    Very good and simple demonstration. I would use Woodenware for stiring on metal or non stick pans though. Particularly non stick pans. It is not recommended using metal stirring spoons etc, as this scratches the Teflon (which is already toxic).
    For the sensitivity to listeners who may not like the sound of metal stirring on metal, Woodenware would be less noisy to sensitive ears. As it may sound like running ones fingernails down a blackboard!
    Otherwise, I am trying and enjoying making this recipe now😊. Thank you 👏

    Made this today as its one of my favourite foods, i have been over complicating all my curries and usually they all come out tasting the same, (which im bored of) so it was nice trying it simplified and it worked perfectly . I used too much salt and didn’t brown my garlic enough. But at least i know for next time, thanks for your video though it made me feel like i could attempt this. 😊

    Appreciation to you for a wonderfully simple, concise & informative video!
    Thanks.
    Is always necessary for us to soak lentils due to tummy issues; also, decreases this gas on those with bowel/intestinal gas issues.
    Do you recommend that the lentils be thoroughly washed & then soaked at least for 20 minutes minimum prior to cooking? Or is it straight into the pan with the boiled water?
    Kindly advise please.

      Thanks for your comment. I normally soak hard lentils and beans like kidney beans, urad dhal and dried chickpeas as they require pre soaking to re hydrate to ensure quicker cooking. Moong dhal I don't normally soak as it cooks quickly. I hope this helps.

    Good job as always, just missing I feel a bit of explanation about what kind of Mung bean to buy would be cool as this will vary, you are using Indian Mung beans but there are a lot of varieties. This kinda threw me when I went into Wiki to straighten it out, then halfway down they showed pics of the varieties. I would just say to bear in mind a lot of us fellas are taking our first step into the kitchen and can get confused with terms experienced cooks take for granted. Hugs!!

    Why not wash/rinsh your lentils as the water went immediately cloudy when your stirred.
    And get a sharper knife to take the teflon off of the bottom of the once non-stick frying pan as it adds to the flavour!
    Close the gas on an electric hob?
    And your ingredient list said garam masala, but you almost forgot it. Did it need cooking?
    I've got the ingredients, wish me luck.

    • @MyLittleKitchenRecipes
      @MyLittleKitchenRecipes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steve, the lentils were washed and ah yes 😂 the knife and the pan! Lesson learnt. No the garam masala is added just for garnishing and flavour right at the end of the cook, so doesn't need to be cooked.

  • @sforsterification
