Don’t worry it is not impossible to get command within 10 years, i know people who got command in 9-10 years, one get in 11 years doesn’t mean u can’t get early. Keep the good work going and u can achieve all you wish… keep in mind all you need is “dedication perseverance commitment”.

Sir I didn't get sponsorship, but I completed my first selling as TME from offshore vessel, now I m doing all the modular course for class 4 examination but sir I'm really baffled about my carrier because current seneraio of shipping industry isn't good getting job is very difficult , so sir is that possible can I get FG vessel after clearing my class 4 examination . DNS is like 17 year old girl married to a midle age man.... Where he only knows NSEW and goes on ship.... Their knowledge is limited. Plus what ever a deck officer learns is during the Phase 1 and 2 for Chief Mates... The plus point for 3 yr cadet is that he cover the items for chief Mates as well

Limited knowledge is better on ship , most of the things u learn in training aren,t practically used onboard so as I said dns is faster cheaper easier abs assured ( sponsorship) way to join , we have done only 4m pre sewa course and doing okay here 😀👍🏻❤️👏🏻
After cadetship u have to become 3rd officer , for chief officer learn when u go do mates , u don’t need so much knowledge as cadet and third officer , bsc nautical is actually scam to make more money for candidates.
Sir it's a personal choice... After all both DNS and 3 yr guys go through same things. But for a 3 yr guy it's a less chance that someone will take you for a ride on the ship
@@bhupindarsingh626 no they don’t we as officer prefer dns guys who have basic knowledge and don’t worry 😉 if u chief is bad it doesn’t matter any one will be taken for ride , onboard both treated same doesn’t matter what course u have done , most colonies prefer dns guys only

Sir i am a merchant navy aspirant just a few steps behind admission...i just went through ROR i researched abt it...it has 41 rules and atleast u need to byheart 19 of them as i know...HOW DO WE DO IT ...GIVE ANY TIPS PLZZ...SO MANY RULES SO MANY POINTS ...KAISE YAAD KARE?😭😭
hey regarding on how to memorize Colregs there is no real shortcut but i feel just remembering will not help first understand all the rules properly then its just a matter of reading it again and again remember one thing is that ror is a navigation officers bread and butter so it has to be well read and understood , read to book again and again and use to ror cards for lights and shapes for sounds try finding recordings of ship sound signals or try humming them, it worked for me maybe it will work for you as well best of luck
