I was going walking with my kids at the beach at Mayport Naval Station, when these came up over a dune surprising us 20 feet away. Pretty cool for the kids.
So will all future Navy ships be equipped with Strikers chained on their decks? A very weird application of a land vehicle, though keeping the gunners sharp on their journey to land IS important.
In my day, we used to call it bore sighting on our Abrams M90 tanks.😊

Yes. Bradley has a 25mm m242 Bushmaster chain gun. LAV has that and M240 and 7.62 machine gun.
Hard to control in any swells. Gyroscopic stability is a must.

Can't tariff something that has already been purchased and in custody.
Also can't Tariff something that is intellectual property of a US headquartered company. If it wants to shift production to the US it will. Besides the tariff is targeting certain countries and certain imports. We're not stupid enough to tariff our own defense industry.

I wonder how many M777 howitzers can fit on the deck of Wasp or America class amphib... the USN has 9 of these ships currently in service. Lining up several 6.1 inch guns on the deck would make them among the most powerful shore bombardment vessels in the world. Yeah they bob like a cork in the ocean, but modern shells and targeting computers can account for a lot of that. Besides, the 155 is powerful enough so that close is good. Far better and cheaper than missiles will ever be.
Well a 155 has a 30 -35 mile range on non assisted shells. Good for taking out a small port or docking area.
I’m not sure the trails/spades of the M-777 could be effectively secured to the deck in a way that would permit accurate direct fire engagements. What would you propose?
yes but they would be sitting ducks for aerial attack. drones, aircraft, missiles..potential counter fire from the shore...
I wonder if they could "unleash" the LAV and have it self propel itself through the water and chase the target... it is amphibious right?

Bro they suck at aiming , look at how much spread. They should try playing call of duty mobile same experience, it’ll help them better train if you ask me. I know I’m a high tanker, I qualified for ANY weapon , war vehicle you can think of , yes including legend and mythics.
