    Hey everyone! Thanks so much for watching! I film all of these clips one take, and in the circumstance of filming + runnning off like 20 minutes of sleep, I did make a few mistakes in the video that I wanted to correct here:
    A. The Dutch government did not gift the House Of The Five Senses. I must’ve been thinking of Energylandia getting a few dollars from the EU to boost tourism in Poland, have no clue how I made that mistake. I apologize if it was misleading
    B. I also said in a comment that the Netherlands has free healthcare. I was also wrong, and I since deleted the comment to prevent misinformation. Since a ton of European counties do provide universal healthcare, I assumed it was standard across the EU. My apologies!
    I want to thank everyone for leaving comments and letting me know about my factual incorrectness, I love learning and am sorry if I got anything else wrong that I forgot about. I absolutely loved this park and will be very honored to visit the Netherlands to visit this park again in the future!

    Great video. Good to know that Efteling is not a company where profit can be made (legal wise). No corporation or a big factory, rich family (like europarc) is behind/support them with money. So all money needs to go back in the parc. Yes they run maybe on a 1/15 of a budget what Europarc or Disney has. Food for thought, what an amazing theme parc they still managed to create. Symbolica trackless was invented by a small dutch company for example.

    I'm glad you so much enjoyed our little park here in the The Netherlands. As for why Python feels so out of place is that it was the first Major Thrill ride to the park. When ita was build it was the biggest baddest coaster in europe thats why they kept it cause its an iconic ride. They wanted to make it bigger but sadly they ran into some trouble wich why it was financialy not doable. Its me home park and personaly i think it's getting to outdated and they need one decently good coaste (not that the coasters they now have are bad it just they could use one that fits the status of the park nothing to insane it isn't a thrill park).

      @CoasterCactus  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@arturobianco848 I would perfectly agree, as far as the Arrow (cough, Vekoma) loopers go this is probably my favorite. Absolutely blew my expectations. However, it feels weird to have such a cookie cutter ride next to some of the best themed rides in the world. I do hope if they ever do remove it that it gets relocated because the retrack is amazing and I do believe it deserves a spot in the park, just not in that huge plot of land. I would love an Intamin or Vekoma motorbike coaster here! Something like Hagrids at Islands of Adventure.

  • @ruhalfoyls

    The python was at its opening the biggest steel coaster in europe i believe. So its history, like how the pirate ship is (was, i dont really keep up) the biggest in the world, and the mad house was a prototype so also the first in the world. A whole lot of old rides have a huge amount of history in the efteling and that is ehy they are kept. My heart will always weap thinking of our old ride bob. Max&moritz is fine, but its not bob.

      @CoasterCactus there were many reasons i used to love it. During certain weather conditions it ran so fast and smooth. I know now its highly unlikely but it always gave a feel of if the entire group would lean in the corners it might tip. And it was often a ride with a little to no wait time. (And as a early teen, it was just the right amount of thrill to convince everyone i was hardcore while every "adult" coaster would scare the crap out of me)

    Carnaval Festival is the oldest dark ride in the park, and yes; it's dated. But it's also extremely nostalgic and the kids absolutely love it. They have an entire media franchise surrounding it, including a very popular tv show. I think removing it would be a very bad idea. I do think they would do well to seperate it more from the "World of Sindbad" right next to it, perhaps with more greenery, a wall or even rerouting the entrance to the other side.

      @@CoasterCactus As a Dutch person that really likes the Efteling, I agree with you. I have a certain disdain for this ride, in part because I hate the aesthetic of it, but mostly because of the racism. As others have said, they apparently did a refurbish and removed like 10% of the racism, but it's still very much there. Missed the point. Don't mind the other commenters, the Netherlands has been swept up by crazy conservative thinking recently but I swear there's a lot of decent people here that see the problem as well. Python is a classic in Efteling. It was installed in 1981 and was the first looping coaster in Europe. The park wanted to get more teens into the park and opened that new area along with the Giant Pirate ship.
    So not a little of theming, but a true classic.
