Ok, I have a 1994 f250 with the 7.3l idi. No engine computer. What I'm looking for is something similar to this, where I can install my own sending units and have the data displayed on a single gauge or panel. I don't really need data logging just need more than the three or four gauges in the a pillar.
Walker, what you're looking for is our iDash 1.8 with our forthcoming sensor module suite. You can order the iDash without data logging. But the magic ingredient in your setup will be our suite of modules including the 4-channel thermocouple modules which will be available later this summer.
Hey great question - I have the same ... '94 IDI F250 - with the "Banks Power" package (how befitting!). Thanks for the answer Mr. Banks and I will be looking into the Dash 1.8 mentioned. As a former engineer, I appreciate such well thought out products. It's no wonder you are a legend!
Basically. It's a thermocouple placed inside the exhaust or exhaust manifold that converts heat into an electrical signal. The more heat, the more signal, usually taken off of the exhaust post-turbo, or before that, right at the exhaust manifold, pre-turbo.

I have a 2018 Ram 3500 6.7 Cummins, is this plug and play for monitoring exhaust gas temps or do I need to order anything else along with it? The SKU on your site is 66560, the one I'm looking at. Thanks
The iDash Data Monster and Super Gauge are universal for all 2008+ vehicles with CAN-BUS OBD-II. All of those parameters are covered. Click here to see more: shop-banks.s3.amazonaws.com/products_data/idash18_parameters/PID_2015_RAM_67_CUMMINS.pdf
Does this read and tell you regen status? Or when you’re approaching one needing to be done? 2020 power stoke 6.7 and wanting more information to plan if one needs to be done, thanks
My question is what type of alert features does it have any since it's a mini computer can you add other alerts like service intervals or other features like a turbo timer and to be able to read it and see the parameters of the SD mini card is there a computer program I need or is it loaded to the SD card from the gauge when it saves the information to it sorry for being so lengthy
I bought mine and everything work good but my 6.7 power stroke is deleted and is not reading the EGT’s, is this because the truck is deleted or I need to buy a sensor ????
Yes and yes. the iDash is reading what the ECM is broadcasting. It's design to read the factory computer. Any software modifications will cause an error code like this to occur.
We offer analog sensor modules that can hook up to the iDash that offer a wide variety of accessories. Click here to see more: www.bankspower.com/c-70-products-idash-digital-monitor-idash-1-8-accessories.html#!
I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Evan Charles Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
So perhaps a little information on the range of cars something like this would basically plug-and-play, would be nice to know about. I have a 93 Honda and I'm pretty sure my ECU device would require some special adapter to Uplink this. Certainly has an appeal to it that's for sure. Now if only they were Bluetooth compatible with an app on our cell phone that we could do a little bit of programming. that would be the cat's meow!
I downloaded program I have a Toon banks six gun on my iPhone but my truck won’t read it here is the problem from my phone to the OBD2 I got one of those readers but I can’t get it on my cell phone or is there able to go from my iPhone get the Bluetooth it will be the programmer but the programmer won’t upload
No. The currently iDash reads CAN OBD data in vehicles 2008 and newer. We'll be releasing our Pre-CAN iDash in the coming months. This version will display all the PIDs on your '03 Power Stroke. Keep an eye on our Facebook and/or Instagram for the announcement.
lol sorry ... speak to text wasn't so great that time .. Would it be untraceable? and would the dealership know if I installed this gauge system. does it somehow reset how many times the car has been turned On ?
The iDash shows up in some ECUs as a diagnostic device. The OBD port in your car was designed for diagnostic devices to be connected just for this reason. When you go to a mechanic, including your dealer, they use a diagnostic device. Bottom line, no dealer would ever have a problem with it.
It universal for anything 2007 or newer. Il will work on older than 2007 Amercian trucks than have our tuners. We are developing a pre 2007 version for older vehicles that will be universal that we shooting to release this winter.
See it’s a pain to find something they works in a 6.0. I need to monitor everything at all times lol and unfortunately none of these gauges offer that. That’s why edge has control of the market
It depends on the vehicle. Most modern cars and trucks broadcast oil pressure and temp which the iDash will display. Scroll one-third down this page and you'll see a list of vehicles. Click on the vehicle and it'll list all the parameters available on the iDash for that vehicle. www.bankspower.com
All you need is a standard 1/8 NPT pressure sensor. I'd call Banks for specifics on their A/D modules, sensors, connectors, etc. Apparently you can hook-up your existing sensors to their A/D module, using their spare connectors, in order to plug into their A/D module, which then goes to the iDash. Just playing around with this stuff myself (1990 12-valve Cummins), before taking the plunge and replacing my analog gauges, hoping the price comes down on this stuff some more.
Actually, you can. We offer an aftermarket ECU version, if you would like to, you can create a custom network of sensors and iDash gauges. Click here to learn more: official.bankspower.com/tech_article/whats-going-on-in-my-engine-and-how-do-i-know/
@@bankspower very cool. I’ll have to look into it, I know my e36 isn’t exactly like what’s in the banks power wheelhouse but I’ve been wildly impressed by what I’ve seen on your TH-cam channel and I’d love to contribute to your business at some point, in some way. If I can set up temp monitoring for my intake and post inter cooler temps as well and temps for post turbo oil temp and pressure as well as post turbo water temp and pressure that’ll make my day.
We can handle all of that, we offer 40+ accessories (most of them temp sensors) for the iDash. These seniors cover liquid and air and cover a range of temps (up to 1500+ degrees). Please click the link below for all the iDash sensors. www.bankspower.com/c-70

Im going to have a lot of fun with these when i get them the data it collects is wild!
Wow. Well I'm sold, and my truck is a 1990 12-valve Cummins!
This could be nice for the 90's trucks such as the 6.5 from GM that don't have much support in the gauge field.
Cant wait to install my derringer /pedal monster combo on my 2020 ram eco diesel.
Been looking at videos and drooling since i place the order…
Does it show injector balance rates? (Driving an LML 6.6L) Also, will I need an EGT probe to monitor EGT's like the CTS3?
When will yall add the AFR/WIDEBAND for the 14-18 Silverado???
