Wow, the last tip was truly an eye opener, so glad you included it! It really adds another layer of perspective to the other tips. So helpful, like always, Amy. Thank you for this great video! I'm actually starting to see my own results thanks to your advice. 🤩
Peace be upon you.

@@carolinaCCC5 Thank you so much, Carolina!
And if you have any questions related to academics, extracurriculars, US college admissions, study strategies, productivity advice etc., feel free to ask.
@@HumanHuman. You are welcome! And thank you. 😃
Yay I’m super happy to hear that my videos are already transforming your progress 🎉 Really grateful for you sharing your feedback as well so I know what to keep doing and improve in because sometimes I’m unsure if I’m trying to pack “too much value” into one video 😅 thank you for the support and for being part of our A+ fam ❤
I'll leave this comment to come back in 2026 as student in my dream university
You can do it!! ❤
@@Selly1801you too❤😊
Same hopefully i'll get into my dream university
The university you get into does not matter focus on actually getting into the career you want nobody in the real world ask what school you went to lmao
You got this I can't wait to hear from you in 2026
Choose your HARD.

"Every atom in your body pulls you away from being productive" 😂😂
Again, another great video, Amy!
That drive advice was fire, btw, Having a solid "why" fuels motivation and keeps you on track toward your goals.
Lastly, that advice about picking your hard was A BIG ONE!
omg you here?!
Oh hi hello
Hahaha! Heyoo! ✌🏼@@hangezoeSNK
👋🏼Hey! How's it going? @@Krish-7W
Wow thanks Mike and Matty! Super honored to have you back on my channel 🥰 Glad that you enjoyed the relatability and tips. Keep rocking! 🔥
As an Asian kid growing up, I received intelligence praise and a lot of pressure. I’m named after two doctors. Therefore, I stopped applying effort because I was labeled “smart.” When I started failing, my ego shattered and I embraced a heavy learned helplessness. Can you do a video on the praise for intelligence vs praise for effort? Too many parents naively praise intelligence
i relate so much with this
I related to this to an extreme level 🤠
Damn fr
couldn't relate to this more
oh wow, i recognize that phrase from carol dweck
only recently i made a little google doc about my whys and they were the exact same reasons as what youve mentioned. Made me feel deeply connected to you as not just a content creator but as a member of this wholesome community that youve build of people who are try hards and are proud of it.
Wow. That's incredible. You're awesome for proactively reflecting about your why's. And thanks for your constant supports and the questions you asked, such as the ones that helped me make my Efficiency video!
I'm super proud and grateful for this community too. The try hards are winning in life ♥️
We love a queen who delivers!
The video was 10/10
It feels really special that you remember.
@@hiya5412 Thank you so so much for these gem words that highlight the wholesomeness of Amy's community here! One of the best comments I have read on this community! Glad to know you feel like an essential part of the community, which indeed you are!

the fact that your dad would learn math competition techniques during his break makes me sob. like im actually crying 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 thank you for this video. im supposed to graduate this month and have A LOT of work to accomplish. wish me luck 😭
Best of luck :)
The strong sense of identity part is so true. I wake up everyday and remind myself that I'm "that girl". So I exercise in the morning, coz that is what "that girls" do, I study everyday coz that is what "that girls" do, I am kind to people, I have a hobby which i practice everyday coz that is what "that girls" do.
I went from a 2.7 in HS to a 4.0 in uni. I’m in my last year. This kind of content is how I’ve been thriving. Only after HS did I begin studying how to learn. I only wish my teachers taught me this stuff. It’s as if academia is all about the results instead of the how. Subscribed. Legit thx for your content!
Wow I'm amazed to hear your improvement! You're so awesome. Thanks for joining the fam :)
Motivation is the WHY, discipline is the HOW.
I have been struggling with motivation lately, and I've been a straight A student since literally elementary school, so this has been tough. thank you for this advice!
Leaving this comment for 2025 when I'm In college.
i technically already knew all of this within myself, but still needed a reminder, thank you! also props to your parents for raising you well, it clearly shows :D you seem like a very nice person
Aw thanks, you too!
I really appreciate how you were open and honest about your background and the sacrifices your parents made. I have a similar story and I have been taking things for granted so far!! This is exactly what I needed! Thank you so much for this reminder!!❤❤
You are a very brilliant woman, Amy! Thank you for this video. We truly appreciate it. ❤
I just want to thank you. You are definitely one of the best TH-cam channels I have discovered.
I gave an important exam few days ago which I worked really hard for and it went really bad... I had a burnout and decided to rest for some days but that rest turned into a slump and my another important exam is less than a month away... it was so hard to get out of that slump but then i watched this video and I'll quote your words "Everyday, every hour and every minute that I delay, I make myself less likely to give what I want to those I love" and paste this on my study wall to keep myself going. Thank you so much! i genuinely mean it
' every hour, every minute tha i delay i make myself less likely to give what I want to those I love' an eye opener thank you amy!
im in my first year of uni and I've been feeling so demotivated. subjects were way harder than they were in hs, and as someone who was always top of the class, it was an eye-opener. your videos help!
I appreciate you and your parents so much ❤️ Thank you for this beautiful video!
thank you so much for the video
Yesterday I had a statistics exam that went horrible, my motivation to study for my next exam was very low. I forgot why I was even doing all of this. But then I came across this video, and it opened my eyes. I made a list with my goals, and why I want to have my degree in criminology. The list is hanging above my desk, now whenever I feel less motivated I just look up at the little list and just instantly get motivated again. Truly thank you soo much!
And good luck to all the students ! Keep going you are doing great!
Did You Know?? My dad also says that to like LEGIT all my relatives... My parents moved to Canada and my dad who used to own a multi-millionaire company, drove a garbage truck and worked at pizza stores. My mum worked at a daycare even-though being a chartered accountant. Your words are so motivational and make me really emotional..... I want to do it so I do my side for my parents because they did sooo much eventhough being the first-generation family. I asked my dad for a toy last year but he couldn't buy it because of our financial situation. 2 years after, he remembers it and brought me it again. Your words really stick to my heart. I love you thanks so much!!!
Thank you for sharing your experience.
It's always a delight reading your positively refreshing perspective on Amy's community! You are an essential part of this amazing community.
And don't forget to share this valuable vlog with others as well so actual narratives of productivity can reach many!
My entire family knows Amyy lol@@HumanHuman.
Thank you so much for making this video, I really need it 😭❤
Amy said what I've been wanting to hear for so loong. My drive goes way beyond academic success since I've wanted to achieve a whole new life that is incredibly hard to get to. Studying is just a way to get there, so the key is remembering the core of the goal, the main WHY, not just romanticizing studying.
Ah I'm so glad to echo your thoughts! Yes, romanticizing studying is not the best solution. You've got a great attitude that will take you far!
the tiny laugh in the end was cute lmao.
Thanks for the video girl! it's actually true that it's important to develop good habits and aura for when we are still in our not-so-adult teen phase because when we grow up and when We are out there on our own and figuring out our life, it won't be easy to be able to sustain without the good habits.
I can relate a lot to what you said at 5:25 . My dad has an excellent knowledge in math, so if I was struggling with a problem he would spend HIS time studying and going through it with me. I am driven by the sacrifices my parents made for me, so I want to make them proud.
you are a sweetheart with so much beauty and dont mean only physical but your aura and your energy. Your eyes radiate kindness and thats worth more than all your achievements combined. No matter were life takes you and i wish you MANY MANY SUCCESSES always keep your kindness . thank you from a fellow student
I loved this video💙Thank you for your encouragement!
Great to hear your story! It really inspired me😊. Thanks for sharing!!
Yay super happy to hear! Thanks for watching! Please share with others :)
I am so glad i stumbled upon your channel. You truly made me realise that i want to achive something without knowing why i want the result so bad. Thank you so much, now i know what i have been doing wrong and now i know were to start fixing❤
I am so greatful that I saw this video today. Your videos made me realized how drive is far more powerful to have than motivation. It's the whys that keeps us going no matter how hard are things. Thank you for making me realized why I should keep going.
I’m grateful you found my video as well. You have so much potential and I believe reaching that potential can be a why for everyone :) you got this 🔥
Thanks for this, Amy. May God bless you ur such an inspiration ❤
i really appreciate you making this video !
thank you for this! since the pandemic started i have been struggling so hard to get to who i was back then... i was an achiever and like you it was my identity as i always get high grades and always do my best in everything i do,,, but when i got to college it's like i got tired and forgot my drive, i always knew that something is wrong but i can't figure out how to fix it. Thank you for this video because i think i heard what i needed to hear especially now that i'm already graduating and had continuous failing grades, it's been really hard and demotivating but i'll push through it's not too late
idk how to thank you, ive been always feeling like im doing something wrong in life or pursuing something that is inauthentic to me when i didnt even know what i even wanted to have as a career. ive finally realised that i have the exact same goals from you in life. to exploit my potential and to make my parents proud. idc what im doing in life as long as i know im doing something that compliments my potential and makes my parents proud of me. thats what my passion and why is aswell. thank you really.
I am having a break between my study sessions, I have to say Amy’s content is always motivating.😌☺️✨
I just discovered your videos on TH-cam and it truly motivated me when I needed it most. I'm following you now and look forward to learning more
I don't know where did you come by, but this whole piece is not motivation at all, instead is a complete true inspiration!! I mean I didn't know what was I after when I typed in study but kind of thus is exactly what I truly wanted to hear and relate to!!! Thank you so so much Maam!!
Great timing hope good luck guys
Thanks for being here! :D Good luck to you too!
Thank you for your videos. They really help :)
Thank you for this. I think I've been unmotivated for a while to do things, but that sense of urgency is always there, sometimes we just forget about it :)
Thankyou so muchh. You've Just became my saviour!!!!
Thanks very much Amy, this video is really good, i know this sounds a bit too much but your videos have been my rock when im on the verge of giving up. thanks soooo much, we love you
girl you did answers my biggest questions!
this video is amazing. thank u sm
Your videos have been very useful to me in my studies, more grace
Thanks for the video and good luck for 100 k😉
Yay hehe thank you ;)
I'm currently studying for the bar exam which is in 61 days, and this was very much needed. Your words as well as your excellent editing reminding me of how good it feels to achieve something I've worked hard for and to see my full potential represented. I'm also struggling w other positive habit-forming, so I think i will definitely return to this video in future to help me get a grip of what's important. 💕
I'm so thankful that today I discovered this video and this amazing youtuber, because I really needed motivation I was failing and failing but now I understood what I have to do to achieve my dreams💜
Tysm gurl 🤩
Wow thank you so much for this video the “why” part really changed my aspect of thinking, I went deep into my thoughts and thought about it so well that it actually made me get up and study. I’ve never seen a video this effective :)
found a sister !! . i have no sister but today i felt like you are my elder sister guiding me . thanku so much love you infinity 🥺💖💖
I just watched the video and this is really helpful! I've seen other videos talk about this topic but they never really had the same effect since they talked about doing routines, schedules and such, but hearing your parents' story also made me reflect on my own situation and it gave me get a bit of a reality check. The tip about drive instead of motivation was also really good, I realized I usually get bursts of energy when I think about the job I want or lifestyle I want to live rather than grades alone. I think the best tip was peeling back the layers of what you want to achieve and why, in order to get to the root of what you actually want. This is my favorite video from you, thank you! 😊
Peace be upon you.
Thank you so much for this detailed positive feedback. Glad to know you can relate to Amy. It's inspiring how you notice the details from Amy's content and find them to be relatable. This is the kind of feedback that's also one of the WHYs for Amy!
Yes that peeling back the layers of onion was a unique analogy used by Amy to get to the 'root' of what one wants!
Your words for Amy's wholesome community are vitalizing, please do consider writing such positive words on Amy's upcoming content too.
Happy to know this is your favorite vlog from Amy, indeed it promotes actual deep reason to make you productive in the long run rather than just highlight superficial routines etc tactics. That's why don't forget to share this valuable vlog with others as well so actual narratives of productivity can reach many!
Stay blessed!
i love your content so much!! it helps me a lot!!
U explain things soo well, thank uu sm!! 😊
Thank you so much❤
Hello Amy!! I have no words to express how have you motivated me throughout a period I have been seeing that change in me and particularly the videos that you make keeps me going and I am so thankful and grateful that you really understand our problems and using your tips in my daily life is proved to be a great success and now its like in part of my life. Thank you so much for your awesome tips I am now capable enough to say that now I am satisfied with my grade and there is just more and more growth downfall now has no scope in my life. Lots of love
Thankyou so much for this i already knew all this but desperately needed the reminder ❤
I have the same personality like you, almost similar incidents, right now, same thing was happening every atom of my body was pulling away from the hardwork of studying. Thanks for putting up this video. Loved every second of it. :)
thank you so much amy!
You are blessed. Thanks for the inspiration MAY GOD BLESS YOU
Amy always motivates meee!!! Thank you ❣️
Hehe glad I can be your spark ❣️
I absolutely love your content!
You got the best parents and the video was really good thanks to you😊
thanks a lot . It works as a part of motivation for me.
thank you for this video
Im an international student, I have been always thinking about how to be better in highschool. Although I thought I tried my best I believed that I had not done anything yet, I felt bad about myself for not procrastinating and studying well. I tried to plan but felt many times, something I know that I could do better is that I should only focus on my self and stop comparing myself to others. Doing and keeping silence is the thing I am going to look forward to doing. Thank you alot
Thanks, It felt really great listening to this and will try applying this in my life too.
I started subscribing your channel today. I am obsessed with your videos, definitely helping me during all my low energy days in preparing for IGCSE's. You are such an inspiration to everyone, and are such a great example to how it IS possible to be super holistic and balance between so many different aspects. This is coming from someone who started the year with 7 extracurriculars, joined 2 sports teams, but had to decrease that to make more time for exam prep. Thank you for your effort and time in sharing what you got with the world. Keep it going!
I appreciate it so much!! Welcome to the fam and thanks for your kind words ♥️ Wishing you the best!
Thank you for the video and sharing your experiences 🙏🏻❤️
thanku so much. this has helped so much ily sis wtf. new fav video
Yaaassss so happy to hear ❤️
I really agree with your video and I can understand the concept of impulse. It's not about having motivation, but having a gear that moves you to act in a certain way, like your parents' example.
"IF YOUR WHY IS CLEAR, YOUR HOW IS STRONG" As an fellow asian i completely agree with that part where how our parents had their childood VS ours.
New subscriber here.

First time seeing your video! You are so relatable to me! Everything you just mentioned goes with me but I have lost my track! But thanks for remembering that I am something else! you just brought tears in my eyes! Thanks a loooooooooooooooooooot!💜💜💜
I just discovered your channel and I never really comment on videos BUT this vid!!!!!
You have no idea how much of an impact of what you said in this video had on me.
You sharing your why was very helpful because coming from a non very privileged position I always wondered what drove people from privileged positions to work so hard and I honestly respect you so much and this video has inspired my to reach my full potential and keep going and keep giving. thank you so much for this vid
OMG I can't tell you, thankyou so much!!! ❤️❤️
A very very clear voice you have. ❤❤❤
I don’t want a 4.0 gpa. We don’t have that here in India. My goal in life is to become a mathematician or a physicist, and I really want to pursue my higher education in Germany. I spent two years learning the language.
I’m also the only one in my class who isn’t taking any extra classes other than school and I’ve gotten straight As so far, even while having a lot of fun pursuing other hobbies everyday.
I’m 14 and in tenth grade, so I’ll be having my board exams in February, which are considered a big deal in India. Crossing my fingers 🤞
Wow.. I hope you achieve it
you're really inspiring,..hope you achieve your dreams
Good luck!
Wow that was me last year hope you succeed
Hallo! Ich wünsche dir viel Glück in der Schule und mit den Prüfungen, und hoffe dass du hier deine Hochschulreife schaffst! Much love ^^

Ahh you got this!! Thanks for watching!
You got the best parents!
Thank you girl❤ You motivated me, I’ve been trying to look for my why and I’ve been struggling with it a bit but, I think I’m starting to find it❤
Thank you so much for sharing your story! Your words have truly inspired me to approach my studies with unwavering dedication and commitment. Your determination is contagious, and I'm motivated now more than ever to give it my all, no ifs, ands, or buts. Here's to embracing the journey wholeheartedly and striving for excellence. Thank you again for being such a powerful motivator
thank you for the last tip!!
Yay thank you for watching!
Hi Amy! I recently begun watching your videos. I used to be a valedictorian myself in high school, but now I am in my first year of med school and I really struggle with the amount of stuff I have to study. I got a C on my first exam so after that I really felt down. Thank you for helping me to get back on track again, I always watch your videos now for encouragement. And btw you are absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you so much 🩷
And thus Amy has clarified through this vlog that 'motivation' alone is just a word that basically refers to 'short' bursts of mental energy to accomplish something, but 'long' term motivational mental energies to accomplish goal relevant tasks come from the DRIVE and the WHY! Life is a marathon, not a sprint, so rather than going after those 'short' bursts of mental energy, find your DRIVE & WHY which are actual motivation. Now that's the narrative that needs to be promoted rather than 'shallow pump you up' so called motivational tropes.
And the following 2 quotes mentioned in the vlog encapsulate the notion of DRIVE & WHY really well:
“It is our CHOICES, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
~ Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
(This quote has always been something, hasn't it!)
Regarding discovering the WHY: "You have to keep on peeling back the layers of the onion and go really really deep until you cannot go deeper anymore."
~ Amy herself
Also, when you mentioned David Goggins, Amy, it reminded me of his book " Can't Hurt Me". That book is a massive powerhouse!
And that "You are my WHY." was such a valuable surprise! Thank you!
I love your videos, they are really helpful !
It would be wonderful to hear about your parents journey and thoughts on applying your suggestions to the older generations. Thanks for your ear! ❤
I feel like I am behind everybody and that everybody knows more than me as I am student
Same boat 😅
Wonderful video as expected!!!!!!! ❤ in Loads
❤❤❤ loads back!
thank you so much i have been listening to your videos and i at the end of the year i got the highest score of my grade thank you so muchhhhhh
Your parents are so real for that
That's so nice of you... Like you literally picked the real "Why(s) " and went deeper into them... Which others hardly talk about apart from the static techniques that they focus more on
This also has helped relate to you at a much deeper level
Thank you dear for such a nice reminder...❣️❤😇
Thank YOU for watching and commenting! Your support helps me continue to make videos like this!
