BEEN LOOKING FOR A ONE STOP SHOP TO RECORD AND EDIT IN ONE PLACE THIS IS AMAZING THANK YOU!! 👏🏼👏🏼🎉🎉
It's the best! Let us know if you have any questions in the process!
I dont get non off that on my ipad it dont even play it back or show options to check mic levels or nothing
Hello. I record a pod cast using Logic Pro question #1. is there a way to use the Logic Pro audio with the I pad video in your software. #2 I am not doing remote guest at this time , guest are together in the studio so can I record video with out doing the invite part of your program. Thank you
Not quite sure what you mean, but Logic Pro X is only available for the Mac so it can't be used on iPad.
@@Riversidefm thank you for the reply. I can see where the confusion is let me rephrase the question if I record the video using your software on my iPad at the same time, I am recording the audio in logic pro can I export that audio into your software on my iPad. I hope this clears it up, thank you very much
Is it possible to record an in-person podcast video interview directly on the riverside app (on an iPhone 14 pro)?
Are you looking to record two people in the same room? Check out our resource on hybrid recording, and you can use the secondary camera angle feature with the Riverside app to record river of both people: Hybrid recording: th-cam.com/video/FdkcLfm14O4/w-d-xo.html Multi-angle recording: th-cam.com/video/0o3XAJ9lKT4/w-d-xo.html
I have an audio interface with a mic that is compatible with my IPad, will that work in the riverside app?
Yes, that should work in Riverside. The app supports USB mics and USB audio interfaces.
If I do a hip hop podcast, is there an app I can use to add audio such as beat if want an artist to freestyle on my show?
You can actually upload audio tracks directly to the Riverside media board and play them for everyone to hear during a recording! The Media Board is only available when recording from a laptop or desktop.
When our guests use either the Pad or phone apps, the sound quality is coming through as if it is a cellular call. Any idea what's triggering this?
Is that what you're hearing live or even the final recorded files? Are they attaching an external mic or using the device's built-in mic?
@@Riversidefm It's the final files as well, and attaching an external microphone to the iPad. In fact, we know it's being treated as a phone call because the iOS settings for Wide Spectrum audio is not available, which only deselects when on a phone call
Can i use a wireless microphone when i record an episode of podcast on Riverside?
Depends on how you plan to connect it, but likely not. You can use a headphone adapter and mic/headphone splitter, *then* use something like the Rode wireless go II system to have a lapel mic.
Not to be critical, but the audio from the mic used in the demo does not sound great to me. Is that just how the mic sounds or are iPad recordings lower quality than on the Web?
It’s a different and not as high end mic used to record the rest of the video. But you can use any microphone or even a USB audio interface with the iPad
@@Riversidefmany recommendations on a good microphone to use for better audio quality? Just getting into podcasting and am likely going with the riverside app as my one stop shop.
Hello. I am not able to get "Wired connection" popup. It seems like the iPad doesn't recognize the USB mic (RODE NT USB mini). Please, do you have any idea how to solve it?
What model iPad are you connecting to, and are you using an adapter between the USB mic and iPad?
iPad Pro 2020, no adapter, Apple’s original USB C - USB C cable
@@Riversidefm I’m hitting the same issue. IPad Air 5 connecting direct to audio technical usb c mic just like in your video. No wired connection prompt. Help?!
When I try to use an external audio interface (USB) from the iOS mobile application (iPad M1) I encounter many problems.
1. The message telling me that a wired device is connected only appears sometimes. It appears if for example I launch the GarageBand application before launching the Riverside application. Most of the time it doesn't appear and the application keeps using the built-in microphone and speakers.
2. Even when the message appears, no matter which option I choose (microphone only or both) it has no effect, the iPad's microphone and speakers continue to be used.
I tested with the following interfaces:
- Røde videoMic NTG
- Røde Rodecaster Pro 1st gen.
- Zoom F3
- Zoom F6
- Audient ID4 MKII
- Yamaha AG-03 MKII
- Apogee Mic Plus
Whatever the interface, the result is always the same. All these interfaces work well in other applications.
It is seems obvious that the type of setup mentioned in this video on is not functional
What kind of microphone you’re using?
Sennhesier MKH-416!
Wait… How can the iPad be a complete production studio if you have to go to a computer to view and edit the content?!?!?
I watched this video because don’t have a computer, just an iPad and when I recorded a test video I couldn’t find the content… now I’m really wondering if I can use just my iPad or not.
You can still download the recorded files in Safari on iPad, save those to your device, and edit them in iMovie, Final Cut, or LumaFusion directly on iPad!
Is it possible use AirPods ?
You can, although with battery life and latency we typically recommend wired headphones
🙏✨💜✨🙏
But the editor is not available on iPad right?
Correct, that's desktop-only.
Can you do just an audio podcast with a regular iPad, not iPad Pro?
You can! Depending on the microphone you may need an adapter to connect to a regular iPad. The Lightning to Camera USB adapter would be best for that use case.
Hi there. I have been trying to get Riverside to work using the solution you just described (using a lightning to camera usb adaptor) to connect my USB mic to older iPad that has lightning. The mic works great for garage band, voice memos etc. but as soon as I go into Riverside it defaults to the iPad mic and iPad speakers. I talked to your help center and they said the lightning port solution doesn’t work. Might my setup actually work?
After thinking I could record, edit, and upload content using only my iPad I was sold and bought the annual subscription. But now I'm finding out all I can do is record on the iPad and I cannot edit on the iPad and I cannot upload via Riverside on the iPad without a computer. I can't even see what was recorded. The iPad is perfectly capable of viewing recordings, doing editing and and uploading the same as on a computer. I don't see why that's not available on iPad. I'm going to guess it's not on iPhones or Androids either. My computer broke last year and I never had a reason to invest in a new one. Now I have to shop around just to use Riverside properly. I wish there was a disclaimer that says "You cannot view, edit, or upload from your iPad." That would have been a good thing to know
Sorry for the confusion on that. You can download the raw files and save them locally to your iPad. You can also generate the Full episode clip using that button in the dashboard and then download that file on iPad as well.
Unfortunately, I used the app and the app only recorded 2 seconds of the session. I lost 25 minutes of an interview with a highly sought-after attorney. The cost of the mishap is higher than the cost of a year subscription to Riverside. Your tech support blames it on the hardware. Of course. It couldn’t be that the app is simply defective.
Phil, we're very sorry that happened. If you still have access to your account, could you send us the recording ID of the track that failed to record? I'd like to send to our product team.
This app is useless unless and until it supports external cameras in the same way Camo Studio does.
Thanks for the feedback, will get with the team!
Agreed. The iPad definitely has the ability to read external webcams as I use one for FaceTime calls all the time. Sad to hear the app can’t support that.
