Tourism isnt a trickle down effect the majority of tourism spots in the global south that most westeners go to arent run by thailand natives but by europeans who tax evade to hoard as much money to themselves. The majority of the citizens end up livingin destitute poverty while westerners get to reap all the resources the natives arent afforded .

My wife and I get bud from the dispensaries here in Vegas and she always goes for the highest THC % and it drives me crazy so many times we have gotten stuff that said 30-35% THC and it's not even that good I really doubt the numbers are legit. I just always ask the budtender what their favorite is and I'm never disappointed and they usually range between 15-20% it's not all about THC those terps make a huge difference.
Yeah, even 19% bud but with good terps will get you baked. Strong thc weed but low terps flavor gonna be meh and the other effects are eh but you would be high just a dry one
Last 2 times I copped from legal states. 1 they said was northern lights but looked like gorilla glue took 1 hit and I got all paranoid and felt like i got sprayed with bug spray. Any general stoner thinks the more THC the better and dispensary's will always play to that. The whole THC dabs craze has a part to play also I think because it put a lot of hype around percentages when in reality that's not the core factor to a great flower.

i used to work for a farm in the U.S. and we would shake out our trim for keef and put that in our test bags that got sent off for labs to bump numbers. so yeah wed have outdoor testing at 28-30 and indoor as high as 35.

I've got a strain growing now that claims 30%+. It's called Galaxy 500. I plan on getting it tested when it's done. Either way, it looks frosty as hell in the 3rd week of flower. Way more than the other 3 i have going.
It’s legal. Just don’t be obnoxious and nobody will give you trouble. Indoors, don’t smoke, generally. Outdoors, don’t blow it in people’s faces and make some effort to be discreet around children and you should be ok. Common sense kind of stuff, really.

If it's legal to grow where your at, you can still find old school strains like thai,maui wowie or even mexi weed. But it might end up being stronger anyways if homegrown. It's kind of hard telling. It also depends how long it's grown for cut down early it can give kind of a edgy anxious high, too late it can make you too tired.

Coming from the industry myself I wouldn't be surprised if the companies that claimed the upper 27-32% are putting the total cannabinoid content instead of just pure THC testing. It is a common problem I have been running into here with the US based market. They will advertise the total but when you arrive and actually look at the testing label it will show a lower THC testing.
It's not necessarily true that flower can't hit 35%, it is very rare though. But I live in Oklahoma, United States where medical is legal! And we do have a couple indoor grows who do produce high percentage thc flower!

Are they claiming total thc? THCa? And what does your tester test for? Total thc (delta8,9,10 - mostly 9) is 87.7% of THCa content ( .877xthcA content = total THC content)
I normally pay 1000baht for three grams or an eighth in Pattaya which is about the same as New York City. Many of the higher end Thai weed stores are franchised from large companies some of which are foreign. They aren’t normally going to give you a reason to organize a class action suit.
People complain about high testing bud , but higher thc means the plant has reached a peak in its development. Good weed does test pretty high consistantly. Its not the same as buying everclear. Thats ridiculous.
iirc it's almost impossible to get more then 28.5% just because the plant needs the other stuff to be a functional organism. therefore stuff that's actually stronger has to be processed or pimped like hash, wex or moonrocks

In my opinion, chemotype is way more important than a thc metric. The chemical makeup of what you are smoking has more influenece on how you percieve it than simply thc numbers. Dont let them upsell you into a metric that has little meaning.
Yeah I live in Michigan a legal recreational state and on every label it is stated that the THC % is +/- 10 % so I rarely pay attention to the % because at a +/- 10% it is too wide of a margin to even care about

I normally pay 1000baht for three grams or an eighth in Pattaya which is about the same as New York City. Many of the higher end Thai weed stores are franchised from large companies some of which are foreign. They aren’t normally going to give you a reason to organize a class action suit.
People complain about high testing bud , but higher thc means the plant has reached a peak in its development. Good weed does test pretty high consistantly. Its not the same as buying everclear. Thats ridiculous.
My local shops here constantly advertise “normal flower” up to 44%.. Should come visit and test.

iirc it's almost impossible to get more then 28.5% just because the plant needs the other stuff to be a functional organism.
therefore stuff that's actually stronger has to be processed or pimped like hash, wex or moonrocks

In my opinion, chemotype is way more important than a thc metric.
The chemical makeup of what you are smoking has more influenece on how you percieve it than simply thc numbers.
Dont let them upsell you into a metric that has little meaning.
I smoke a lot of gmo cookies in Toronto and they usually claim around the 30 mark with 3.5% terps and pink cookies x kush mints at 31% thc 3.5%terps

Yeah I live in Michigan a legal recreational state and on every label it is stated that the THC % is +/- 10 % so I rarely pay attention to the % because at a +/- 10% it is too wide of a margin to even care about

I was in Thailand for several months 23 years ago. At the time you could go to a very harsh prison for YEARS for being caught with literally a couple of grams of bud. My how things have changed.

Every bud on the same plant are different in thc. The best are always the top ones it’s normal and understandable because its the biggest and gets the most light. And the plant puts the most power in the main bud.
Maybe they do test it, maybe they test the best looking piece and it’s higher than the rest? Idk.
