- Ironically, if you take a look at the bottom of the screen during races, Shadow is the only one who’s got a smiling icon, while the other characters’ icons are serious.
Here's the code to disable the brightness and set the game to 60FPS. Make sure you have "Disable slower effects" unchecked in PPSSPP's graphics settings: forums.ppsspp....

I always found it interesting how Shadow and Silver were the only ones to find out about Eggman Nega. It’s also kinda neat to see him help Eggman in this game.
He's helped Eggman a few times before.
NeoTechnoman Yeah that’s true. I really like Shadow as an anti-hero. I think he really shone in 06 and the Rivals series.
Shadow's ready to help Eggman when he's not trying to conquer the world or do some other bad thing. Canonically, Shadow fought Eggman only, like, three times (Ow the Edge, Free Riders, Team Sonic Racing). They are actually not so different, and they both have a soft side for a Robotnik family member (Maria for Shadow, Gerald for Eggman).
Same! I love how it continued Shadow and Silver's dynamic from '06 of being the two to find out the truth about their enemy. They even teamed up with Eggman too (which was a really cool transition)!

I notice a running theme with the plot in this game; the main characters could easily just talk to each other to resolve the issues at hand, but instead opt to just challenge each other to get to the goal.

13 years ago, I got a PSP along with this game as a birthday gift. Loved the game growing up. Never had the chance to play the sequel though.
Imo, Sonic Rivals 2 is the better sequel with a better story, more characters, better music, and voice acted cutscenes.
Shadow has to be like the coolest model out of these 5

so like ... this story ( Rival ) came after shadow the edgy the game and not 06 cuz 06 is not canon .... so like Eggman still think that shadow can stil work with him

As time went on, Shadow started to regret the fact he rejected Rouge’s offer. So he had an idea to reconsider and thought of a treasure hunting idea they should do. And that’s when they were shown in Sonic Free Riders.🏄♂️🏄♀️
