I love how Mitch explains some of the features of Mateus’ pedals. The biggest influence on your sound is your playing, not necessarily the gear. Also Mitch is a great interviewer-I love how he gives his guests space to talk.

Have been aware of Mateus for years and years through social media and always captivated by his playing, but I've never heard him speak before. Such a chill, humble and gifted dude. Very refreshing. He's the kind of guitarist that makes me want to be a better player, not just absorb their licks into my playing style.

Primeiro veja que orgulho não advém apenas do que você fez diretamente ou indiretamente, mas também, como o seu uso e etimologia apontam, de uma apreciação da ação de outros, normalmente demonstrado em casos onde há uma relação entre indivíduos, de forma que o feito do indíviduo de quem vem o orgulho engrandece de maneira ou outra o que se sente o orgulho; neste caso, é de uma facilidade enorme ver que o orgulho vem por conta da representação do Brasil na música, cujo conteúdo nacional perpassa o indivíduo e alcança além, à Pátria.
Mateus is on top of the world! And he definitely should be and deserves to be. So happy for him! It’s always good to see a deserving person achieve greatness and for things to work out for them. He’s such a nice guy.
Love this interviewer he let's Mateus have the floor. He's aiding the artist in his answers not talking for him or over him. The best interviewers are informed listeners!

I remember seeing Mateus for the first time on Tim and Pete's Guitar Show. How far he's come since then. Got to interrupt him tuning up at the Suhr booth at NAMM '18 briefly. He was gracious and humble and super talented of course.

Amazing playing, sweet sound Mateus! Mateus mentioned that he wished he could save and recall presets on the Flint. The Flint allows you to use a Strymon Favorite Switch to save and recall presets via the expression input.

His board is set up for his skill set. Which is super elite. So very basic/subtle effects, and never adds too much because his playing does all the work
The effects themselves don’t give a good player the color change in the sound, a good player accentuates the color changes in their playing with subtle effects. This is what I’ve noticed

Flint preset: I just put my Flint back on a board after years, and was doing some online research regarding presets. I think the Strymon ‘Tap / Favourite mini switch’ allows you to have a preset on the Flint and it’s cousins from that period? You have to set the external switch’s internal dipswitch so it’s either a tap tempo or can store a fave. I never realised this in the past so may be wrong.
Yea my pedal board well not really a pedal board but it's so silent and what a bargain. I enjoy the blue lights the most especially when they blink
