so ridiculous that the showrunners are trying to portrait those women as 'the good guys'.
@ no I’m clowning obviously it’s a joke I know the water planet is Atreides home planet. Too good of an opportunity to call it earth for giggles though 🤣
Yo, am I tripping, or is those show like, not good? I very much should be the target audience. But this isn't resonating with me like at all. I'm having a hard time finding any character I can latch on to and enjoy. I kind of hate them all. Like, not one of these people would I want to be stuck in a room with or want to go to a party with. I think it becomes problematic when all of your characters are unlikable and not charismatic.
This series just feels off. The dialogue, some of the acting (especially the younger cast), the set pieces, the predictable scenes (Desmond obviously not going to kill himself in episode 2), the score, and the overall narrative of the series make it disappointing so far. 3/10 for me after 2 episodes. 👎

Yeah Dune:Prophecy is becoming one of my favorite shows💀💀😭 HOLY SHIT!
I think Desmond will found the Sardaukar
It makes sense. Dune plot is humanity stagnation.
Temu Jason Momoa is growing on me. So when are the lightsabers gonna show up?! The Nightsisters of Dathomir are kinda boring me.
i love ragnar long live the king
R u guys aware that a new trailer for secret level dropped a week and a bit ago? Trailer is so damn good for me a bit emotional. Pls check it out if you can
This show is so good
Did John like this one?
No way you guys censored 'brat' XD
Bob Idaho? I’d go with Johnny Utah
Or Tennessee Slim. Or Dakota Fanning. No, wait…
Im still apprehensive to this show because of the source material not being nearly as good as the original 6 dune books but this episode was really good
It's technically not based on any source material.
@@the_archmaesterits based on sisterhood of dune, the show was originally called dune: sisterhood but they changed the name
@husker4life109 All of Sisterhood took place in the first 30 minutes of the first episode. This is all new.
Did you catch the Pee Wee Playhouse reference?
Is Desmond Hart a ghola?
Thats one of my theories but the fact that he is able to resist the voice leads me to believe he might not be because gholas are still susceptible to the voice. I think he might be a thinking machine.
@@husker4life109That is my other question. Is he some form of Ixian tech?
@@davidboivin7996 its possible, they have many machines on IX
I can’t believe you have reacted to Vikings series! You’re all missing out on something truly amazing 😑🙏
I wish the show would call the war the name it was given in the books, The Butlerian Jihad, obviously i understand why they wont but as a fan its what i want.
They did mention Butlers in this episode in relation to the thinking machines war.
Should definitely react to Vikings
Bob Idaho, is very Rasputin to the Romanovs.
The real Rasputin: Russia’s greatest love machine, or the cartoon Rasputin played by Christopher Lloyd? lol
I am really rooting for Desmond and what he has in mind. The sisterhood are trying to play gods, which is so messed up. Well, at least that's what can be read from those 2 episodes. This is so ridiculous that the showrunners are trying to portrait those women as 'the good guys'.
He murdered a child, he's not a good guy
Sex scenes aren't really very enjoyable for men or women. They are just really awkward to film.
Or it is fun and you fall in love with your co star
@Jimmy-o2g3mYeah, but it went on longer than needed. They could’ve just gotten to that plot point, quicker.
They dragged the scene out way longer than was comfortable. 😩
Water planet is called earth 🤡
Actually it’s called Caladan as I said. Thanks for the name call. I love clowns!!
@ no I’m clowning obviously it’s a joke I know the water planet is Atreides home planet. Too good of an opportunity to call it earth for giggles though 🤣
I feel like the meh outweighs the interesting in this episode. 😕
a comment and thumbs up

@ no that’s the reality
Holy cow I found the most annoying podcast in the world. Sorry I was looking for dune prophecy reviews. Dang it algorithm
