    Great in-depth review of the iDash DataMonster and iDash Stealth Pods! We're thrilled that you continue to discover new features and data. We believe everyone should have an iDash in their truck or car!

    You don't have to use one of your spaces to show if Regen is on or off. You can actually set up an alert that will show up on any screen you're running as an overlay when it goes into Regen. It pops up with a big yellow flashing light and says "REGEN" . It then shows a small yellow box in the upper corner of the screen for the full duration of the Regen until it ends. I found that out from banks and have been using that method ever since. It's nice because now I have an extra field that I can utilize for something else instead of wasting it on the Regen status.

      I was toying around with that and it seemed to ask me to set the high to 10 and I was thrown off as it should be on/off. So I did not change anything. That would be much more beneficial, for sure. Thanks for sharing! You are the second to tell me, so i should really set it.

      Personally I’d rather see how it’s approaching 100% since I do a alot of short distance driving in between towing cycles. Because if I have the time, I’d continue driving until the regen is off. Giving me a complete uninterrupted cycle. Tks for the video

    Nice video! I have a '23 RST 3.0, and you've posted some useful stuff for us! At this time, I'm running a single SuperGauge with the stealth pod, but now I have a good idea of what to put on it. Couple of quick questions, if you'll indulge me: I take advantage of the start/stop technology when I'm tooling around town (call me crazy--I'm a cheapo). When the truck stops at a light, the gauge goes off, and usually comes back on when I go again. Is there a way to keep the gauge on all the time, even when the motor is temporarily stopped? Is there any reason to also monitor EGT/2, other than watching what it does during a regen cycle?

    Hi everyone long time poster here. The creator of this channel loves me to no end, so I feel I need to chime in with some data from my LZO. I just got the dash a few weeks ago. I zero my tripometer straight off a Regen. The banks has the option to show mileage between regen. I compare the bank’s mileage with the tripometer from the truck. It’s average close to 100 miles off each time. The banks says I’ve gone close to 300 miles between and my truck only around 200. Seems the banks fun o meter is way off. Also, I have close to 2k miles on my truck now and have towed a 3000 lb boat in there somewhere. My def fluid has only gone down 2 bars! How far do you people get per def fill?

    • @DemonWorks
      @DemonWorks  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The idash selection is "average" and to me, that means it takes into account all previous regens. I'm at 500 miles and still haven't had my first. From prior info taken from my trucks, I will average 300-450 miles per regen after it's broken in. Def fluid use will vary with everyone, but I was at 1.25 gallons per 1000 miles.

    • @derichhofmann4667
      @derichhofmann4667 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Perhaps the “mileage between regens” is a PID from the truck and not from Banks software itself? With my OBD Fusion app I can select the PID “average miles between regen”, that’s generated/created by the truck and not via the app I believe. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

      I wonder if the more frequent regents has to do with the heavier truck im running? The aev has just over 1000# payload, so I wonder if the extra weight of the skid plates and bumpers and whatever else is working the engine just that much more? What gives one truck long periods between regen and the next truck shorter periods? Hmmmm

    Question for anyone with more information about fault code P049D: EGR “A” Control Position Exceeded Learning Limit.
    I have a 2020 Chevy silverado 1500 with the 3.0 Duramax with 81000 miles. I started my truck the other day and received the "service emission system" message along with a check engine light. Scanned the truck and its throwing a P049D code. Looked up the warranty and the egr valve falls under the emissions warranty from what I could find. My emissions warranty just expired, so I was wanting to change the valve myself if it comes to that. I found that the egr valve could be clogged and need cleaning also. The 3.0 has two egr valves, one being the high pressure and the other being the low pressure, and I couldn't find which one is most likely causing the fault. I might remove the low pressure one and clean it out to see if that fixes it first. I am new to diesel vehicles and wondering if anyone has any insight into this issue. I could be wrong with what I'm thinking is the issue, so any knowledge over the issue is appreciated.
