Very nice job. You should be proud of your efforts. Lovely little boat. Drone shots very cool too.
I just finished binge watching your series on this boat. I myself have a 1969 model of this exact same Silverline Swift boat with a 1969 Evinrude Ski Twin 33 hp motor on it. I watched to see what the guts of your boat looked like and what you had to do to fix it. It was very illustrative what all you found. And your boat turned out fantastic.
By the way, my boat still has its data plate and I found some sales brochure information on this boat. It’s factory rated for up to 50 hp. I bet you would get a bit more spunk with an upgrade and maybe 35 mph out of it with a lightweight 50hp. The previous owner I bought the boat from water skied with their whole family on board. I was skeptical, but I see you also were able to ski behind the boat.
This is a great looking boat out on the water.
Mine is the original aqua blue deck and interior with the sand color (kinda a seashell soft white) hull. The Evinrude is the dark semi metallic blue with the white engine cover with the red Evinrude decals and the blue carburetor and pull starter access door on the front. It came with electric start. I too still have the original windshield and it looks great.
Do you still have the boat or have you moved on to something else?
That's great! It'd be cool to see pictures of your boat, I also saw a brochure advertising 50 horsepower for this boat. My 1994 40 horsepower though does a pretty good job keeping this boat at speed even with four people in it.
I do plan on selling it soon though, but it's all about finding the right buyer. This is more of a unique boat that not all people would really appreciate.
Thanks for watching all the videos eh. If you ever have any questions? Feel free to email me at project2potential@gmail.com
Молодец ! Красивая лодочка получилась.
I'm 69 a d did many of those many years ago in upstate ny, you did a great job
Thank you, appreciate it. Id like to do another one someday, it was alot of fun.
For the past month iv been looking into getting a boat. Just a small boat to go out on lakes with the misses and our daughter. Knew nothing about boats but after my few weeks of research I came to the conclusion this is exactly what I want to make. Been searching for the past 2 weeks for a build similar to what my plan is and this is spot on what I was wanting. You've turned it from being possibly my next project to definitely my next project. Once I get the car finished off. Very nice mate hope you and your family have had many great memories already with your lovely wee boat. Hope to see more from you in the future or even a revist on this project. ❤ this
Thanks Ollie, we have definitely made some great memories in our boat. I hope your able to find one for yourself
@Project2Potential thats good to hear man. Have you any new projects coming up? Be good to see more content I really enjoyed watching this project 👍
Actually I just started a Jetski. So more videos will be coming off that. 😄

I was captivated by the videos. It was such a huge amount of work you did. At times I wondered how it would all turn out. Your attention to detail and patience is astounding. Time and patience always wins out. A very excellent job done. I would love to see the boat on Brady Lake. Maybe one day I could help you on a project.
Thanks for all the videos .I especially enjoyed my grandson Jayce getting involved.
Your Dad.
Haha Thanks dad! I appreciate your input and advice as the boat came together, was well valued! would love to do a project with you sometime!
Well done, Luke. It was quite a haul to get it to this point, but you now have a like new boat. The Swift was a fun little model. Perfect family boat, many go for a big gas guzzling inboard, but you'll have every bit of fun with that Silverline than the guy who will be making payments for the next decade. But you'll have one thing he won't- satisfaction of doing it yourself. Good job, sir!
Thanks Stu! I do like how little fuel the 40 Johnson consumes, and still able to use it for water sports. the satisfaction is definitely worth every penny! And I don't owe anything on it 😉
You did such a awesome job from start to finish have sumthing to be very proud of hope you keep it a long long time give to your son one day .or if not let me know if you ever decide to sell it 😜 . Thanks for sharing 🙏
Thanks man! Definitely proud of it. I'm toying with the idea of selling it. Where are you from? What's your email?
I really enjoyed your video series, thank you for all of your hard work on the boat and on the videos. You've helped to make my impossible 1977 Kennedy Cobra, possible. Cheers from Canada.
Thanks for watching, I hope your Cobra turns out! unfortunately I'm not familiar with that one. I'm also in Canada now 😉
@@Project2Potential Welcome to Canada! Julie

haha yes, sorry it took so long to get this one out! its been a busy month 🙂
@@Project2Potential How's is going? Anything new in the works?
Luke what a great job! Congrats. Now next project... something aviation related... like and old Continental IO-360 rebuild??
Thanks Uncle Bill! At work we just pulled a Lycoming O-320-B2B from a Citabria champion! a rebuild is needed, the hanger is sending it out for that though.
Wow.... congratulations! That thing looks amazing! Watched all your videos, way to hang in there with this project. It would be interesting to see how that boat would handle with a 50hp. But that 40 is pretty amazing! Glad to see everyone's having fun on it.
Thanks Billy! I appreciated that!
Man thank you for these vids! good happy content! Love from AUS!
My pleasure Liam! thanks for following! 😎
Hello.
I am very impressed with your dedication and attention to detail restoring this old boat. For the summer of 2022 do you plan on installing a u shaped bench seat or a standard bench seat for additional passengers sitting in the back? Enjoy your boat this summer. David Page.
thanks David, I wasn't planning on doing a bench seat, tho its a good thought.
i watch the whole series and wow i have been looking to get into my 1960 mfg and u have showed me a little more then other videos I have watched learned lot's wish I could post a picture in comments of what my boat looks like but good job sir great work looks amazing would like to know where u got some of the stuff for yours so i can add to mine little bit jealous there guess i better hit the internet harder
Glad you enjoyed it! If you want to send me pictures of your boat you can email me at project2potential@gmail.com
Man, I'd cruise with you in the 56 p-14 any day. Mine has been transformed into a fishing rig though. 😂
That would be a good time! I bet it looks sharp!
I’ve watched all the videos. Good job! I think it would be cool to see you put a rear seat in it. As far as the next project idk it’s up to you maybe a jet ski or something? Idk
Thanks for following along! I do like the idea of a back seat I'll see about that! jet ski would be fun, I have always wanted one. if I find a good deal i'd definitely consider it!
I had a 1967 I believe it was it moved with 25 and 35 we put a used 40 yamaha short foot on it the first day we tried the motor I hit 35 with the gps and then found out the plugs where bad when I changed the the hual shot out the water so quickly and got up to 39 the next day my dad went bought a brand new 50 for his boat so I couldn't leave him behind as easily when we went fishing 😂😂 I miss that boat it was a great boat.
Haha what a great story, that's funny. Ya these boats are so light. I'm wondering what it would do with a 50hp
@Project2Potential I'd probably hit 45-50 with a 50 on there you'd definitely be the first at the good fishing spots 🤣🤣 my dad knew a guy that put a 75 on his and put all the controls in the center and turned it into a racing boat he said the back of the boat was all that would ever touch the water thats the only time I've ever heard my dad say he'd be scared to drive something 🤣
Just finished your whole series and I was very impressed! If you don't mind sharing, how much was the total cost of the renovation? I am at the beginning stages of doing my own renovation so would be curious to see what your total was for the restoration since you did it all yourself.
GREAT,,,,
Thanks man!
Fantastic video found you by chance iam from the UK we do the same sort of stuff boats trains alsorts I've subscribed
This is my third time watching all your videos because I’m about to start my own restoration on my boat. Great job btw it’s crazy to see how you basically rebuilt everything on the boat to last a long time! I’m starting my restoration as well this month, out of curiosity approximately how much did it cost for everything, if you don’t mind sharing?
I'm not exactly sure but I think just over $3K
How much does that beauty weigh after the reno???
That's a good question, the engine has definitely added the most weight, It performs well though. I often think it's a little overkill and should perhaps downgrade to a smaller short shaft motor. But that's also a lot of work and money haha.
Great job on the boat! Please set a good example for your son, and wear a life vest too.
thanks! also that's a good point 🙂
Hey There... I just bought an old boat similar to yours called a "Skagit" and I'm going to do a rebuild just like you did, I'm in Coeur d'Alene, and want to know what brand of gauges you used on your dash?
Hey Scott, congratulations on your new boat! If you have any questions feel free to ask. I just moved away from Coeur d'Alene 2 years ago. I'm back in Canada now. I use to drive my boat up and down the Spokane River. It's very beautiful out there. I miss it
@@Project2Potential Howdy! Were you ever able to find out what the name of the push-pull steering system was that you used?
Sorry, I responded to different comment with this answer to you, but you must not have got it.
This is the style I used. I bought mine used tho. Haha, much cheaper.

@@Project2Potential Thanks so much! I found out that my boat is a 15.5' 1964 Glastron Aqua Lift and she's not in too bad of shape once I got all of the pine needles and pinecones out of her. I'm documenting and disassembling now, and thanks to you and your videos, I will have a much easier job of it!
@@scottwolfe8586 glad to help! :)
