I have been wondering wether I can obtain the translation of this interview in English, I am so fond of Sotin's performances, he IS Gurnemanz! His soft sounds are like honey to my ears, I do admire his incredible bass voice, warm regards from Caracas.

Hans Sotin - the last great German singer. He is my favorite Pizarro and Van Bett, and one of my favorite Wotan.
Does he Sing as low as he speaks?

A bass-baritone ? He sounds like a basso profondo to me (regarding the speaking voice).
Speaking voice can be somewhat decieving.
@@grouchomarx5609 Rarely, most of the time you can tell what voice type someone possess based on his normal usual speaking register.
Basso cantante I would say.
@@jostmiehlbradt6593 or just a bass (plain 'n' simple). Strict voice type including subtypes classification should be applied to singing only, imo.
