Those Canadian boat builders were very industrious! Super cool that even up north in Canada they had fin fever. I'm restoring a 1962 Dorsett Farallon and a 1959 Glass Craft Olympia.
Sometimes, it's hard to believe that this country once thrived in many areas and was innovative in many industries. This is another spectacular example.
Here is an opinion a lot of people will hate me for lol. I grew up in wood boats. In the early 1970's I went to work at Formula/Thunderbird in the front office. They made excellent boats. That said, even at the plant we called them 'plastic boats'. For me, no plastic boat will ever hold a candle to the wooden classics, from Chris Craft, Lyman, Garwood, and on and on. I knew Don Aronow and his Cigarettes. He originally owned Formula, and Donzi and Magnums (love Donzis). But, plastic is plastic. Sigh. I still long for the family's 1960 Chris Craft Sea Skiff. Have tried for years to locate it and buy it back. No luck. Bless you and your love for boats.
Just bought a 54 glasspar marathon 14/6 for 400 that is beautiful from the original owner hardly needs any reto cant wait i love them this is my first attempt beautiful boats on here
I just picked up a 14 foot Fiberglass 1953 Heters Hudson Bay. The Fiberglass is transparent. I plan to find a period outboard to use on it. My next boot if I can find one will be a Herters Flying Fish with the big fins. I also picked up a 1981 Rinker T151 Tri Haul.
Our family has a starcraft from the sears catalog 1967 with the original 85 Johnson outboard.i had it restored to its original condition 20 years ago from a gentleman in bracebridge
Had a 1957 Wizard hardtop boat of only 16 feet. Miss her. Traded for a 1997 SeaRay. Dealer said he collected old boats. Hope she found a good home with guys like these!
I got a old restored 7.5 hp Elgin motor , I think its a 1954 ? Or 1964 ..cant remember for sure now ..its been under a blanket in a spare bedroom for so long I can't remember what exactly it looks like .
I've got a 60's Pleasure Craft fiberglass Boat, with a Mercury 1000 hp outboard motor with the original Title and first owner's name on it, Which was used for an all lady's pyramid show, in the middle of the Lake in the New Mexico Sunland park Race Trac & casino, I ended up buying it from the ex owner of the west Texas airport, for a friend in Mexico, well after 15 years he never took with him, he passed away Jan 1st 2019, so I kept it, I'll let it go for a good price, I'll sell it, or trade it for a jet sky.
Certainly brings back my childhood memories.
Wow. The old boats have so much more charm and character than new ones. Awesome collection.
Fantastic to see our boat history preserved by these gentlemen.
Awesome to see these boats and engines restored. Excellent work!

An early 13’ Boston Whaler is a must for the collection!
US govt asks for a huge order. Owner says, “go through our distributors.” Classic class.

Would love to have the expertise to be able to restore my boat like those. Nice hobby.
Good job. I have hoped to see some early fiberglass inboards, Correct Craft, Century, etc.

Wow
Anyone have a contact number for the gentleman Tim Jackson that did the restoration on the Sidewinder?
Very interesting...but to be real boats they need to be in the water with peep's in 'em and wakes behind.😂

I bet you don't have a Tropicana Performer. I think I have the last survivor
can someone please tell me what was the fastest commercial outboard made in 1955
Dad had a friend with a 110 Mercury in those days, but not exactly positive it was 55.
You lost all credibility within the first 12 seconds.
