I was recently advised, as a foreign national here in Thailand to NEVER purchase and kind of property with the guidance is a property lawyer, as their will be things in your contracts ( in Thai ( that may not be explained to you properly! It’s good advice I think .
Most of the problem is because thai don't wish to pay for the repairs for the condominium extremely difficult to get them to pay it means foreigners have to pay a little bit more
This is nothing to do with foreigners behaving badly. This comes down to basic safe design and security of condo buildings and safe practices i.e. do the buildings have safe evacuation plans and routes posted in each building and are evacuation drills carried out; are there sufficient fire escapes and are fire doors operational and not locked; does the building have a fire alarm and suppression system, sprinklers, fire hoses and extinguishers are have these been regularly checked and tested; is there an assembly area where a head count can be made to account for all residents; are the condo staff adequately trained to handle emergencies; are individual condo entry doors fire safe and of a secure design, does the condo security team have written practices in place and are they actually carried out? These basic safety and security considerations apply to any condo resident and not just foreigners.
Sell small plot of land, no money for the Thai rich.. Buy an overpriced few rooms in a prison block, loads of money for the rich thais, Wonder why they don't want foreigners to own land 😂
What does condo safety have anything to do with foreigners behaving badly?

Can a home in a Thai housing development be owned by a foreigner under the 51/49 percent rule under a chanote?
