Great video. Does the Rode Central app work with the iPad? If so, couldn't you just open that and transfer the audio files to your iPad instead of popping out your Micro SD? I am not sure if the Rode Central app works with he iPad so, that's my real question.
Very true, you can charge with the Magic Keyboard! But many use third party cases so wanted to show how the hub can be used to charge as well. Plus, you can use the HDMI out for a preview monitor and ethernet connection for more stable internet.
The problem with the IPad/iOS app is it doesn’t record lossless quality audio. It degrades the sound quality a lot. It’s the same thing with the Mac app as I guess the Mac app was built upon on the iOS app. Please look into this as we really want to use ipad to record podcasts on the go. Thanks!
@@Riversidefm I can provide more contexts. The audio quality off the iOS app sounds like the noise reduction was turned on by default and the recording loses a lot of richness. Sounds really compressed without many details.
Yes, @Riversidefm I also am interested in your findings, or anyone else’s, re: this issue. Any option that doesn’t allow at least for recording and ouputting in 16/44 uncompressed WAV is a deal breaker . Thank you in advance.
Video is kind of confusing… how do you even know if the Rodecaster duo is link with your iPad ? Do you change the output and input to Rodecaster duo in settings ?
If you see the pop up in the Riverside app asking about external headphones, you'll know the app recognized the audio interface when plugged in. That's it!

It doesn't work the same way, unfortunately. Would be nice!
Very good video but I ask you, why use the hub if you can charge the iPad from the Magic Keyboard, right?

@@Riversidefm the rode device has an ethernet plug, just FYI in case anyones thinking of getting one.
Is this the same process with MacBook Pro and iPhone
Very powerful tool. By chance does this works in Spanish for the editing tool and the transcript of the videos ?
Yes it does! We support over 100 languages including Spanish.

Will get with the team and report back, appreciate your feedback on this.
@@Riversidefm thanks and look forward to it!

So I can use Logic Pro with this setup? 😳
To edit the audio files, of course!
@@Riversidefm but to record the audio directly through the Rodecaster into the iPad into Logic Pro for iPad directly?
